A old family home medicine for this situation: 5 parts lemon juice, 2 parts celery, 1 part Grappa. Put Grappa in glass. Drink immediately. Give juice and celery to your friend.

Aisha is Oromo. Lives in Chewaka. So even more difficult as there are less government support offices in the countryside. And electricity is off more than it is on.
Yes sometimes a little luck does help. Thanks!

This is not what's good for the goose is good for gander. What is good for a man is equally good for a woman ; or, what a man can have or do, so can a woman have or do. This comes from an earlier proverb, “What's sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander.” I find what you are excited about is not always what she is excited about. But if you don't get excited about what she is don't worry about cuddling tonight. Just grab TED and head for the refrig for a cold one.

Note to File: go to photography studio and get the passport photo taken correctly. A lot cheaper than a RFE

Hi Everyone!!
Im not active in this thread but Im reading and loving reading this everyday. Im so grateful to see alot of encouragement and help from everyone.
I just want to share our case. We filed in Nov 02, Got RFE in Dec 29, Received RFE hard copy in Jan 04, and Sent the RFE reply on Jan 05. The RFE is about that criminal record box that we forgot to tick. We are hoping for approval next week.
Im 32 years old and my fiance is 41. I met him online in Aug 2014, and seen each other twice. And because we had RFE he decided to have a short trip back here in the Philippines for a week. We will celebrate his birthday together on Jan 29th.

Looks like I am late to the party. The template above is pretty much the same that I used accept with different circumstances and my initial Petition was approved.
I assume the reason you did not submit the waiver request with your I-129F is that you read the instructions regarding IMBRA and filing limitations as written which state b.) You previously had a K-1 petition approved and less than 2 years have passed since the filing of such previously approved petition" The key word being "approved" since the person you petitioned in earlier this year was NOT yet approved you did not feel it was necessary to file the waiver.
Unfortunately different adjudicators may read this requirement differently. Well that is all in the past now. Your RFE is in hand and your response looks appropriate.
A few things you may want to do if you have not already is SIGN in ink AND date the waiver/letter that you send also add your WAC number to the letter in the event it gets disassociated once it arrives at USICS. Double check the requirements and instructions on the RFE to be sure you are following what they are asking for.
Make a photocopy for your records of the letter and ALL documents you send back. Finally I would send with USPS TRACKING that is for your piece of mind.
Not sure it they will input it at this time but you could also send in form http://www.uscis.gov/g-1145 if you didn't with your I-129F.
Good luck and let us know what happens. (I will not send the PM as you have your answers here but feel free to PM me if you have other questions.)

"This thread is for bonding. Go to your specific country thread and follow their specifics...."
Or something like that.
Opps We (Ethiopia) have no thead. It is basically you and I.
So this is what I have done---
Took 2 days to decompress. Did nothing Completed the 160 in draft, just to do something Made general comments on VJ Got stressed out by reading other VJ threads in prep for interview Started calling NVC 7 business days after NOA2 date That is pretty much where I am at. Sort of winging it from this point.
Once I have NVC number I'll submit the 160 Track the DHL package to Ethiopia Give Embassy 2 days after package arrives before I call them to ask questions about when to schedule interview Schedule interview online Schedule air trip Have Aisha go to medical/police Arrive 2 days in advance of interview to prep Interview --- Pay for visa (Im still not sure if I pay Visa at Embassy, or online) I think this is what I am doing.
You are Nov so welcome to the group. Hope you stick around

I came to realization that I have made way too many calls to NVC. Why... you ask? 1) Memorizing their script as good or better than the call taker, 2) Being overly creative when trying to trick them in to actually looking at my file, and finally (this might be disturbing to some of you) 3) Memorizing the outgoing on-hold message: "All of our customer service representatives are (I swear it sounds like he is saying "is") still helping other customers. Please continue to hold, we appreciate your patience".
This evening marked the last time I will hear that message. A lady named Evette answered. This was unlike the many other calls. Instead of the usual run around and giving me the 30 to 45 day scripted line asking for my case number (that's why I am calling) she immediately asked "May I have your receipt number? May I have your name? May I have the beneficiary's name and date of birth? She then said "we received your case today and I am entering in to the system right now". Then she asked me if I was prepared to write down some information... CASE NUMBER She went on to say that they do not hold on to the cases very long at all, not more than a day or two at the most.
I'm gonna miss that message okay okay... another lie from me.
No more super long posts from me

Not really. You can sit and wait for the powers of the almighty government do it for you. Does it ever get freezing cold in Ethiopia? By getting your case number, you are able to sometimes shave off 1-2 months waiting time. That's all we are doing here. Speeding up the process because the government moves in one speed. When we are control we can move as the speed of sound but the government well, that's another story.

There are still a lot of people waiting with an NOA1 date the same as yours or even earlier...don't worry. Check Igor's list for the progress of filers around your date if it makes you feel better (scroll down until you find the November list): http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/monthly_filers.php?cfl=
We know how much it sucks, we're all in the same boat....this is our support group....welcome!

Hey guys!! haven't seen you since last year
I want to ask those who have already got the NVC number.
1)Did you all got the mail(or e-mail) from NVC ?(because oftentimes people do not receive anything from NVC)
2) Or maybe you called them after 2-3 weeks?
Everyone who still haven't got theirs NOA2 - BE strong , it would happen sooner or later!

Let me make a prediction. I love the interaction and the help and the jokes here in the November group. The other groups are good also, but they don't have the personality that this one has. My hats off to you all.
So the prediction. I noticed that you are putting on about 2-3 pages a day of comments and help and at that rate by the time the last one of you is approved and on your way, I think we will be turning off the lights on around 500 pages. That's got to be a record.
