I dont understand!
Didnt someone say they are supposed to update every 2 weeks?????? WHY in the hell are the still processing December 31 2005!!!???????
-
but I cant send anything to them right now untill I get the RFE right... ?
-
thankgod there is someone as young as me...
and the whole RFE thing.... we were in such a hurry to send off the documents.. and we didnt know we had to really put any evidence so we put in a picture of us of graduation... but reading these threads recently I am sure that is not enough.. you are lucky you are doing this throughVSC
well im even younger. I'm so glad there are younge couples out there too! If all the evidence you put in there was a picture of you graduating than I would say you really would get a RFE for that. Pictures are secondary and they really want to see passport stamps to show you have been together in the last two years. if you didn't send anything like that you have to just wait. I haven't heard of anyone being successful in sending off info to add after mailing petition. I have a RFE to deal with because I didn't send in enough. It wasn't really explained and they didn't seem to like it.
The problem with the RFE I am bound to get is that we lived in the same state for 4 years.. and I dont have anything else except thousands of pictures.. he did come over to visit me over xmas... but that was a recent thing would they except that? I dont know if he has any boarding passes.. I think he threw them away... I am so frustrated.. and I didnt even get the RFE yet!

I was just thinking,,,... and i might be just over thinking.. since i am reading these threads every day..
does anyone know if age plays any part in the K1 process?
I am 21... and I am thinking what if at the interview they may think I am too young... or not trust in our relationship? I ve known my fiance for 5 years.. and we love eachother....
can anyone share their expirience?
thanks
It's nice to see someone younge doing this too. I'm only 19, (soon to be 20) and my fiance just turned 21 last week. I've only known him for a year, but I know how I feel. I've never really questioned the age thing. (maybe i should. AHHH) It's stated you have to be over the age of 18 and as long as you are and have a valid relationship with lots of evidence to prove it I don't think you will have a problem. As for getting a RFE for your age I really don't think you would. I don't think they can doubt the relationship just on age. In this process every single thing will make you question if you will get it. I'm such a worrier too.

Juliekins,
Hi There! How old is your partner? The fact that you've known each other so long will definitely be in your favor. And I don't think age will be an issue, there are people on these boards 10-15 years apart. As long as you have enough evidence that you two have a long lasting and stable relationship you should be fine. I am 17 and my fiance is 20. We've known each other for 6 years. We've managed to get as far as we have with no real problems. Keep your chin up. We know how hard is it when your mind wonders waiting to hear some news.

He ll be 22 in October... i guess I just have so much time on my hands to think about all this... its frustrating.. and I just keep thinking of what else may go wrong...i am alreAdy preparing on getting the RFE
-
short answer.... yes
if you provide enough proof of relationship such as passport stamps, hotel receipts, and boarding passes (airplane, train, or ship) and a few pictures, you could be ok.
Now you are scaring me...
I have thousands of pictures.. we went to school together.. graduated on same day... his parents love me.. after I left the states he came and visited me...
but I am still freaking out!

no i didnt sign up.. i just go there and type in my case number
Ok, follow these steps
Go to USCIS.gov and click on "Case Status & Processing Dates"
Click on Create/Edit customer portfolio account
Accept the Terms and Conditions
Fill out the next form (asking for tons of information!)
Once you have finished that you will be taken to a page to Login. Use the username and password you just created and select "Customer" from the dropdown box.
You'll be taken to a screen with a gray box. Find the link saying "To add a case to your portfolio click here.
Click it and put in your application receipt number.
All done! I think, I can't go farther than that since I already have a case in there.
OOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooohhh thank you thank you!!
ahh.. I am sorry I bothered you.. can I ask you one more thing though? how do I get my time line posted like everyone else on this site?

maybe I am on the wrong page..
ok... I go to USCIS.gov.. then I click on check case status online,.... I type in my case number.. and I get to a page that looks nothing like yours.
on top it says CASE STATUS
then mentions my reciept #
and Apllication type
damn it....

When you notice the date change...but the message when clicked on is the same as the last...
WHICH DATE???!!
-
how do you know if youve been touched????? I checked my status.. it says the same thing... and it doesnt have any dates there except the one they recieved the Application Feb17
I read elsewhere that if the online date is still the same, then it hasn't been. Touched means that someone actually touched the form or updated your status online. So even if the status is the same, but online your status date has changed, officially you've been touched.
eeeeck. Someone please correct if I'm wrong.
I am sorryy... this may be stupid,... but which date exactly must change? there is only one date there.. my reciept date
