    juliekins,

How is it that you managed to live here for 5 years already? Did you have prior legal status before arriving on the K-1? And what caused you to leave in order to enter on the K-1 if you were already here legally? If your mother has been here for 5 years, on what basis (is she an LPR, a USC, and if she arrived on a K-1, did you accompany her) and has she already submitted an I-130 for you?

I was a student here for 5 years.. and yes my mom applied an i 130....she is married here...

However.. I had the Worst time at the Embassy..I really wish everyone all the luck going through Abu Dhabi..

THey were very strict about Affidavit of Support... and already handed me the blue 211g letter..when luckly i found them what they needed in my big pile of papers!...they told me to come and get my visa on wednesday!!! YEAY!! they cant change their mind can they??

I just bought a one way ticket!! will be leaving for Atlanta on Thursday morning!!!

THANKS GUYS SOOO MUCH FOR EVERYTHING :luv:

    hope POE goes smoothly....

    Julia :luv:

  4. Last concern ...

    I already mentioned it but....

on Affidavit of Support.. how is the co-sponser supposed to answer question 11?

Cuz she check the (Intend) box and wrote "Financial Assitance at $xxx per month for 2 years"

does she need to re do the I134 all over again???!?!?!!?!?!?

Yes, there can be no mistakes on the Affidavit of Support.

    You're welcome.

    thanks guys...

so whats the correct thing she is supposed to write there instead?

  5. 3) I just recieved the I 134 forms from fiance and co sponcer.... on question 11 fiance answer as N/A, but the co-sponcer answered that she will finance me for 2 years.... arent the sponcers supposed to be responsible for 10 years?

A co sponsor is responsible for 10 years, until you get citizenship or have worked 40 quarters in the USA. I know that once you do AOS stateside you will have to file a I-864 and this is the binding financial agreement that you will not be a burden to the USA taxpapers.

    Good luck on your interview.

    Mary

so the co-sponsor should have left question 11 blank? did she answer wrong? does she need to re do it? She put " financial assistance at xxx$ per month for 2 years..." was it wrong????

Please let me know if she needs to re do it :help:

  6. Engagement ring receipt. Engagement party pictures if you had one and so on...

You will also need to take plenty of evidence of relationship. Phone records, letters, emails, MSN convo's etc, airline ticket stubs if you have visited him...and so on.

:crying: I have a ring but I dont have a reciept...and we didnt have an engagement party!!!! oh my god.... i am scared.. I have plenty of proof of relationship since we ve been together for 6 years...but no proof of engagement :crying:

  7. They send the 157 to everyone.

I'm not sure I understand the "would my mom appllying for me during my fiance process be a problem at the interview?" question.

Ok, I just saw your other topic. Now the question in this topic makes a little sense.

No one here can tell you if it will or not. Were both of these filed in 2006? If your mother filed for you in August of 2006, AFTER you'd already filed the K1, then yes.....it COULD cause a problem. I don't know if it WILL, but it could. Multiple visa petitions to get you to the US *could* be taken as you wanting to be in the US more than wanting to immigrate for marriage.

Since your interview is in a week, I would just explain to them the reasons for the other application (whatever they are) and provide as much evidence for your relationship as possible.

Awwww... I am so worried now.... in my packet the ask me that i need proof of engagement.... what does that mean? I thought i needed proof that I know my fiance and that we have an ongoing relationship....how do you prove engagement...?

  8. Well....my interview is in a week...

and I have some questions I hope you guys will be able to help me out

    1) Question 18 on the DS157 form asks if I made any travel arrangements and if I did state them. So is it better to make travel arrangements before the interview or wait untill after... what would work better for the interviewer?

    2) Also in 156 form asked if anyone pettitoned for immigrant visa for you. My mom filed for an immigrant visa for me a couple of months ago...would that be a problem at interview?

    3) I just recieved the I 134 forms from fiance and co sponcer.... on question 11 fiance answer as N/A, but the co-sponcer answered that she will finance me for 2 years.... arent the sponcers supposed to be responsible for 10 years?

    4) My fiance doesnt make much money he is self employed and just got out of college..so the only thing he put on I134 is the sum of his life insurance... will that be a problem? the co sponcer make more than enough though...

ok I know this is alot..but please answer what you can

    thank you in advance!!! :help:(F)

  9. I am just got scared...

I was filing out the 156 form...and there was a question if anyone ever filed an immigrant pettition for you. My mom lives in the states and she filled for me one of those relatives visas i think in August... My fiance filled for me as you can see back in february... so will it be a problem for me since my mom filed for me at the same time as my fiance...will they question it???

    please help!!! :help:

  10. ok thanks guys..

I was really starting to worry..

cuz i saw people waiting for months and moths,,,,...

I am just freaking out about the interview...

I was denied a student visa twice last year... so now I am scared of these interviews..

  11. My interview is getting close...and i am starting to freak out...

It seems like about everyone having an interview in the middle east are getting placed on AR..WHY?

I am a Russian citizen... but i ve lived in Dubai United Arab Emirates for about 10 years.. and i am really scared they are going to put me on AR...

and looking from the Cheering thread there are only 2 people going through UAE and they are both on AR for months now... :crying::crying::crying:
