They did ask many questions and will let you all know about it soon.I wish everyone a successful interview, so you can be with your loved ones soon!!

  2. Hello guys..

I am done with my interview just before an hour and got approved.

Just wanted to add my review.

My I interview was at 7:30 AM and I reached there by 6:45.

They asked us lo line up at 7 and we go through all security check.

Than an indian officer took all my documents and asked me following questions.

    -who is calling you

    -where is he now

    - when did you married

-hhave you ever been to US or any other country

Than I waited for 45 mins and got interviewed by an american officer. I must say he was so good and greeted me with good morning and smile on face.

He asked me following questions. .

    -what does your husband do

    -with whom he is staying

-what does her mother and brother do

-where and what did I studied?

that's it than he said those three golden words.. YOU ARE APPROVED. he told me you are all set and will receive your passport in a week and you are good to travel after that!

Congratulations Diyap:) It gives us hope! Thank you for sharing your experience. Wishing you all the best in the US!!

  3. Paper clips are okay I think but I'm keeping my my documents in a file folder with many sections. All the documents are just in one folder but in different sections so it would be easy for me to carry that inside.

Well I have taken whatsapp chat of last one year as I don't have anychats before that..lol its almost 100 pages.

Well I don't think they ask for those things as they can be easily modify anyone can cCrestacreat fake one so easily. But we should keep it as everyone else is doing so.

I think solid piece of evidence is their boarding passes and pictures taken together.

I don't have many but like 50-70 pics of his two viists to india.

Thanks Diyap. I have my interview next week and I want to make sure that I am well prepared. I also don't have many informal pics since we didnt get the chance to travel together. Hopefully, what I have is enough :) thanks for the info and best of luck!

  4. Hope someone can answer my questions

I'm sending my documents to my hubby tomorrow

These are the documents I'm sending to my hubby

    * AOS (updated)

    * Tax transcript 2014

    * Employment Letter & Pay stubs

    * AOS (NVC already sent those docs to embassy)

    * tax transcripts 2013,2012,2011

    * Employment Letter & Pay stubs

I'm also sending i130 documents (copies only)

Should I send tax returns too or tax transcripts are fine?

Do I have to notarized any of my documents like passport, naturalization?

Please if i'm missing anything please let me know too..

On P4 they basically wants hubby's civil docs original and copies..

I know embassy didn't requires these documents..But I don't want to get ding on anything..

    Answers are appreciated..

Lets begin our HAPPY MONTH MAY :):goofy::goofy::goofy:

You almost sending everything ... Still check if you have any originals with you ... Like any boarding pass or any bill receipts .. And no you do not need to notarized anything

  5. Congratulations to those who got approved!:)

I was wondering if its ok to use paperclips for putting documents together?

Also, I use wassap to send messages to my wife, and I wanted to know how many pages are needed since we have over 300 pages of chats. Thanks in advance!

I'm also getting ready for my interview, which is next week. You do need the w2 and tax transcripts or form. I'm sure they would like to see evidence for bonafide marriage such as pics, emails, and chats. Best of Luck!

  7. Mrs thb - you never know. We got our cc in June 2014 based upon 2012, 2011, and 2010 tax returns. AOS was approved on April 15th. CC was June 6th. I took 2013 tax returns to my spouse's interview, and they wouldn't even take them.

I think a lot depends upon your Embassy/Consulate and how far above the poverty line your sponsor is.

    Good luck!

    Sukie in NY

Sukie, How come they didnt take the 2013 tax returns? I will have the 2014 tax return copies with me at the interview, and the last three years as well. Thanks!

  8. I haven't posted a lot here in the different threads but I would like to share a few things:

#1 After 14 and 1/2 months of waiting, my husband's visa is ready to be issued as of this morning at the Abu Dhabi Embassy. We were in Administrative Processing for 2 and 1/2 months. My husband interviewed at the end of January. We feel so thankful, blessed and ready for the next part of the journey together soon. We owe so much to this site- not one RFE, checklist or document was missing thanks to the guides, experts and a lot of reading and rereading here.

#2 I have used this website EXTENSIVELY since months before we started the process and I can only say: Thank you from the bottom of my heart to all who maintain the site and monitor all of the threads. Especially DWheels... you have been there through every high and low since my husband's case was at NVC. From getting our case initially approved at the NVC, en route to the Abu Dhabi Embassy, to the interview and afterwards. I personally hit a very low place when we went into Administrative Processing and can only say that it was DWheels who at one point gave me advice to stay strong that really got me through a very dark time and encouraged to have faith. God bless you, DWheels. You have done a beautiful job maintaining this thread.

#3 For everyone who is still waiting at any point in this process, I have found the following to be so helpful in this process:

    • Read and reread the guides and processes on this site
    • Fill out your timeline regularly- this is so helpful to other members
    • Don't be afraid to reach out to your senator's office to inquire about your case at the embassy level

DWheels, I will stand with you in prayer for P4 letters to come quickly and soon. Be encouraged!

Congratulations :) If you dont mind sharing, why was your case in AP. Thanks!

  9. We are pleased that my wife's interview was successful and her visa was approved today. We arrived at the U.S. embassy in New Delhi 30 mins earlier than interview appt time. My wife gave all papers based on the interview instructions and fingerprints were scanned.

The interview officer asked my spouse some questions:

    1) who is the petitioner? (My husband xxxxxxx)

    2) where does he live? (Answer)

    3) what is his job position? (Answer)

    4) how did you and your husband meet? (Answer)

    5) was it love marriage or arranged marriage? (It was love marriage)

    6) when did you and your husband get married? Where? (Answer)

    7) how many people attended your wedding? Did your family and relatives attend (Answer and yes, respectively)

    8) after marriage, did he visit you? (Yes, twice)

    9) did you communicate often? (Yes, email, skype, phone, and social media chat- show chat transcript)

    10) do you have wedding photos? Can I see them? (Answer and show photo album.

Then officer smiled and said, "Congratulations! You have been approved!" And instructed to pay fees after visa is issued and before departing to the U.S. We exited the U.S. embassy with big smile face! The interview lasted 15 mins. Total time including standing outside the embassy and sitting inside the embassy was almost 2 1/2 hours. We will pick up the passport in few days. Thanks to dwheels and other VJ admins. We are looking forward to traveling to the U.S. soon!

Congratulations! So exciting!! Thank You for posting your wife's experience :)

  10. the only things we were asked to bring to the interview in the letter was the medical reports, passport, 2 photos, copies of civil docs and that was the only things they took. they returned all the originals that we had sent to NVC. my husband was asked about 15-20 questions it was quiet intense and intimadating the way they ask you questions. the lady started with how we met, how long we talked before we got married, how did we communicate and at what point did we involve our parents. she also asked things like if mine and his parents used to talk to each other when we were not present when they got involved. he was asked if i went back to india to see him after the wedding (which i had on his birthday to surprise him). then she asked if he had and picture which we had tons of. she looked at pictures from our honeymoon and from the second visit and asked where different pics were taken. she did not request to see our wedding photobook or text msges or call log or the 2014 tax returns. all together it took him about 2hrs in the embassy our interview was at 10 and he was done by 12

Congratulations! I'm sure your both relieved that this process is finally over:) I have my interview next month in Delhi and it seems like they asking many questions regarding the relationship and want to see informal pics. I'm surprised that they did not look at the wedding photobook or messages. Thanks so much for letting us know about your husbands experience.

  11. Deep bains, what did your interview letter say? If you needed a new I-864, the letter would tell you that. Most of the time, since we're so close to the April 15th tax deadlines, they will only want a copy of your return (AND W-2 and 1099s!!!!).

You can always fill out a new I-864 and have it in your folder in case they ask for it - but usually they are pretty specific in the letter.

    Best of luck!

    Sukie in NY

Sukie, My interview letter did not say anything about a new I-864, but it did say to bring most recent federal income tax return. I will have the 2014 W-2 along with the last three years. Also, for financial evidence it has a Y- meaning the NVC sent this form or document to the consulate. I appreciate the advice:)
