Trust me , if your boyfriend goes to the US consulate for a visitor visa interview with an affidavit of Support from you,( which as I said before is not required)  it was be a big red flag that he has no ties to his home country and his visa application will be denied.  

They are not lying,  vistors' visas are based on the applicants'merit.  The applicant has to show proof of ties to there home country.  You might be confusing a B1/B2 with a K1 visa .

don't mean to sound unkind, but I have read you other post about trying to get back in the US after being deported,  you tried to get a b2 visa using a lawyer and was turned down ,   You are sounding a bit desperate trying to set foot on US soil.  YOu don't have to intransit through the US to get to Costa Rica, there is always Panama.

When you log back into the ceac website Click on the the Word "completed" under the column that says IV application and it will lead you back to the ds260 , and you will be able to print the confirmation page, as proof that you have submitted the ds 260.

You can log in the ceac website and reprint the confirmation page . You can also review your ds260. And reprint the confirmation page with barcode. You should also check your email to see if ceac website sent you a confirmation on the day you completed the DS260. If you can print the confirmation page, I would sent it back to NVC with checklist that they sent you . This will be proof that you have already completed and submitted the DS260

Just found out my step-daughters case was completed by NVC. I was told that now they just have to wait for the Embassy in Kingston to let them know what dates they have available for interviews. After looking at this site I am realizing that it may be a 2 - 3 delay appointment date. We wanted to be able to have her here by December to start school in January(maybe even Christmas ). Is there a way to convince them to expedite her case due to school start dates?

What is your step-daughter's priority date? Even though her case is completed she will still have to wait for her priority date to become current before she can get an interview

I have a brief question about my situation regarding the medical. My fiancé and I have received the NOA2 √ in late June. That provides me with my Alien Registration Number √. I have already scheduled my medical for next week, without an approved interview appointment! Should I reschedule the medical? Because I just heard in a video on youtube (what a source) that you need to bring the approval from the embassy to the medical appointment. On the other hand, the medical will be valid and can be scheduled half a year prior to the interview. I'm confused. Any advise? Any opinion? Any experiences? Any love?

In my country I had to take email from the embassy that shows I have an appointment date for interview to the medical . They would not do the medical without the appointment notice from the embassy.

Does she qualify for CSPA. The case was complete without her name so I called NVC and they put it under CSPA review. How long does it take for CSPA review by NVC?

Is your dad who is filing for you? I guess not , so the birth certificate with your mom name alone on will do.

Maybe they only want to see the parent name who is filing for you on it , so if it is your mom who is filing for you her name would be on the certificate and that should do for the NVC.

is that what he told the CO and CBP when he got his visa and was admitted to the US, that he planned to get married and stay? Somehow, I doubt that's what he said....but if this happens, that action will just make it even tougher for Jamaicans to get tourist visas in the future to visit 'friends.'

I am so thankful to God I finally got an interview date for March 8.

Can anyone give me an idea of the kind of interview qusetions that they ask for visas where a sister is filing for her sister?

1st Question Who is filing for you?

2. Where does your sister work and Live?

3. who filed for your sister and how long has she been in the states

3.If you had a visitors visa before , they might ask when you visit the states do you stay with her.

4>. Is your sister married ? what kind of work her husband does.

5. How many people lives with your sister

that is basic question they ask.

However, it is our understanding that we must take an "appointment letter" that comes with packet 4 to both the medical as well as the interview.

We have never received anything from the Embassy.

We have all the required documentation though, with the exception of the appointment letter. The medial personnel stated that we must bring that to the interview, and of course the Embassy needs it as well.

We have the DS-160 confirmation as well as appointment confirmation (it was made online).

Do we really need anything else? Or do we need that physical form?

They refuse to speak with us over the phone, and insist we email, for which I normally receive no response.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

The interview letter is sent the NVC not the local embassy , how did you get the interview date? if you got it in the form of an email with an attachment , that is the the P4 or interview letter. Print that and take it to the medical. the embassy here does not send you anything it all comes from the nvc.

How long does it take for the scheduling of an interview at the Jamaican consulate for a US citizen bringing her sister to the States

My priority date is October 2002 and the case was completed at NVC December 2015

If your case was completed in December 2015 and you got confirmation that it is completed there is a possibility you will will get an interview date for about March or April. You should soon get the that email with the date because I have found that around the time the new visa bulletin for the month is due to be release interviews schedules are also release . you can also call the NVC on the day the visa bulletin is released , which would be around Feb 8 - 10 and ask them about your interview dates and they would tell you if you got a date . Good luck

OMG just checked the website and my son's visa along with his sister has been issued. I checked this morning and we were still in Administrative Processing and the case wasn't updated since Friday. The CO was true to his word. How do I know if DHL has it? They are to deliver them to my office. OMG I can't believe this.

Home address or dhl head office which is faster the get back passport

If you live in Kingston it is best you pick it up because you have to pay extra for home delivery
