  1. I just checked mine too and it has the same message. I guess it means that it was checked by immigration and returned to your local SS office.

I applied for mine November 10th, it's been already 3 weeks since I applied. They say it could take up to 4 weeks. I hope it doesn't take more time.

    Did you get yours already?

Hello military-wife. Nope, still nothing. It will be the 4th week tomorrow. Hubby said that we will go to the office probably next week and follow up on it. Like you, I already have my green card in hand. How about you? Are you gonna wait til the 4th week? I'm a bit worried as I have read a topic in VJ similar to ours and they waited for 3 months with no news. ? I hope it wont come to that though.

  2. Hello everyone. We applied for my SS number last Nov. 4 but whenever I go to SAVE case check, I still get the same status. I attached a photo of it below. The rep in the SS office told me that I will get a mail from them if I'm eligible for SS number issuance probably 3 weeks after but it will be a month next week and still nothing from them. I hope you guys can help me out if this is in standard processing time and what we must do next if it isn't. Thank you in advance.

  3. Hello again. So we went to the SS office today and the lady there told us that she can't find my name in the system. The process might take a month or so because it still needs to be verified. ? Have anyone of you experienced this? Is there a possibility that my papers might be 'lost' or something? ?

  4. OK. Well for now you are good, you have the I-551 stamp in your passport, that is LPR status for a year. I suggest making contact with USCIS at 60 days if your green card hasn't arrived.

Ok Hank. Is emailing them the only way we can follow up about the green card?

  5. I am not sure how long the e-mail will take

there is a number I call because i forgot my password for elis log in. but i will have to research for the number again. Also I do not know if that number will be of help to you or not.

One thing in case you did not know your cr-1 visa is a temporary greencard. It is good for a year or untill your GC arrives

If you want to work and are waiting for the gc to do that, you do not need to wait, as long as you have the SS card, you can use the visa for the gc for now

Okay j&ana. Im just scared coz I've read here in VJ that some people who go through LAX as their POE experienced problems with their green card, that when they try and ask what's taking it so long, USCIS will tell them to contact the CBP office in LAX coz their file wasn't sent to them yet. I just hope we won't have the same fate. ?

Btw, where is your wife's POE?

  6. yes you can go to the local ss office to get the ss card. if it has not arrive in the mail.

For the green card if you go to the elis website there is a link on how to contact them.

It took about 10 days for my wife ss card to arrive and about 5 weeks for the green card

    Thanks alot j&ana ?

The 45 days for the green card is not due yet so we will just wait it out. Do you think they will reply soon if we email them? Or is there any way we'll be able to speak to someone directly?

  7. Hello everyone. I need help again. ? I arrived in the US, POE: LAX, Sept 29th and up to this day, no SS card arrived in the mail. So would it be okay if we go to the nearest SS office in our place? And with regards to the green card, when can I start worrying and who do we call to ask about it? Your help is greatly appreciated, thank you VJ family. ?

  8. My husband and I filed in early August sending the i-130. After that was received we filed the i-129 to take a shot at the k3. We checked our status online for the i-129 and it doesn't say "received" like we expected, but instead says "your document was mailed" and that if we don't receive it by Oct 17 we should call.

What document? I'm confused. I thought it would probably just get stuck to the i-130 and say "received" until the i-130 is approved and the i-129 is scrapped.

    Anyone know what's going on?

    Thanks!

Helo Jenvds. Im just curious, what does your i130 status say?

  9. So what is the PDOS? Do i need that before leaving the ph? How about the payment for my green card? Thank you

Well, PDOS is equivalent to the CFO so that's all you need. You can pay ELIS directly once you get your visa packet.

If you attended the Seminar then thats it:) Bring the Certificate with you, no fees collected.. I got mine @ NAIA 3..

Hi Sherryll, did you already get your SSN? ☺️
