my parents arrived yesterday using immigrant visa, they were told that their greencard wi ll arrive 2 to 3 months. But they can have temporary thing for 3 months. Is it the i-94 they are saying? my parents said they did not get i-94.I heard we are suppose to get it online. can somebody give me a guide?

My parents just had their first day of medical today in saint lukes manila Philippines. When my mother was examined, the doctor seen the stitches on my mothers womb, and asked about it, my mother explained that 20 years ago she had a miscarriage and the baby died in her belly for few days already and her doctor told her that its better to removed her entire ovary coz it got infected and it might cause a cancer in the future, so they decided to have her ovary removed. Now, the doctor today on their medical was not convinced of what my mother said, the doctor said that she never heard that the doctor would advice the patient to have the ovary removed unless its internal bleeding or cancer. And so the doctor said that it is all up to the consul of how they are going to interpret it. Now im confuse and worried if it is going to affect their visa application. Tomorrow we will get the result. Hopefully everything will be alright, but im still worried about what she said that it is all up the consul, its like she is saying that my mother lied to her. Any situation same as this? i appreciate your input.

i paid the 120$ and the 325$ each for my parents at the NVC, I dont know what else that i have to pay so not sure if have more fees to pay at embassy.

The form from USCIS website is always updated. Don't worry about the form expiration, if you got it from USCIS then it should be good. Are you using just your own income? Are you petitioning just one person? If yes for both, I would use I-864EZ form. Less things to fill up, less mess up.

Not sure why you filed tax rather late, I would explain that to NVC in a written statement. e.g. "Subject: Reason for Late Tax Return Filing for 2014"

I would send a copy of Form 1040 or 1040A as well as W-2 for 2014. Not sure if a transcript will be available yet since you just filed today.

I think that should be enough.

still waiting for the update. hopefully next week... I actually sent 2 sets of aos forms coz the first one that i sent had a mistake (caught it myself) and so i sent 2nd one. It was more confusing for me coz im petitioning both my parents. They will return the papers and have the mistake part corrected so im hoping they will disregard the papers that has mistakes.

I actually sent aos forms twice because of confusion, some people said the first part the address has to be for petitioner but then some says for immigrant;, so to make sure i filled out 2 forms of 1st page, one for immigrant thw other 1 is for petitioner. My scan date is march 24 so im hoping i will hear from them next week. About the IV fee showing pay now i also had that issue before, i called nvc and told them that i wanted to pay the iv fee but i was having problem with the website, the person on the phone said that they are updating my ds 261 and iv fee will be available in 7 days but then the next day the iv fee bill was available to pay

did you already sent the petition? maybe you can start the processing for petition while waiting for the corrected bc. I already petitioned my parents and the uscis approved them and our case is now at the NVC. And last week, they just went to get my bc corrected and was told that it will be done for abiut 2 to 3 months

Hello, i just want to ask how did your petition go? i have about the same my problem, my mothers name is incorrect on their marriage certificate.

i petitioned my parents and got approved and the case is currently in NVC. Now my problem is, in their marriage certificate, my mothers first name has an error, her name is Mxxxx Cxxxx but in my birth certificate, passport, and her birth certificate is only Cxxxx. All documents have Cxxxx except for their marriage certificate, are we going to have problem with that in NVC and in the interview at the embassy?

my second question is, on my birth certificate, my mothers middle name when she was single was mispelled, her middle name was Sanches but it suppose to be Sanchez coz in her birth certicate is Sanchez, is it going to matter also even if it was her middle name when she was single?

Hello, we have the same problem, my mothers middle name on my birth certificate when he was single has a spelling error too. I petitioned her already and got approved, and our case is already in NVC, I just noticed all these errors when the case was already sent in NVC. Now im asking them to correct my birth certificates error which is her middle name when she was single.

how long did it take for you to get the corrected papers?
