    My citizenship interview was today. I passed, YAY!!!!

    Interview was scheduled to 9am, I got there at 8:45am, I was the only one there, USCIS Chicago is closed on Fridays, so it was pretty quick, interview itself took only 15 mins...

    He asked for my Green Card, Passports, verified my address and some other information... and then he started the civil test. Questions was:

     

    - We select a US Representative for how many years? 2 years

    - We select a US Senator for how many years? 6 years

    - What are 2 rights of everyone living in the United States? Freedom of Speech and Freedom of Religion

    - Who is the Father of Our Country? George Washington

    - What did Susan B Anthony do? Fought for women's right

    - What do we call the first then amendments to the Constitution? Bill of Rights

     

    Then he asked to read a question for the English Read test (How many US Senators do we have?),  then he asked me to write a sentence for the English Written test (We have one hundred senators). After that he asked all those weird questions about terrorism, criminal charges, etc... And that was it, he gave me a letter saying that I passed, and told me to wait for the Oath Ceremony date.

     

    Thank god this whole process is almost done, now just need the ceremony. Good luck to everyone :)

    Hey,

     

    My interview got re-scheduled, It was first canceled because USCIS didn't transfer my I-751 to local office (in Chicago), but now my I-751 was already approved, and I have already got my green card...

    I got a mail today with the date of my new interview (Aug 9) and with the name of the officer that I'm gonna be interviewed... The letter was very different of any letter from USCIS, with was sent direct by the Chicago local office...

     

    I let you guys know how was my interview...

In today's computer notification generated organisations wouldn't you think that Nebraska would have had a notification attached to your file saying you have been scheduled your N-400 interview and contacted Chicago prior to your interview.     Exactly, is not that hard to have a unified system... I am very mad, but nothing that I can do, now just have to wait...

    Unfortunately, I got a call this morning from USCIS local office and my interview got canceled, because they didn't have my I-751 papers at the local office, so they said they gonna wait to Nebraska office to send to Chicago to do the interview... So, now I'm gonna have to wait to them to re-schedule...

    I attached my 18 months I-751 Extension Letter but not the notice.

I assume it means they sent it to my N-400 officer so he can review and make a decision. Also there is no update on my N-400 application. it still says "Interview Was Scheduled" so I think he cannot approve my N-400 until he finalize my I-751. Good luck with you.     Gotcha, I hope yours is approved soon... My interview will be in a couple of weeks, I let you know what happen...

    My I-751 has been approved before I had my N400 interview so it went smooth. I have heard that if you have N400 interview when I-751 is still pending, they will try to send you home, be sure to bring your spouse with you just in case they want to conduct a combo (I-751 and N400) interview. They cannot conduct N400 while I-751 is still pending, they either have to approve it first then move on to the N400 or do it all at the same time. My I-751 was approved on Feb 26, 2019.

    Yes, I understand that, and my spouse is going with me for my interview...
    I just asked GirlPower how her situation is going because she had her N-400 interview but officer didn't have her I-751 at the local office... This is why I asked if she had any update on her I-751.

    How is your situation? Did you have any update on your I-751 yet?
    I saw that you had your N-400 approved but not your I-751 yet, since it wasn't in the local office.
    Just asking because I want to know what to expect if the same situation happen to me.

    My case was transferred to a new office twice in the last 2 days, I think that maybe is a bug on their website, coz I had zero updates for one year, and now 4 update changes in the status of my case... I think that is probably a bug because the messages are similar by the wording is not the same... But at least is some movement, I think that my case is in Chicago, because I filled my N-400 last month and I've already did my biometrics, hope get a letter with interview appointment soon...

    That's awesome, at least looks like things are moving... My I-751 (ROC) case was moved to local office yesterday, so I hope I have some movement on my N-400 case soon and have both interviews together. Congrats.

    My case got updated as well, transferred to a new office, it is the first movement since my case was received, that's good, things are moving, at least...
