  1. Coloring, ha, ha you just made my day ? That is really funny.

Hehehe. I honestly cant remember the last time i did this. Maybe 2 decades ago. Its fun to do it again. And I should be better at it compared to when i was a kid. Hahahahaha! I saw some posts on facebook abot coloring books for adults, intricate patterns and designs. When i get a chance to see those coloring books in target i'll post a photo. :)

  2. Hehehe. For me, not being in a schedule or deadline or meetings with clients or just working is a breath of fresh air. I worked constantly (no breaks, just a week or two vacay once in a while) for 13 years before now. So am catching up on seasons i missed on series i was watching, i got to finish 3 huge puzzles, learn and practice more about make up, baking, cooking. Read new books. Got to play clash of clans. Hahaha!

Maybe after i finish this puzzle am working on right now i'll try coloring books. Hahahaha! :)

  3. I hope so bad that something is going to change soon on my status :clock:

I just want to work. Obviously I know I have to wait for my interview appointment until maybe January or February.

The fact that I have to stay at home and have to wait just drives me crazy. I'm not made to be a housewife :content:

But I am glad to hear that other ppl her going through the same and feel the same about the whole process.

My sentiments exactly. But maybe its time to explore the city youre in. Hehe. I just recently got the courage to take a bus for a long overdue city exploration and its awesome. :) you just need to find something to do aside from watching tv. Hahahaha!

  4. Hello All

I'm waiting that I (at least) get approved on my EAD or AP. I haven't heard anything since my biometric appointment.

    08/26: I've sent in my papers (AOS+EAD+AP)

    09/02: NOA 1 (for I-485, I-130, I-765, I-131)

    09/22: USCIS received my RFE

    09/29: Biometric Appointment

and since then.... nothing. It's a little frustrating but I have patience.

My VJ timeline says "Based on timeline data, your EAD may be adjudicated between November 2, 2015 and November 6, 2015" and "Based on timeline data, your AP may be adjudicated between November 1, 2015 and November 3, 2015".

I totally understand that this timeline is no guarantee. Still some ppl get approved way after I sent in my papers and that is even more frustrating because it gives me the feeling that something is wrong with my papers

However, I am very thankful for VJ and so many positive ppl here. At the end we all go through the same here and the support is very helpful.

I just hope to hear soon from USCIS

I believe that they are still working on people who got their NOA towards the end of august so you may need to wait a week or two more... :) i may have to wait a month more before i hear anything. HoPefully. Hahaha

  5. He seems to be attempting to re-create his past relationship.

As of the last episode Nikki had only been in the USA 4 days. Too soon to determine if she's lazy. She cannot work until she obains EAD card. She may end up in school. Who knows to early yet.

    "rub" ewwww LOL

It does seem that way, he mentioned that his ex wife was also from the same town right? They may know each other if they are from the same town. Yikes!

Lmao, my English obviously isn't that great haha.

I do know what I wanted to do when I was 19 tho, getting married with some random dude ain't one LOL.

Yeah the age difference is troubling. I really do hope that she does love him and she is not just with him for a gc...

  6. Yes, normal, because mine hasn't changed since payment for fingerprint was received. A waiting game ;). So I noticed the EAD/AP are about to enter into September (visajourney.com timeline). I think we will all start hearing something soon for those still waiting. To those who already have appointments for AOS. Congrats to all of you, I hope you receive your green cards soon. For me it will be a while, so I am just happy to be with my wife...at least she is here with me :).

Yeah the wait for this part of the process is easier because we are already with our spouse. :)

  7. I don't really think a wife who doesn't work or clean or go to school would necessary be a bad wife, you know, sometimes people just love each other.

But in this case, it disgusts me because the age difference (sorry if I offended any couple with big age gap), and also the dude still has pics of his ex wife, and etc, it's just like he wants to be, and will be young again as long as his tastes don't change, on clothe, car, and you know, woman.

Sad part is that I don't even think he has that much money, just a old guy who think he's not done with the romance and want to rub the cradle one more time.

Oh you misunderstood my point... i was saying that she is a bad representation of a filipina wife and its very disappointing and well am a little bit embarrassed of what they are airing on tv.. (Maybe they just highlighted and showed the part where the husband did everything and she did nothing. And they just showed on air the part where she said she doesnt have any plans at all when she was asked what she wants to do here in the us. They just aired the part where she's being lazy.)

Filipinas, because of the culture, are taught to do house chores and to manage the household. To look after her husband, that you could expect a clean place, great meals everyday (including breakfast) ect.. i am not saying that we are taught to be subservient, we are taught that household stuff is our responsibility. Lol my first day here in the us, i was already cooking breakfast and making coffee...

  8. Hello Everyone!

My husband and I filed September 18th and have an online NOA date of Sept. 24th. Our biometrics appointment was on Oct 20th, but no word since.

I have a quick question, our Bio-appointment was not updated on the case tracking page all that is said is that they recieved the payment but no word on the status of the bio is this normal?

    thank you in advance!

Looks like its normal. Mine is the same way... no updates since the first update lol.

  9. The young chick from the Philippines, def GC seeker imo

I was just telling my husband how disappointing this filipina girl is. She's just a lazy teenager who doesn't have to work or go to school because grandpa, wooops no, daddy, nope, hubby (cringes) got a business and got a whole lot of money.

It doesn't matter if she's still coping up with the jet lag and sleeps in, he cooks the breakfast and, come on, you see him doing chores and she just sits there doing nothing, such a lazy little girl. And then he rewards her with a car because she's bored hahahahaha! (Let's skip the part that he is weird, lol getting exact same car he gave to his ex wife).

Such a bad example for a filipina wife...

(I find the train whistle funny though, i'd definitely use that to wake up my husband just to annoy him hahahaha!)

  10. I gotta say, I'm pretty annoyed that our panel physician didn't administer all the vaccinations. Now that I'm looking at what we need to do, it's just aggravating, only if it's just from a customer service perspective. No one asked for a "Blanket Waiver". No one asked to not get the vaccines. So now I need to decide if we should get the vaccines at our family doctor (which we'll probably do) and take the record to a civil surgeon, or just go to a civil surgeon and get them done to get that paper.

Thankfully, the civil surgeon near us accepts insurance, but we will get another vaccine that is not required on there too, so we will need to return for a booster.

I just needed to vent a little. We are in a really good situation, so I'm grateful for that. This whole time we had been talking about enjoying our first week together at home peacefully and lovie dovie. But after a Canadian trip I took earlier last month, I inadvertently took all my leave at work. The positive thing is that I have a schedule that will let me be at home the first week, but I will need to work from home on Friday. Then we still need to:

    • pay for the marriage license,
    • introduce him to family,
    • do the JOP ceremony,
    • get that certificate,
    • get SSN,
    • add him to accounts,
    • get the health insurance started,
    • sign a new lease,
    • see about registering him in college,
    • getting service work done to the cars,
    • and anything else crazy that comes up

Not necessarily in that order. Thanks, panel physician, for adding to our list. At least I can see what can wait for next month and which need to get done this November. I have read a few AOS posts that said they sent the bare minimum for their petitions and they still got an interview waiver, so getting this stuff for the AOS petition might not be so crucial. Some of it can wait.

Oh geez am sorry about the vaccines... and thats a long list... but i think you'll be able to finish it within 90 days :)

  11. My fiance sent me a picture of the vaccination worksheet he got back from the embassy. They kept his copy. For some reason, the clinic marked that he received the polio vaccine only, but then marked that he received ALL the required vaccines. Great. Now it seems we need to wait for my insurance to cover him (which will require an SSN) and then get the vaccination record transcribed by a civil surgeon.

Oh well, just another step in the process. At least we are going to be together as we do these steps!

I believe you dont need to have insurance to have a transcription of the shots he got... unless he needs the shots which he can get from the cs as well...

  12. Hi VJ,

I applied for my social security number on the 10th of September. I was told i will receive it in four weeks. After two weeks a letter came informing me that i have applied for SSC and i should be receiving it in two weeks. Three week passed without any card in my mail. I went to the social security office and the lady told me that, they sent it to my mail but maybe my mail does not have my name that is why it was not delivered so she reapplied for another card. I got a mail today telling me that my I-94 and immigration status will expire in November so they can not issue the SSC unless i bring prove that it is not expiring soon. Has anyone experienced this kind of issue? I applied for my 1-485 i September and my EAD on the 12 of October that means i won't get anything than till probably January. Does this process take that long. Also am travelling to Florida in November but my K1 visa expires a week before i travel. Will i have an issue with CBP?

I do believe that as long as you dont travel out of the country youre good. To be on the safe side, have a copy of your noa just in case they ask. I am not sure about ss, i do know that they dont issue cards if your i94 is only 14 days or less valid. If thats the case, you have to wait for your ead / gc before you can follow up on ss...

  13. thespoons,

I got a question, I've been calling around for Civil Surgeon and most of all that needs vaccinations cost around $230 average and if it just to transcribe it is around $60. How come you were just able to transcribe from DS-3025 to I-693 ? They said they require us to have a flu shot too. You didn't undergo any vaccines?

Oh. I didnt get any shots at all just a transcription... I believe they are just telling you to get a flu shot because they assume that you are just about to submit the aos packet... since you got approved for the ead already, why dont you wait for the interview first and the io will tell you if you need a new i693/vaccines sheet or not anyway. This way it will save you some money if they wont require you submit a new one... :) just make sure you have your 3025 copy with you during the interview.

  14. So my fiancé and I are trying to figure out what the next steps are. I know that all instructions are being sent to him but what about my medical exam? Is there a document on the USCIS website that i have to print or does everything go to him? Also, did you guys have to get an x-Ray, and was it done by your private doctor or dis you have to go somewhere else? Thanks! :)

Processes after getting your case# are different for each country (that includes the medical). You should probably hop in the regional forums and find a post about it which pertains to your country's usem. And congrats again!

  15. We just got this as well:

As of October 26, 2015, we are ready to schedule your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status, Receipt Number ....., for an interview. We will schedule your interview and send you a notice. Please follow any instructions in the notice. If you move, go towww.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

Yay! Anytime now, your ead will follow. Wow they are fast nowadays. Congrats!

  16. Hello,

Spoons is right, I will just go find a CS and transcribed the DS-3025 to I-693 for the peace of mind. I don't wanna get any RFE's on the interview and I don't know even if the DS-3025 is complete.

Hmm i wonder why they included the complete medical docs in the requirements list you got.. unless that list is a template that they just send out to all applicants.

We paid a CS $50 for the vaccines to be transcribed. I do believe that $50 is worth it for my peace of mind though hehe Hopefully you'll find a cheaper CS down there. :)
