Quick question. Do I need to scan and include a copy of the bar code sheet that we got from NVC in my AOS and IV emails?

When I emailed my documents I didn't include barcodes but I made sure the case number was on every email I sent ... But if you want to you can the bar code is for actual mail.

Thank you!! It's so hot lol The temperature difference is like greater than Toronto. It's 65F then 95F. We are still trying to get everything set up in the apartment. Furniture and stuff!! But very glad to be home at last.

And thank you for letting me know. We haven't gotten around to DMV yet. We will do so later this week. How long does it take to do the road test? Did you get yours done yet?

Mr's SSN came in the mail less than 2 weeks after POE. So hopefully they are still on track with those and you won't have to go to your local office.

And the green card came a month after we paid the ELIS fee. We didn't do that in Canada, we kind of forgot about it and paid it once we got here. But if you've already paid it then your card should come soon!

congrats sammyann - can i just ask when your visa went into final processing how long before visa was in hand?

It takes 5 days from when it says issued to when loomis sends your email to pick up the visa..

Mine was issued on the 29 june

My interview was june 10 and I got my visa yesterday

Oh ok ....I was there the same time didn't leave until after 10, the non immigrant section was a big line up....

I was number 10 ... They weren't calling it in order either, was she a k1 visa

That's so cool ... I look at the site before I went for my interview but I didn't see anyone had their interview the same day... Would have nice if I had known she was there......

Still irritated that they say they only cleared the backlog for "non-immigrant" visas and nothing at all said about immigrant. It's so hard not to be frustrated with them. If they were through the backlog of immigrant visas I am sure mine would have been issued already.

Thanks Sammyann, I ve been calling the whole last week to to avail. I ll try again early morning and see what happens. On my NOA2 they clearly stated I should give 60days. Don't know if that's the case for most people though you mentioned it takes just 30days in principle.

Yea they say 60 but it usually takes 30 but with all that have happen and now with the back log you just have to be patient I know it hard but you got to think positive your case is closed it will move much faster the minute you get the interview date

CC May 5th, no news from NVC yet.....so sad.

I am so sorry I know how you feel but it's just wrong timming for you, because it usually take one month to get an interview date and because your case was closed so late in May and then the U.S. Consulate all went down on the 9 June.

So I am pretty sure you will get a date for July you can call the nvc because they know your date before get the actual P4 packet ..... Good luck good things are coming soon
