Does the Jacksonville field office perform same day swearing in ceremonies?
-
I too had the same occurrence with credit Karma. They requested I send in via snail mail 2 forms of ID, (social and D/L). After that I was able to gain access to my account which I had been building over 3 months. I had gotten a $300 secured visa from Wells Fargo, a $500 loan from a small town credit union and only been here for 5 months and my credit rating is already 640. Good luck

The NVC can't tell when an interview will be set because that's handled with the local embassy. I know there was a excel sheet/timeline of cc dates to interviews, from these, estimated upcoming interviews dates could be deduced. If any one knows where I could find this again it would be helpful
-
when did you get case complete and what is your pd
I already went through the process 5 months ago and my wait time was 3 months there about. Was asking for a friend.

Is the wait time for interview at the Jamaican embassy still approx 3 months from date of cc?

Hi Dubnew,

Whether she came on VWP or B2, she overstayed, no bid deal. Let them marry, have your son file for i130, i485, i765, i131 for her simultaneously with all relevant information espacially bonafide marriage and relationship. If everything goes well, she will get EAD within few months to be able to work legally and get conditional GC after several months.
Thanks Arken, much appreciated the detailed response

Thanks much for your advice. Now I know what their options are and will inform them both, and thanks to everyone else for their input.

Is she your daughter in law or not?
How long was the overstay?
Good luck
The overstay is 150 days
-
Ok thanks much for you help, it's appreciated.
-
I'm not sure, but will ask to confirm.. What are the pros and cons of either, if you don't mind
-
Thanks for your response. So the vwp is something she physically had to apply for or is it given automatically? Pardon my ignorance, but just want to point her/them in the right direction as I know this road can be very tedious and confusing.

They have been together for 4 years as my son live in the UK for a while, he is a U.S. Citizen, as to why she overstayed, I surmise ignorance to the law thinking it was easy to adjust her status
Is your son a citizen?
Is your son a citizen?
Yes he is a U.S. Citizen
You call her a daughter in law, but also a girlfriend- are they legally married?
Why did she overstay?
They are talking about marriage
They can get legally married, and then adjust her status.
How long has she overstayed for?

My sons girlfriend came to visit from the UK (UK citizen) and subsequently overstayed. What can she do, if anything, to legalize her stay here. Any advice is appreciated.

From what I've read, its production won't be triggered until u enter the US. Go over the the ELIS forum when you have a chance and read up a bit. Your most welcome
-
I also signed up the same day I received the visa and it instantly said optimized and I have not POE'd as yet. I do know or from following the ELIS forum I've read that production of the actual green card will not be initialized until we pay the fee OR POE, whichever is second
