ATTN of USPHS at POE IV DOCS IN CCD So yeah, that explains why she got a med check from US DOH. If there was nothing annotated probably your all clear. Hello, Sorry for the late reply, hopefully by now it got issued for your case (NateDog). JFK Port of entry last June 15,2025. Last week my mom got a letter from the Department of health of NY stating that she needs to appear for a medical check. Another chest x-ray since they were noted upon entry for a class B1 TB( negative result on sputum test but an anomaly from x-ray was noted by St.Lukes) Since no film was provided, she did the x ray free of charge by the state. I would guess everybody who does the sputum test in the Philippines would receive such letter, well depends on the state you live in if the DOH is strict enough to do that. Awaiting results on Aug 22, 2025.

May 5, 2025 My Mom received an email that the documents are ready for pickup. We opt to pick it up in the VAC since our town is close by. May 6, 2025 She was handed only with a passport with visa in it, no other envelope in her case. No other hand outs were given. This morning I received an email with more information about the USCIS Immigrant fee and other stuff to check like the Pre departure orientation seminar that is needed for her not to be stopped by Bureau of Immigration in the Philippines. I scheduled that yesterday( since my mom is 65 she is exempted to attend the seminar but is still required to go and register to get a digital certificate that she will get in her email. April 30, 2025 Visa Status Check: Issued ✌️✌️✌️ Yay! Will still wait for further instructions for pick up in VAC. It took 36 days for them to issue it after receiving the passport.

It has been more than a month now that US embassy Manila received the passport and medical report from St. Luke's, No update yet. I would suggest not going this route (proceed with interview date even without the medical result). I suggest having the interview rescheduled. So that during the interview everything would be complete and no 221g will be given as long as everything is complete.

Case last updated 15-Apr-2025 No good news yet. Made an inquiry to the embassy, they just said that all cases are being dealt with as they receive it in order. What a long queue they must have. It is going to be a month now this coming Friday since they got the passport. I was just thinking maybe the Holy week played a role for the delay.

My moms case is based in Manila US embassy, I would like to know how long do I get an update on the case after submission of the 221g due to pending medical from St. Lukes, for sure there are several cases like this since there are tons of people who are subjected for sputum test. My mom proceeded with the interview (Feb 11, 2025) even without the results of the test. Everything was good but since the result was not in she got a 221g due to pending medical. March 19 2025 we got an email from St. Lukes that the results were good and got forwarded to the US embassy. So my mom submitted the submission form together with her passport to the VAC (March 21 2025). Visa status check last update was March 25,2025. Any similar case and estimated time you got an answer will help. Thank you!

Since the beneficiary is living in the US maybe you can skip this question and this is not applicable to you.

Number one rule I found out on filling up the questions is to answer them in order and don't skip questions you have an answer to, because if you skip some, other type of questions will be generated on the following page. It's like the next set of questions depend on the questions applicable to you.
