Hello VJers,
Can somebody give me an insight. I have a situation came up. I am outside the US for a short trip and have my expired GC with the extension letter. in hand. In the mean time i saw an email from USCIS stating my i751 is approved and the new card is on the way. I am flying back to the US within a week and there is no way the new card will arrive and on my hand. My question is will the immigration officers at the port of entry let me thru with the expired gc and extension letter or will they ask for a new 10 year card?
What are your thaught on this. What should i do.
Thanks

Thank you guys for your valuable suggestions. So far i have not called police about the incident or anything. I just setup up my mind that nothing happened based for n 400 interview. Do i need to be concerned about anything else. Like answering questions when interviewer will ask me?

Hello VJers
I have a citizenship interview coming up based on marriage. I am fully prepared for my upcoming interview. One incident happened last week.
My wife's friend called a cops on us saying there is a domestic violence in my house. At around 10 in the evening the cops showed up in our door when we were about to go to bed saying that there is a complaint against you abusing wife. They asked my wife and she explained there is nothing going on we were about to go to bed as a normal sleep hours. So the cops satisfying that its a false claim and nothing was reported.
When i talked to my wife she said she hasn't been seeing her for couple of months and she is mad that she is not seeing her anymore.
After couple of days my wife came to know her friend she was jailed for a night.
Now i dont have to do anything with that, but my concern is as i am preparing for my interview do i need to get any kind of police report? As i stated earlier there was no report filed as the cops just asked us questions and they were satisfied with the answers and they left.
Please advise me if i need to do anything else.
appreciate it if you guys can guide me to the correct path

Hello Vjers
As i filed my taxes for last year and i owe tax to irs. I made a payment plan to pay the back taxes.
As i was reading on the irs website to request tax transcript it says the transcript will no be available until mid of May and i can order only after that.
I will be applying N400 by end of march based upon marriage.
I do have last 2 tax transcript and tax return for last year.
My question is, is that ok if i give tax return instead tax transcript for last year?
Also as i read the M476 guide to file N400.
It asks for Internal Revenue Service (IRS)-certified copies of the income tax forms that you both files for the past 3 year? How can i certify that if the first option is not available.
Thank you for your help
For the reference here is the IRS website

Hello VJers, Greetings
As i was collecting all the evidence for filing N400 based upon marriage (3 years rule), i read the guide which USCIS provided.
It says If you are applying for naturalization on the basis of marriage to a US citizen, send the following four item.
1.Evidence that your spouse has been a US citizen for last 3 years ( i have that)
2. Your current marriage certificate (i have that)
3. Proof of termination of all prior marriages of your spouse (divorce decree, annulment, or death certificate and
4. Documents referring to you and your spouse ( i have that)
Both of ours marriage is first marriage How can i prove that the no 3 proof does not apply to us.
And if it requires where do i go and get the proof.
The thing it confuse me is all other has or comment but this one has and so i feel if it is mandatory.
Please all answere will be appreciated.
Thank You

Thank you Dario2012 for your input.
Yes i remember it correctly the employer himself was looking for person to work ASAP. So he just hired me and i started working. After 2 weeks i receiver my paycheck and never bothered to even ask questions. Though he asked me my SS card and my driver's license at time of interview. After that never bothered to even talk to me. So was in dilemma if he literally forged my sign in i9.
As you said there is not much i can do right now. i do remember i quit that job back in 2012 and as your second point the employer can retain only for a year after the employment end. so i will go a head and apply N400 and answer truthfuly as far as i know.
If anything else i need to do please let me know.
Thank you

Hello there
I am about to file my N400 based on marriege under 3 years rule.
I have this question thats been haunting me. 3 or 4 years back when i was in f1 status i was in desperate to work i found work but the employer filled out everything including i9 and w2s. (I should have done myself.) Now in the n400 form it asks me to file last 5 years of employment and i have to put all the employer's info. I tried getting hold of that employer to know or get the i9 but the busisness been closed.
So my question is
1.what if the employer put me as a citizen in i9 form and how can i find that out?
2.Does the USCIS have my i9 copy?
3. How can i find out about my i9?
4. What will be the cosequences if the employer did put as a US citizen on i9?
These questions are haunting me. Please help to answer this question. Appreciate it.

Hello VJers
I have filed the ROC on 03/28/15 but havent received my biometrics appointment yet. What would be my next process?
Also one more question
I recently check the USCIS website and it says Immigration Relief Measures for Nepali Nationals due to recent earthquake which means expediting the processes.
I am from Nepal. Do you think they will expedite the processing if i call them under that or am i on the different processing path?
Suggestions are much appreciated.
Thank You

Hello all
thank you all for reply from last post.
as my filling window opens this month. I m starting to collect evidences. I know i should have done earlier but life just went on and here i am at the last minute.
I tried to collect the evidences after my gc. And i see i dont have anything to show for last year's evidence. i do have joint bank statements, tax return and joint car insurance which starts in oct 2013. But beside that i dont have much to show for that year. But for 2014 i do have joint car title, fitness membership, tax return, bank statement, joint car insurance.
Our bills are in seperate names but in same address. Since i am a student and her being a student we worked different odd jobs. Couldnt get insurance or any evidence which stated in other posts.
What other evidences do u think i should put tp make my case strong?
Your suggestion much appreciated.
Thank you

Hello All
I have a quick question regarding filling up the form i - 751 ( removing conditions).
My window opens next month and i am trying to collect all the evidences and forms to send it on time. Well on Part 4 it ask about children information. I have a step kid and we do claim her name in our taxes when we file married filing jointly. Do i have to put her name in the form part 4? FYI She is a US citizen.
I do remember 2 years back we did not put her name in the form while filing i -485.
Once again thank you all for your help.
