  1. I got an email from Jim a couple of weeks ago and he said he was going to Laughlin the first of June so maybe we will hear from him when he gets back. Or maybe he will hit the jackpot and we won't hear from him ever again

  2. In the upper right corner of the page there is a map link. You should be able to see those who have used this link to see who lives where. I just stumbled onto it a few days ago and like it.

  3. Would be a shame if she had her own mind once coming/getting to the states.

Does Dr. J Stand for JACKASS?

INDEPENDENT FEMINIST" woman that alot of American women have become?? I just don't want that negative influence to come into my wife's mind.:lol::lol::lol:

MAN....I think EVERYONE here misunderstood me. Sounds like mostly women responding...and if so then I guess what I thought was right......BUT........I was only asking if people have wives that are the same when they met as they are now. MOST American men know how ALOT of AMERICAN women are........don't even have to go into explaining that #######. I guess the men scared to speak up..........Guess I got my answer. Some of us went to other countries to find wives........now ask yourself why bring a woman from another country into the United States if there are SOOO MANY GOOD WOMEN HERE??????

    My goodness...not even 5 mins after I posted......get HATE MAIL......no one understands anymore...... :(

One year later, my wife is still who I married. Pay no heed to the angry chicas on this thread, there's been a lot of hostility on this board lately. Good luck.

    Isn't that the truth!

  4. I sent jasman a PM about how to get ahold of the embassy and he answered me back this morning so maybe that is why he was on. He said he is going to stay away for a while, I guess some folks didn't like the way he was posting or something. Anyway, he did give me his email address for future reference. He has been so helpful for Joy and I with our Manila journey and appreciate his input.

  5. I was wondering about this but reading that last post gave me a headache, too much detail. It would have seemed simpler just to say yea, re-apply to get the message off the SSN card. Sorry, this immigration stuff is complex enough without including all the government mumbo jumbo on top of a simple question.

Methinks if you would read a bit more before you chew out a very valued member of the VJ community, you would understand why the "mumbo jumbo" is sometimes necessary.

Not only has mdyoung been through the whole process from beginning to end (his wife's naturalization was recently approved), he has an exhaustive knowledge of SSA, and I know his experience and knowledge in that area have been helpful to me personally and to countless others here.

and your point being? ####### is ####### no matter how it is put.

If there is a God the SSA office will tell you a K-1 can't be assigned an SSN. LOL

  7. it goes by the # of little blue boxes you achieve = to amount you post

Is this explained anywhere? And how did you get the other person's post to be a different color?

Sorry that I exceeded your comprehension level.

You don't have to be insulting, I just thought you over-stated a simple question but I guess that is your nature.

Hopefully, you won't get into a situation that you need the government mumbo jumbo, but I have found that knowing the government mumbo jumbo is an asset when dealing with SSA offices.

It is obvious from this and other posts from you that you do know the mumbo jumbo but sorry for me saying it just gives me a head ache to try and read through all of that to get to the answer. It is easy enough to go to the government web site and read all the regulations about this and that. Why not just give a straight forward answer and then if the person needs more detail, give them the link. I don't know about others but to you you are just showing off.

Well let's put it to a vote. I will stop posting help here if the majority of people don't want my help, since there is nothing on this Website that I need and can spend my time doing other things.

My intentions weren't to have you stop posting, just don't make it so detailed that the average person gets tried of reading the post before getting to the actual answer. You, like other members who have been here longer, have a lot to offer and are very helpful with varioius immigration questions that otherwise would probably require a lot of work gleening information from various government web sites like the ones you post links to.
