  1. We were finally re-scheduled for an interview!  they had scheduled us for the ONE vacation we had where we absolutely couldn't cancel so we had to send in the letter asking for a reschedule.  It took 4 months to get re-scheduled!  Anyway....we live in Elgin--does anyone know if he will do the Oath ceremony downtown or is there one closer?   Also, is there somewhere to see the schedule of upcoming ceremonies?  Just trying to get an idea of when his might be.

  2. I don't post often, just lurk but I wanted to chime in here that I'm still waiting.

Submitted my ROC 12/14/17 and case was transferred (but doesn't say WHERE) on 6/11/18.   We got our 18 month extension letter but then, NOTHING.   My receipt number starts WAC18075....

So tired of this waiting game!  We did submit an N400 application Jan 2, 2019 and did biometrics Jan 25, 2019 so no news on that front either (Chicago office.)

So many people that submitted after me are getting approved and I am so frustrated.

  3. TabeaK,

I was granted an expedite two weeks ago. Others I've seen often get their NOA2 within days of an expedite being granted but I have to wait six weeks before I can ask about it. I was hoping this message means it's at least moving...

  4. From my senator's office:

    "Dear Ms. Bxxxx,

I have just received notifications from the US Citizenship and Immigration Services in response to my inquiry on your behalf. They stated:

'Your constituent's I129F is currently enroute to an officer that will review the I129F case (SRCxxxxxxxxxx which has been consolidated into Axxxxxxxxx) and upon a decision being made, your constituent will receive notification. '

Please be assured that I will continue to monitor this matter and will keep you advised as I receive any additional information.

    Sincerely,

    John Fleming

    US Representative "

Is the A number they referenced my fiance's alien number or just another number TSC uses? Does anyone know?

  5. Do you have any tangible proof that she married you just to make it here other than mere sentiments? From your own story it did seem like a real marriage that's failing... you stated that you argued for two months and for whatever the argument, the marriage has just been impacted. marriage is tough bro and take it easy less you hurt yourself worse than it already is.

    This.

You're mad at her for not signing a piece of paper that says that you'll leave her penniless if you die? And SHE'S to blame?

  6. Start here with "What Visa Do We Need"

    http://www.visajourney.com/content/guides

That will answer 90% of your questions if you go through that page and all the info there.

There's absolutely no way you can get all the way through a K-1 or an I-130 (spouse) by June. They are only now processing applications from last October. Even if you get the faster service center, you're talking about a 5 month process with no hiccups.

  7. My expedite request for my I-129 was approved. I have not received NOA2 yet. I know that I have to request an expedite at each step but I'm not sure how or when. I've read that you can contact NVC with your USCIS case number and that works. Do I send in my request and proof now or 2 weeks after NOA 2 when NVC should have it? Or do I just contact the embassy directly after I get NOA2? THANKS!

  8. Hire a private investigator in his area if you're suspicious there's someone else. It seems a little drastic but you're putting a lot on the line by petitioning for his visa and you''d rather know NOW that it's not going to work. You're committing to spending the rest of your life with this guy. If the PI comes up with nothing, then you have peace of mind. If he shows you that you're dating a cheater, you can decide whether or not to continue the relationship and visa.

  9. I had some doubts...my fiance is 14 years older than me and this will be my second marriage. I am terrified to re-live the divorce process. I asked my parents and sister about my fiance--they didn't love my first husband so they obviously saw something I didn't back then. I figured maybe they would see something this time. They told me that they had doubts about his age but that we could work to overcome them. As far as cultural differences, they ARE real. My fiance is from Australia which isn't all that different from America and we still run into cultural differences that we have to work through. I imagine your cultural differences are way more pronounced.

My advice would be the same as everyone else's....ask someone you trust about your situation and get their honest opinion on whether or not you should go through with this. An outsider's view isn't clouded by the love/emotion that you have. Also, since the K1 process takes so long, you have some time. Take a step back, breathe and if you feel like you want to do this, arrange (at least) another visit where you can see him face to face, on the same level, and have an in-person chat. BEST CASE scenario is he's holding back some details afraid of what you'll say, worst case is he's defrauding you to get a green card and there is lots more to his story than he will tell you.
