  1. From my wife's description, I think this was her process:

    1. She sent email to the DHL facebook page. No answer

    2. She called embassy, they told her to wait but offered that she could call DHL

    3. She called DHL Bogota #, they said she needed to wait for email. They didn't have any tracking info.

    4. She called embassy again and pressed them hard. The guy said she needed to wait another 2 weeks.

After my wife responded to that piece of advice, the guy might have felt his life was in danger. He said he would see what he could do.

    5. She received a call back from DHL. They asked for the same info they asked of lopezgallo, and told her they would do some research and call her back in the afternoon.

    6. About 3 hours later, DHL called back with the tracking info saying it would be received in their Cali office Thurs afternoon.

I think you really have to press the embassy to press DHL.

Thanks so much...we got two emails. One autoreply from "ASA Yatri" saying it would take 3-4 days to respond and the other was the long awaited tracking email! So we know now the passport should be leaving Bogota tonight or in the morning on the way to Cartagena to be picked up! Hope you all get your emails soon too.

  2. DHL called back and they found the tracking information for my wife's visa. It will be ready for pickup on Thursday in Cali.

So thank you lopezgallo for outlining the steps you used to get your daughter's visa.

It's clear that DHL is accepting passports from the embassy and readying them for shipment, but they are super slow to send that "mythical" email informing applicants/petitioners of the tracking numbers for these shipments. Calling DHL seems to be the fastest way to get a response.

Great news! It is really frustrating that we wait so long and now it seems no one knows where the passport is!

Glad you found an answer...did you email dhl colombia facebook as lopegallo recommended or use a different number? Customer service keeps telling my husband they can't do anything without a tracking number....and no response from embassy yet

  3. After calling DHL, I wasn't happy with the answer we received, I decided to contact DHL Colombia facebook page https://www.facebook.com/DHLColombia (inbox), and ask if they do have tracking number yet, I sent my daughter's name, and the ais.usvisa number (https://ais.usvisa-info.com/es-co/iv).

After a while I received a note asking me to send the phone number so a costumer representative can call me.

After half an hour, I received the call from DHL, I told her what was happening and she ask me my daughter's name and cedula number and she told me she will call me later.

Five minutes later, she called me with tracking number and told me the passport was ready to be picked up. So please, each one of you with issued visa, call DHL, or write.

The e-mail that I use to write to the embassy is IVBogota@state.gov

PS. We went immediately to pick up my daughter's passport, and we will be travelling on July 15th.

Congratulations! Wow you have a travel date:))) And thanks so much for the information...it really has been helpful knowing we aren't the only ones experiencing delay after delay with this whole process. We will contact DHL again tomorrow

  4. My prayers for you, to receive soon good news! :goofy:

Great news that you know it's on its way! What email address did you use?...we might want to send one to see if we can get a quick reply too:)

At least it is on it way thank goodness we are still in ap and. Mo one had answerd my email we sent all info I would hope they would at least send conformation email saying that Thanks we got it not even that lol

Yes, no reply is frustrating..ugh sorry.. hope they finish your case soon:(

  5. I believe your assumption is incorrect. My status update date was 6/11/2015 for two weeks. Then yesterday it was moved to 6/24/2015 - same status (Admin Processing) but just the date updated.

It's probably a good bet that if your status update date is made current, that they're working to process your visa.

Great thanks-was hoping I was wrong! and congratulations:)

  6. Congratulations Russ&Caro!! They are moving now! I just checked my daughter's status and her visa is Issued too!

Our prayers for you lilygirl1129, laucs72, Sanama to receive the same good news soon! :)

Great news wow lots moving now! Thanks for the wishes:)

I have a question-I was not really checking CEAC very often until last couple days-it seems like the "status updated date" is always the current date-did that happen for others? I was assuming it just automatically updated to current date and didnt mean anything?

  7. Sad day .....everything went ok but before we can get approved I need to send a sponsors information he got there at 830 was out by 12 30 I have to upload co sponsor information to site they kept all his documents so that he dosnet have to return which I never heard of but hopeful will be over with this soon I wish I would have know we needed a sponsor for our family size I thought we where good since NVC didn't ask for one orginally (feeling distraught

    :,(.???????..)

I am so sorry lilygirl-that is not fair. I hope it all works out soon and you can forget this nightmare experience.

I mentioned this in an earlier post, but it bears repeating, if you're scheduling a medical appointment in Bogota, avoid...

    Dr Mónica Caicedo

Here is the pain and money she cost us:

    1. She unnecessarily referred my wife to a specialist when my wife's personal doctor's records were already clear.

    2. The doctor received the specialist's report the day before the interview but did not forward them on immediately

    3. After the interview, she called my wife to come visit again. My wife gave her some more details and asked if the doctor needed anything else, to which the doctor replied, "no".

    4. My wife flew back to her home town of Cali, but upon landing received a voice mail from the doctor saying that she needed to return to sign a document.

    5. We had to buy another RT ticket to Bogota so my wife could sign the document, the next day.

    6. The doctor still did not send the medical documents to the consulate on Thursday.

    7. Finally, 2 days after the interview, the doctor sent the documents to the consulate.

Again, my recommendation would be to avoid at all costs.

Wow, I cannot believe that, thankfully my husband went elsewhere-They did charge him to get a vaccine he truly didn't need but that's not too bad-kinda expected it given the reviews of the doctors.

My husband is at the embassy now-hopefully done soon.

  8. i have a question plz

my scan date is Feb. 13, I called the NVC at april 07, as i got the 60 days email..

the rep told me that my case should have been reviewed and she made a notice to the supervisor.

Now when i call the nvc they tells me that my case is being review the the supervisor!

Does any one has any idea how long this gonna take them to give me the answer??

    Thanks alot..

My experience was a checklist 02/10/15, called and a supervisor review was requested. About 3 weeks later I got a phone call regarding my case.

  9. Just got off the phone with NVC..Instead of receiving great news I got devastation..

Rep told me i will be getting a Checklist soon..Missing marriage certificate, Missing beneficiary court records, and AOS Part 6 5. My current income annual is

This is total ********************.....I am more than positive i sent these in. I know i did, i checked before i sealed the package at FedEx more than 10 times. This is soooo heartbreaking. How am i going to explain this to my husband?..I am truly lost for words.

So sorry BellaRose-I too had to call my husband to tell him the bad news when we were expecting good. This process really can beat you down but be encouraged that once you send in what they request-it shouldn't be too long-hopefully those 60 day days are all over. most of this is out of our control so just have to take lots of deep breaths and know it really will be over at some point in the "near" future

An FYI-I was told by the agent after I got a checklist for my husbands Birth cert that they simply didn't have it. I requested a supervisor review and although I was positive I sent the original and a copy, I overnighted a new copy. 3 weeks later they called to say it wasnt that they didnt have it but rather that it didnt have the proper seal from a notary public. So you might want to really verify what the issue is if you know you sent it (easy to say hard to do)
