  1. We are in the same boat. We did get the notification that the EAD card was being generated on 8/22/15, we got the approval letter on 8/28 by regular mail that states the actual card is mailed under separate cover, and on our online case status it gives a USPS 2-3 day priority tracking number and it says "delivered" 8/28 but we know sometimes the USPS checks "delivered" when it isn't quite yet. We are expecting it tomorrow, so I would guess about a week for you.

Yep, most likely. My wife nor I got notified when it was mailed. We just found out when checking online, like you. My wife received her card 3-4 days after it was mailed.

Thanks guys. I just received the approval letter today but still no tracking number on my case status.

pher0407, have you received your card already?

  2. Hi everyone,

I had my biometrics last July 20 and checked my EAD case status just now. It says:

On August 28, 2015, we mailed your new card for Receipt Number MSCxxxxxxxxxx, to the address you gave us. If you do not receive your card by September 27, 2015, please go to www.uscis.gov/e-request to request that we send your new card to you. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

Does this really mean that my card is on its way to me? How long does it usually take for it to be mailed? I am just wondering because unlike some people, I have not received any notifications/emails when my card was under production/mailed. Would love to hear your experiences :)

    Thanks!

  3. I don't know much about this, but would like to find out more. I've lived here in Manila for the better part of 14 years and heading to the US with my and my wife's stuff will be problematic without shipping things from here to the US.

My aunt & uncle lived here as expats while working for a foreign multinational and at the end of their time here, used a service of Johnny Air Cargo, that used sea-based cargo shipping. Unlimited weight as long as you can fit it in the box. Takes a month or more for it to get to the US. Rates I can't recall, but I'm going to get in touch with both my aunt & uncle as well as JAC for more info.

If you find out about other reputable PHL>US shipping services paki share so we all can benefit. :)

Checked out a bunch of sites and Johnny Cargo seems to be the cheapest. Will update you! Let me know if you find anything as well. Thanks!

Here are a few that I was able to find. (Google is your best friend)

I don't endorse any of these nor have I ever used their services. Your mileage will vary.

Thanks a lot! will check these out

  4. I'm flying out soon and starting to pack all my stuff. I don't wanna bring too much with me at the airport so I'm thinking of just shipping boxes to the US. I heard it's much cheaper too and I don't mind waiting a month or so for the boxes to be delivered.

I'm just not familiar with how it works, which cargo service is best and whatnot. Any suggestions? I'm having the boxes delivered to Denver.

    Appreciate your help!

  5. Coolness! Mine was delivered yesterday and booked a flight with UNITED too. Is Guam going to be our POE? My flight details are MNL-GUAM-HAWAII-NEWYORK-ATLANTA. So i'm not sure if NY would be my POE since it's in the mainland USA or it might be GUAM since it's a US territory. I'm really not sure

I also booked a flight for my mom she's leaving April but her itinerary is better, MNL-TOKYO-Washington DC -Atlanta, i'm sure DC would be her POE.

Yes, Guam is my POE. Though I am still trying to find out if i have to claim bags there and go through customs, or if i'll be doing that in Honolulu. (posted a topic about it)

Woooow that is one long flight for you! Mine is MNL-Guam-Honolulu-Denver. Hope you and your mom have safe and comfortable flights!

  6. the airlines will let you know if you have to claim your bags in Guam I am not sure if you have to recheck your bags or not. Why are you flying from Manila to Guam to Honolulu then to Denver I use to live in Denver and when I flew from there to manila and back using united. I always flew Denver to Tokyo then manila and coming back Manila to Tokyo then Denver. If Denver is your final stop, that would of been the best route. Only one stopover and Denver would of been your POE instead of Guam.

Well it was either that or MNL-Tokyo-Minneapolis-Denver. I did see flights like yours a few months back but can't find 'em now.

It's alright though, all done now and nothing we can do haha just hoping Guam POE won't be a pain. And really hoping 1hr10mins is enough!

  7. So I now know that my POE will be Guam. Just wondering if I have to claim by bags there? or do I just go through immigration, TSA security then gate to connecting flight? (flying alone is making me nervous!)

Airline is United and I only have about 1 hour and 10 minutes (5:20am to 6:30am) in Guam till my next flight to Honolulu then Denver. I'm a bit worried if 1h10mins is enough time?

Hope you guys can share your experiences :) Thanks a lot!

  8. I'm happy for you! Time to book your flight now!

I'll probably recieve mine next week, coz i had it deliver in the Province.

How to track it with 2go?

Thank you! I'll wait till i have my visa on hand before I book the flight. Best to be 100% sure :)

Use 2Go’s e-Trace. There are three ways to track your visa package through that link:

    1. Using your passport number

    2. MNL Case number

    3. UID number found in your Visa Appointment Confirmation Page

I tried all three and the only one that worked was my UID Number. Some use their passport #, some their case number. Check which one works for you :)

  9. Hey don't feel bad, it's coming your way don't worry. ?

Im just glad with my case because after the interview, i already booked a flight for March 12 because i have to be there on Thursday ( fiance's off ) , i even hold it for farelock a week before my interview just to make sure i can get the best rate. ( airfare prices is starting to get high, it's almost spring break ) as me and my fiance has been saying we started this whole process by faith, so we will continue walking by faith.

Oh wow have a safe flight! :)

I am now tracking my visa on 2go:

    2/13/2015 10:09:43 AM IN-TRANSIT

2/13/2015 4:26:31 PM ACCEPTED SHIPMENT FROM CUSTOMER

    2/13/2015 6:07:06 PM IN-TRANSIT

Hoping it'll be ready for pick up in Makati tomorrow. So excited!!

  10. On the 2go etrace does it say the customer is Stanley Associates after you click on the UID in the document column? I think they are a company (possibly another name for 2go) that delivers the packages to the 2go locations in metro Manila. Atleast that's how it appeared to me on the UID search result page after I clicked on the UID number. My guess is 2go makati has it. Did you call makati 2go?

Yes, Stanley Associates (US) - IV. Think this is Immigrant Visa of USEM. 'Cause I just called the 2go customer service hotline and they said they just picked up the package from the USEM.

    Waiting, waiting. Hehe
