  1. Shukria Vkrishn for your reply, I fall in case number 3, I called Aramex and they told me that the passport is still with the embassy, contacting my congressman sounds intriguing, i'll look it up online.

I looked up my case status on CEAC and it says " READY "

Case Creation Date: 19-May-2015 Status Updated Date:

    19-Oct-2015

I don't understand why it's still as "READY", since my wife has already been interviewed.

  2. Hi All, I filed the i-130 for my wife (PD January 2014), we received the interview letter in August 2015 and the interview was September 8th 2015.

The Problem is(after my wife got approved by the end of her interview at the US Embassy in Cairo,Egypt) they took her Passport and told her to expect it within 30 days via courrier Aramex, and it's been over 2.5 months now (and still counting)

I tried to contact the embassy in every possible way I thought of, long story short, no phones, no chat, no costumer service, I can only email (consularcairoiv@state.gov) for immigrant visa inquiries and they're so slow in their replies (4 weeks to get a reply) and when I got a reply, they told me that officer is still reviewing the case !! And they'll let us know when they're done.

Is anyone else facing the same problem? Any suggestions??

    thank you !!

  3. Dear friends !

My wife just had her interview few days ago and Thank God we got it approved and waiting for the passport via courier !

    I can't believe we're finally there!

She went to the embassy an hour before her appointment, they asked her to get an Aramex (courier) shipping form before she gets in, that form was available in the stationary stores near the embassy.

Once she's in they took the passport with thebletter appointment and the original documents required by the appointment letter and gave her a number.

They called her number after about 50 mns and a lady revised the papers with her and gave her back the original documents sent to nvc amd asked her to wait again.

The second time she was called the interviewer asked her:

When did you meet your husband ?

When did you get married ?

How long has he been in the states ?

    Is he a citizen yet?

Where are you going to live?

    And that was it!

They took the passport and we shud receive it via Aramex within 20 days, God willing.

Hang on tight guys, and I want to thank every and eaxh one of you for your support eversince I became a member, it was a very tough journey, close to be over now, so shall all of your waiting, may God join you with your loved ones sooner than later :)

I'll hang around in case anybody had questions I can help answer.

    God bless you all.

  5. Quick update after a call to nvc, they said my case has been completed(it took them ablittle over 30 days and a call every now and then to check the status) and now I just need to wait for an email for the interview date, and there's no time frame of how soon I can receive the date, do I have to call back in a couple of weeks if I heard nothing?

They might have the info but not emailed yet??

  6. Hi Padistine - hi there!!!!

Im in your exact position .....but everyone is advising not to send the IV fee by mail. So I am waiting for 30 days (seems to be the time frame when the IV fee shows up online). That means by July 15, hopefully, the IV will show online and I will be able to pay.

the problem is if you send your docs before you have paid the AOS and/or the IV fee and/filled the DS-260 form, you will get check-listed. If your PD is some way off, that's not such a big deal because you have time....but for those of us whose PD is current or is about to become current, a checklist is not what we want at this point.

This "game" with NVC requires patience and a steely heart!

Best of luck and hang in there!

    I see!

Thanks Sbai2000, I was thinking that we've been waiting for so long that another couple of weeks won't kill us :D

My Pd is Jan 14th 2014.

2 questions for anyone to answer,

why is check list a bad thing?

And is there a way to show my info like PD in the signature automatically ?XD

    Thanks again

  7. Hey Guys, it's good to see all the great news and progress, many of you are almost there!

Hopewings, it's so damn good to see you here!

Habel, congratulations for the interview !!

I have paid the AOS fees and sent the documents they asked about 2 weeks ago,I received today an email with an invoice page for the visa fees(in case I wanna pay by mail)

I dont have accesss on the website to pay the visa fees, but the AOS shows Paid though.

Should I wait for the website or pay by mail?

  8. Hey Guys, I finally got a Case number and invoice ID over the phone, I couldn't add my email since (according to the representative) someone is still working on my case.

I Was also told they received it on May 7th (CA cener approved on April 16th)

I tried to start the process using these new credentials but it's not accepted, maybe the work on my case was not finalized?
