  1. Borders are imaginary lines. We keep them that way because we still see the world as 'them', 'us', 'you', 'they', 'me', 'mine', 'yours', etc. To see beyond the borders and the differences takes a huge shift in thinking to see the fact that everything and everyone is the same. To group anyone or anything into countries or 'tribes' is a very primitive way of thinking.

I agree that it is rediculous and should be laughed at more than it should be agonized over.

Here is a link to something Wayne Dyer wrote about this very thing:

    http://www.consumercide.com/dyer-worldego.html

This is a subject I feel very strongly about and feel that it needs to have more light shed on it.

Best wishes to all on this journey!

    Brenda

  2. I haven't been on VJ for very long but I have done a lot of reading and observing.

I honestly do not see any rhyme or reason to the people who are denied or approved through the Moroccan Consulate. I truly wish I did.

As for Morocco 'specializing' in 'boy toys'...I don't see it either. I do believe that in every culture and in every country you will see boy toys, women marrying younger men, and relationships based on 'ulterior' motives.

Does Morocco have fraudulent marriages...YEP! Does the US have fraudulent marriages...YEP! Does every country in the world have fraudulent marriages...YEP!!!!!!!!!!!

And all of the above countries have honest relationships.

And that is why we are all here on this website.

I am pretty shocked at the boldness of someone to more or less label an entire region as frauds.

But I am glad to see variety and the environment to express all opinions.

Best wishes to all on their journeys!

  3. Good Morning! Here's hoping we all hear good news today!!!!!!

I'm surprising my fiance by leaving to see him on Monday!!!! We just can't wait to see each other and he really misses me. He will be sooooooooooo happy!!!!

  4. The NEW I-129f form has been put on the USCIS website. Here is the link:

    http://www.uscis.gov/graphics/newforms.htm

There is a new section added to the I-129f that wasn't on the form we sent in. I'm guessing that we will be asked to answer those questions in the RFE that is being issued 'immediately'.

That is my guess. Seems like a lot of extra waiting for a few questions that they want us to answer. And WHY wouldn't these things be found in any ordinary background checks that they must do anyway?

...must learn patience...must learn patience...must learn patience...I'M SICK OF BEING PATIENT!!!!!!!!!!!!! :ranting:

This is the entire message that they sent me:

I'm hoping that my original NOA1 is still being used.

  7. Does anyone have a link to the interview questions that were on here a few days ago?

I am trying to get as much information together as I can when I get my NOA2. I want to take as many things with me to Morocco in a few days so I don't have to send too many things in the mail.

Also, do I need CERTIFIED copies of my taxes? Or can copies of them be good enough?

One last question, on the I-134, where is it that I sign on the form? Am I the sponsor? The wording makes it sound like the only places to sign are for a co-sponsor.

I also checked my status online today and it said:

On June 14, 2006, your I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E) was received here for processing. We will mail you a decision as soon as processing is complete. You can use our processing dates to estimate when this case will be done. Follow the the link below for current processing dates.

Does this mean I have a new NOA1 date?

I'm just full of questions today...

  8. I sent my K-1 to NE and received an NOA1 in the mail in 7 days. However, as of June 1, NE sent many applications to CA. They may be in the middle of trying to get your case transferred to CA. You will hear something soon I'm sure. They have been good at sending notices for everything in my case so far. It just seems to take a while by mail.

    Hang in there.

  9. I checked my case status today and read this:

"On June 14, 2006, your I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E) was received here for processing. We will mail you a decision as soon as processing is complete. You can use our processing dates to estimate when this case will be done. Follow the the link below for current processing dates. "

Does that mean that I have a NEW NOA1 date?! My original NOA1 date was 5/5/06 when I sent it to Nebraska. On June 1 the case was transferred to California. Are they giving new NOA1 dates when the cases are transferred?

  10. Good morning to everyone! I hope today brings good news to all of us waiting.

    rahma - Happy Anniversary!

jessNgeorges - Happy Anniversary too!!!! I hope that you and George's friend's american wife can become friends and help each other out.

I got good news today that my fiance will be meeting me in France and we will then go together to Morocco!!!! 14 more days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  11. We are going to be traveling quite a bit from the North to the South of Morocco. But we will also be in Khemisset with his family for a while for our fiance party.

What are your favorite places to visit in Morocco?

The first time I was there, we went to the Atlas Mountains (to see the monkeys-sooooooooo cool-but then it doesn't take much for me to get excited-being an Iowa farmer's daughter and all  ) and we went to the North near Tangier and all around Casa, Rabat, Fez, Meknes, Kenitra and Khemisset. I want to see Marrakech (sp?) and the sand dunes/Sahara.

I am also trying to brush up on my Arabic and French. ANY and ALL help with that is appreciated beyond what I can say.

    Brenda

  12. My thoughts are with everyone that they hear good news very soon and can be with their loved ones as quickly as possible.

ella74ny-I'll be in Morocco for 3 weeks. It's been 6 months since I've seen my fiance. I'm very grateful that I get the chance to go to visit him again.

  13. That's great news! It will go faster in CSC? And no interview at CSC? I have an NOA1 of May 8, 2006 and my case was transferred June 1 from NE to CA. Does that mean it will be processed faster and they I (my fiance) may not have to do an interview?

    Brenda

Oops! Forgot to add that we are doing an I-129F petition!

  14. It looks like I am among a whole bunch that got their cases transferred from NE to CA as of yesterday. I've read several interesting things. Don't know if they're true or not: California is supposed to be processing K-1's only now. There is a new I-129F application form as of March 26th and they are waiting to decide what to do with the cases already received. And of course speculation that it is because of the new IMBRA law.

California processes slower than NE according to the processing timelines so I am guessing this is going to slow things down a bit.

    More waiting...
