mlucasva got a reaction from gryphon in Case Complete to Interview July 2016
I just wanted to take some time to thank everyone in this forum for their assistance throughout this process. My wife had her interview this morning and we have been approved!! She said it was very fast, only lasting 3-4 minutes. It sounds like they basically asked 2 questions: how we met and what I do for a living (both with simple follow-on and related questions). They then looked through the pictures and asked where we got married. They told her she was approved and happy travels. She claims they then took her passport and advised it should be ready for pickup within 2 weeks.
Thanks again everyone and for those still navigating through the process, rest assured it's just a waiting game at this point and it will all be over soon.

Sometimes I just type quickly, in purposefully short sentences, since I am not generally willing to write an error-free report.
I am concerned when an individual with no experience in the world of visas nor immigration law offers the kind of 'advice' that will only lead to problems if heeded.
Most people on this site, and most people living in the US have no real or accurate idea of what is happening behind the windows in an embassy regarding visa interviewing. Many think they know, or that they have some 'foolproof' method of obtaining a visa by supposedly fooling a CO, using semantics. Good luck with that approach.
When those transparent maneuvers fail, the applicant will be instantly branded or labeled as someone who is, at best, evasive (not a positive trait) and at worst, a liar. Neither trait nor any one between those extremes will help that applicant obtain a visa (usually tourist or business) in the foreseeable future no matter why he/she wants to go, who invites him or her, etc.
That is the part that the so-called experts forget to mention to our viewers when they offer their 'tip'; that the downside for failure will be severe and long lasting.
So yes, I responded a bit too bluntly - sorry - but I hope folks will read this post and reconsider their actions if they are contemplating engaging a CO in word games or a battle of wits, hoping to prevail.

I understand you're here to help HFM181818 - however perhaps your method of writing also leaves something to desire. Perhaps typing in a more professional manner, using proper punctuation, complete sentences, and paragraphs, may endear you to our fellow forum members.
Of course I understand that you may not particularly care if people can read what you're writing; by all means continue on as you have if that's the case.
In my opinion, which I'm sure counts for moot but is given anyhow, it's hard to take you seriously as a "retired CO" when you type in the manner that you do. Also, you're belittling people, which is actually against the TOS regardless whether some of the mods want to take action against it or not. In this forum you cannot call people names or take away their enjoyment of the forums.
