Hi everyone, my son got his green card 2 months before me, does that mean we have to file separately? I know uscis website says to fill jointly if we received it same day or 90 days thereafter, but nothing about if he received it before me. Thanks for all your help 

Yes we have a prenup I don't get anything from him except plane ticketsand I agreed to that so I am not looking for money because my relationship was truthful and my feelings for him were real but I don't want to be threatened that I won't have food for me and my son or to be kicked out of his house because I have been faithful to him since day one

I don't deserve to be treated like garbage

I understand people ask me to just leave but it's gonna take me few days to prepare myself and my son

I just came here to this forum because he threatened me and I just wanted to know if he could the things he said he would do before I leave that's all

I don't have green card and I don't want to stay here either but while I leave and go back to my country I don't want to be treated bad by him, he threatens me to no buy food for me and my son and kick me out but I don't know if he has the right to do that

Hi everybody i came to USA in April 27th everything was good between my husband and I, I met him In 2012 and we lived together for 2 years in my country we got engaged on New Year's Eve and we were planning on getting married there but his mom got sick he had to come back to take care of her, she didn't get better so we decided to apply for k-1 visa and move here, we have been together for almost 4 years but today I found on his Facebook he look for women from my country over hundred times the past 3 years I realize he cheated on me and I feel like a fool I wanna get divorce and I told him but he not only cheats on me he still telling he will no pay for my food or my son food anymore and he wants me leave his house as soon as possible and if I fight over prenup he will #### up my life

I just don't know what my rights are as a wife here in America I don't even have a car here i feel I am stuck here and i don't know anybody to ask for help

But instructions say part 6 you can select all boxes that apply to you(the sponsor)

Hi, I filled for adjustment of status for me and my son at the same time, I received notice Tuesday 28th they cashed check Monday 27th but only the money for my case, not for my son and they still haven't cashed out my son's check

does anybody know if this is usual for k-1 and k-2 visas applying at the same time????

I just got married last week i am trying to do adjustment of status I don't know how to legally change my name

I want to fill form I-485 I just called USCiS and they were helpless they only told me that if I write a different name I have to show proof of legal name changed

I want to use my last name and my husbands last name

I am lost!!! Any help will be appreciated

I was approved on April 9th the officer told me to wait 3 or 4 business days

I received my sons passport last Friday but not my passport

I went today to embassy and they told me they are having problems with system, I don't understand why, I received my son's passport but not mine they wouldn't give me answer

They said to wait the latest next Tuesday but I already booked tickets for that day

I don't know what to do I need help I am mentally exhausted from waiting so many months and I still have to wait and I have no idea why they are delaying my passport

It's not about being unsure it was just a question about if it was legal that's all I was completely shocked they took it away.

Actually my relationship with my fiance is completely different I lived with my fiance in my country for 2 years but he HAD TO move back to United States. So trust me it's not about insecurities. I just thought the guy was being rude, but since it's legal I understand now. And I understand uscis don't care if my relationship works or not, they just take away visitors visa without changing status first.

I understand I don't need cause I will live in United States, but I have a truthful relationship with my future husband and I know there is always a chance it might not work and if it doesn't work with my husband I will have to come back to my country and I will have to do visitor visa all over again, even if I live with my husband and everything goes well, I just felt it was my visa and they shouldn't take it away until I actually get my status change, that's all

Hi everyone I was approved today!!! But I have a question,when I got approved the man who interviewed me took away my visitor visa which is b-2 I am completely shocked cause I just received this visa last year for 10 years and now I will no longer have it, is this something legal?he was very rude and I really was surprised when I heard him say you are approved but you will no longer have visitor visa

My fiance and I were approved last night too I couldn't believe it thank god this part is over I wish you all the best luck !!!! My fiance contacted senator office and it really worked they were really nice to us and helped us in our case

Exactly, financially speaking, they will still get their pay checks (good for them) but that does not mean they will work on fiancé visas, if homeland gets shutdown, would you as an American citizen allow new immigrants to come in to your country?

I personally believe that Texas service center is just simply not working on fiancé visas at all because of the situation on homeland security, I told my fiancé since last Monday I was afraid that was gonna affect us and he said to me that has nothing to do with us but to me it does, when you send the petition it clearly says to the department homeland security" in the address and we are immigrants and they don't want more immigrants, if homeland security gets shut down they will have no way to protect themselves against immigrants that might try to hurt them, if this is the reason why they stopped working then we are gonna wait until February 27th and if homeland gets shut down I have no idea what's gonna happen

But I am still hoping I am wrong! =(

I totally agree! It is hard frustrating !!! But let's remember it's our time!!!!! It's July filers time!!! We will get approved soon !!!

We have been waiting for almost 7 months and we don't have to wait much longer

Just think about how we have been able to be apart from our partners for 7 months, another month is nothing comparing how our life will change after getting approved

For my fiance and I it has been almost a year!! He used to live with me here in my country and we lived together for 2 years then his mother got so sick he moved back to take care of his mother on April and it took us a while before applying for visa due to him being so busy, so believe me it has been the hardest thing to wait almost a year to be back together

So please think that this is our time and the waiting is almost over!!
