  3. Hello everyone,

My wife was asked to submit her medical and fill out DS-160 and submit two passport size photographs. This was around the beginning of the month. Around the 13th of the month, she got a call to schedule her to come in for fingerprints and oath. The officer asked her to bring her passport (If you remember we asked for it back to travel to UAE which we did and boy was it a blast).

On the 20th (today), she went for her fingerprints and oath, the officer kept her passport and told her she has been approved and that she should be getting the visa in about a couple of weeks. Alhamdulillah we are finally able to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Stay strong everyone.

On a side note: she did mention that during her 1.5 hours there, she saw almost all young folks get rejected. It was depressing she told me. The only ones getting approved were older folks, parents, medical need folks, etc. All the younger ones were getting the green 221g slip.

My prayers are with everyone. Allah knows how much this tests one's relationship. Patience truly bears sweet fruit. Never give up and always have faith that God will make it better. As they say in our language "Uskay ghar dayr hai andhair nahin".

congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!! brother remember me in your prayers as i am 5th year of AP........

is anyone having trouble accessing ceac site? i can't even open that page

yeah ceac site is not working from Pakistan only......

  4. Thank God you have applied for CR-1 visa if it was a K-1 they would just tell you it expired after all this time. My heart breaks for you and others in your situation. For some reason they are not even working your case. They just let it sit there hoping it will go away. You and your wife are very strong people and the embassy has not destroyed your marriage like they have done to so many others. I will keep praying for you.

Thank you so much for your kind words, sympathy and pray!!! I really appreciate that.

I request you and all to please remember me in your prayers always, thanks.

congratulations!!!!!!!! remember us in your prayers........5th year in AP no update, last 2 months only update on email inquiry ......reply always same......your case in administrative processing .....which is a normal process (5th years in normal AP...)......it takes few weeks or months.......etc. etc.

  7. My prayers are always with everyone who is waiting , this is such a nerve wrecking experience. I pray we all be reunited with our loved ones and this torture of a journey be over

I will beleive it when i see issued im still so scared to get too excited.

same here......scared of many things......even if i get visa i will be scared until I reach USA safely.....because I have seen few cases in embassy did mistakes like some time issue visa with wrong information, some time after every thing done they put back on AP,

But rest assured all that bad will not happened in your husband case inshaa Allah.

  8. Congrats to everyone that has received their visa!!

So after 2.5 years of AP, my husband was finally issued his visa. We got AP after our interview and my husband was called after 15 months for a fresh medical and oath. He went to the embassy but was told some work remained on his AP and that the DC office was working on it. But they assured him that it would be completed in 6 months but of course that didn't happen. So after another 15 months, he was called again for fresh medical and oath. And finally approved :)

Good luck to everyone still waiting...just be patient and pray. Everything will work out at the end.

    Congratulations!!!......best wishes for future!!!!

  9. Karachi_ guy try not to bother you this process I know how it's feel's please think positive it will come to ends anytime soon.insha Allha we all praying for you brother.

yarm bro I have lost 7 precious years of my life for this US visa, 5th year in "administrative processing",

I try to be positive but some time I feel broken and day by day losing hope.....anyhow thanks for your pray thats what I need always.

Thanks brother and you are in mu dua

thanks bro for dua thats what I need always.

  10. It's been soooo long since ive come on visa journey and posted but i used to post every day until my heart broke but now we have good news!!!

WE ARE APPROVED!!!!!!! Hes coming home!!!!

    See the story here: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/565434-all-dreams-do-come-true/

Congratulations!!!! EAbbas and best of luck for your future!!!!!!!!! I am very glad that your husband got visa after going through a long process.

remember me in your prayers as we are going through same pain since 2nd January 2009 (wedding date) and in plain admin process for last 4 years and still waiting and waiting....

  11. I checked my ceac today and it says expiring soon, im waiting for embassy to review the documents that were sent, what should i do remind the embassy to change back to ap or they will do it on their own?

they will do it by their own but if you like send an email.

after completing an year, often in month of September the visa status change to expiring soon and withing a week they put again on AP.

, I am used to see this every year as i am in ap for last 4 years....

  12. It is time to move on to a different government official. If the senator's office is not helping you then try to get help from the local congressman's office. My congressman's office was very good and helpful to me. They got answers from the embassy and sent me letters explaining what the embassy was telling them. Goggle to find the congressman for your wife's area.

thank you carolyin for you kind advice and sure will try to approach congressman.

  13. Administrative processing is very much part of the normal process. You might feel frustrated, which is totally understandable, but these adjudicated rules were authorized by congress in the interest of national security of the United States. Yes you can question these rules to your congressman and/or senator. Congress can pass a law today telling CIS to implement timeline in processing visa applications, why don't they? While there are millions of people seeking to migrate to the United States, there are only enough resources to go around. Your file is one among millions that is being reviewed objectively.

4 years of "plain AP" a normal process??? if this is normal then i think there is nothing abnormal in this world.....

in last 4 years of AP embassy did not contacted me for any additional document and did not objection any of my paper....

regarding Congress to pass a law to implement timeline........so my dear friend if I get american citizenship i will definitely work on your advise.

and if there are millions of people and limited resource so they should not accept visa applications in millions...... if they can not manage it accordingly and timely.....putting some people in AP punishment for many years without telling the reason of delay and calling it its normal process is really a very painful things......and when this AP will end??? whole life? there are may people marriages are just destroyed because of this "normal process".

embassy has every record of the applicant, name, address, phone number, family details etc. still if some one says that due to limited resource you are in "AP" for many years .......and some get visas in few days, how come their process completed so soon.

4 years is not normal processing. The length of time spent in AP usually depends on what Country you come from which to me means the cases from Pakistan are not looked at objectively. I have been a member of visa journey sense 2009 when I got married and sent in our petition. The vast majority of people from other Countries got their visas years before my husband. It is rare for a person to go into an interview and be denied on the spot. They do background checks weather or not they plan to issue a visa. When a petition is sent back to them by USCIS and they have to give another interview they again make the couple go through a long AP.

Yes congress gave the Department of State all kinds of authority which doesn't mean that they don't abuse their power.

    200% agreed!!!!!!!!!!

  14. i think you are stuck in security checks second get senator involved again and again every 2 or 3 months tell them send one inquiry to department of state and send another one to embassy Islamabad its may not move things or may start moving after few days but at least they will know embassy have to complete this case and you wont leave this case alone.

in our case my senator were very helpful to getting exact information and they are working with us for very long time now they had send many many inquiry to us embassy Islamabad but sometime they start working on case then stop again but its also all depends on us embassy to finish case, the last time embassy has response to my senator inquiry in May 2015 this email above may helpful for you.

    Mrs. Hussain,

I submitted an inquiry to the Consulate to see if they would respond without the release authorization. The Consulate responded stated Mr. Hussain’s case is still undergoing administrative processing. Please understand Senate/Congressional offices cannot waive nor over-ride the administrative review since it involves security checks/national security matters.

The Consulate reassured our office they will contact Mr. Hussain as soon as the administrative processing is complete and they can proceed with the final phases of adjudicating his visa application.

    Dear Yarm brother

In my case my wife contacted senator office in Feb 2015 through email regarding my case and till now, whenever my wife calls the secretary of the senator, she says oh embassy said your case is AP and some time she says oh we did not get any reply from embassy as yet. It has been 8 months and we are still waiting for an official reply from that senator office but always on phone she says she will send us an email but she never did....

this kind of support we got from senator office........

  15. 4 years completed in AP, today my case updated, my wife got reply of inquiry mail from US Embassy Islamabad...

can anyone tell me what is mean of this "administrative processing a normal part of the visa process"

4 years completed in plain AP and they still not sure that am I terrorist? a criminal? or my wedding is bonafide??

I have 3 years old american born baby girl and my marriage date is 2nd January 2009.

and here is another interesting part of the mail....

"(admin process) can be neither expedited nor waived. We are unable to predict the amount of time this will require.

who is that power full authority, whom nobody can ask a question of this delay and even not allow to ask for reasons??

am I really a ghost or super man ??? that worlds top agencies not able to confirm about my identity and my character details in 4 years???

    --------------------------------------------

    Dear Petitioner,

Mr. Khan’s case is still undergoing administrative processing, a normal part of the visa application process, that can be neither expedited nor waived. We are unable to predict the amount of time this will require.

Once the administrative processing is complete, we will contact Mr. Khan. We hope this information is helpful. Please let us know if we can provide any further assistance.

    Sincerely,
