I had the same issue except mine said my RFE was sent on June 19. It showed up on my online account today. I still haven't received the actual letter. Keep checking your account and hopefully it will appear in a week or so. Good luck!

Your wife does not need a degree in order to get a job. It seem your only options are to get someone to file the affidavit of support for you or have your wife (the party who has work authorization) get a job so she can file the affidavit for you and ultimately get you a Green Card.
You will most likely be able to begin working in a few months after the paperwork is filed because you should get the work authorization in about 2 to 3 months.
