  1. Well basically they want to review all the documents you've provided and since they haven't made a decision yet on your case they've given you back the passport. Unfortunately there is no exact timeframe for AP it could take some weeks even months. No decision has been made yet it could go either way..

did they ask you for additional bonafide evidence? any certificate documents you were missing? either way once again you could be in AP for very little time or you will have to be VERY patient.

  2. so the Italian embassy replied today with this:

    Good Morning,

Your visa has not been printed yet due to technical issues. You will receive an email from DHL once the passport and visa are ready for pick up/delivery.

    Regards,

    IV Unit

    Naples, Italy

and also my CEAC status has been updated today to Ap (administrative processing) Im not sure at this point what that means

Case Creation Date: 12-Jun-2015 Status Updated Date: 04-Nov-2015

Your visa case is currently undergoing necessary administrative processing. This processing can take several weeks. Please follow any instructions provided by the Consular Officer at the time of your interview. If further information is needed, you will be contacted. If your visa application is approved, it will be processed and mailed/available within two business days. Under the U.S. Immigration and Nationality Act, Immigrant Visas for "Diversity Visas" cannot be issued after September 30th of the year in which you were selected to apply for a Diversity Visa. For example, entrants into the Diversity Visa Program in Fall of 2011 were selected for Diversity Visa 2012 Program, and selectees MUST apply and receive their visa prior to September 30, 2012 otherwise they lose eligibility to receive a Diversity Immigrant Visa, regardless of additional administrative processing. In addition, please note that some immigrant visas may not be able to be issued if the annual numerical limit for that category has been reached.

  3. I emailed the embassy today asking about my visa (today my ceac status was updated again to READY -_-) and I received this automated message:

Thank you for contacting the US Consulate Naples regarding your Immigrant Visa (IV) question.

The Department of State’s Bureau of Consular Affairs is currently experiencing technical problems with our overseas passport and visa systems. This issue is not specific to any particular country, citizenship document, or visa category. We apologize for the inconvenience and are working urgently to correct the problem and restore full operability.

  4. Hello everyone,

I am in a relation with a girl who is a green card holder in USA. recently we are getting married. I want some information about the US immigrant process. Please help me about the issues which is given below.

    1) How much time does it takes to get the visa as a spouse?

    2) If i apply for student visa and get approval does it gonna hamper the process or timeline of immigration?

    3) If after marriage a child born in USA does it gonna add any exception?

    4) If the process takes long time and she wished to pay visit every year (live with me for two or three month every year) does it gonna hamper the process or timeline of immigration?

extra information about the issue :

**my girlfriend is never been applied for any other person.

** She got her permanent residence or green card through her relatives ( the process were taken 12 years )

** I love her so much and want to live with her at any cost . If you have any information regarding the issues please help me. Thanks in advance.

If you get married to your LPR girlfriend the process for you to immigrate legally into the U.S will take about 2 years, you will be under the F2A category.
