Hey everyone,
I have filed I130 for both of my parents to come live with me in the U.S.A on 01/10/17. I have received the I-797 notice of action for each on 08/19/17 that says they have been approved abd trasnferred to NVC!! 😀 however one of them has an Alien # and the other doesn't. Does anyone know why this must be?
Thanks,
-
Administrative processing usually means that they're printing the visa onto the passport. If the interview went well and you were approved you will soon receive your visa, give it a week to 10 days.
-
congrats!!! finally so happy for you two...
-
No, they dont take exactly 30 days, it could be less or very rarely a bit more. Once your case is completed in about two weeks they send out the documents to the embassy
-
if you're not going to work then why did you overstay?
-
Well basically they want to review all the documents you've provided and since they haven't made a decision yet on your case they've given you back the passport. Unfortunately there is no exact timeframe for AP it could take some weeks even months. No decision has been made yet it could go either way..
did they ask you for additional bonafide evidence? any certificate documents you were missing? either way once again you could be in AP for very little time or you will have to be VERY patient.

Oh Im sorry to hear, I wonder why they were trying to contact her, Im guessing she will go monday and find out...good luck with whatever news you will get, stay positive

VISA in hand!!! finally!! I hope you all get yours soon as well

You will need to file for a IR1/CR1 visa which applies to spouses of U.S citizens, she's no longer your fiancé so the K1 wouldn't be the appropriate one for her.

You can find all the information in here:

My CEAC status changed to ISSUED hopefully I will be getting it delivered soon
-
so the Italian embassy replied today with this:
Good Morning,
Your visa has not been printed yet due to technical issues. You will receive an email from DHL once the passport and visa are ready for pick up/delivery.
Regards,
IV Unit
Naples, Italy
and also my CEAC status has been updated today to Ap (administrative processing) Im not sure at this point what that means
Your visa case is currently undergoing necessary administrative processing. This processing can take several weeks. Please follow any instructions provided by the Consular Officer at the time of your interview. If further information is needed, you will be contacted. If your visa application is approved, it will be processed and mailed/available within two business days. Under the U.S. Immigration and Nationality Act, Immigrant Visas for "Diversity Visas" cannot be issued after September 30th of the year in which you were selected to apply for a Diversity Visa. For example, entrants into the Diversity Visa Program in Fall of 2011 were selected for Diversity Visa 2012 Program, and selectees MUST apply and receive their visa prior to September 30, 2012 otherwise they lose eligibility to receive a Diversity Immigrant Visa, regardless of additional administrative processing. In addition, please note that some immigrant visas may not be able to be issued if the annual numerical limit for that category has been reached. For more information, please visit TRAVEL.STATE.GOV. -
I emailed the embassy today asking about my visa (today my ceac status was updated again to READY ) and I received this automated message:
Thank you for contacting the US Consulate Naples regarding your Immigrant Visa (IV) question.
The Department of State’s Bureau of Consular Affairs is currently experiencing technical problems with our overseas passport and visa systems. This issue is not specific to any particular country, citizenship document, or visa category. We apologize for the inconvenience and are working urgently to correct the problem and restore full operability.

Hello everyone, i just wanted to share with you our great news
Today 10/28/2015 we had our interview in Naples, Italy and after 434 we can finally say "we did it!" we were approved
thank god and all of you for the company and advice.

If you will be having the interview in Pakistan and police certificates expire after 6 months , you will need to get a new Police certificate.
-
My wife called me this morning to say that her visa was approved! Finally we can breath a sigh of relief. All praise goes to God!
Please when you have time update us on your Naples review I will be having mine soon and im too anxious and nervous about it. Thanks
-
Since your husband is a USC he can file for both of you at the same time, your daughter his "stepchild" can also file for AOS while staying in the U.S
-
That I can't say as I'm having trouble tracking our package as well. Perhaps DHL has modified their tracking system.
The DHL tracking I believe is for when they issue your approved visa then you will be able to track it through DHL

Hello everyone,
I am in a relation with a girl who is a green card holder in USA. recently we are getting married. I want some information about the US immigrant process. Please help me about the issues which is given below.
1) How much time does it takes to get the visa as a spouse?
2) If i apply for student visa and get approval does it gonna hamper the process or timeline of immigration?
3) If after marriage a child born in USA does it gonna add any exception?
4) If the process takes long time and she wished to pay visit every year (live with me for two or three month every year) does it gonna hamper the process or timeline of immigration?
extra information about the issue :
**my girlfriend is never been applied for any other person.
** She got her permanent residence or green card through her relatives ( the process were taken 12 years )
** I love her so much and want to live with her at any cost . If you have any information regarding the issues please help me. Thanks in advance.
If you get married to your LPR girlfriend the process for you to immigrate legally into the U.S will take about 2 years, you will be under the F2A category.

I can't check my visa application status either, I got my p4 letter yesterday and I was checking to see if my doc had already left the NVC

Dwheels,
Do you have any interview info for Italy for October? I saw one user from Italy with a CC on July 28 that is scheduled for October 28th.
i think our interview schedule took that long because we were waiting for an upgrade from F2A to CR1 , two days after we were upgraded we got an interview date since our case had been completed long ago.

One of them had a tourist visa (this is the one who got the A number) and the other one visited once with their Italian passport.
