Congratulations Yamen!!!! From here on out, you will be surprised with just how fast the process begins to move, as the guy from NVC told me when we got our case number, lightning quick, and he wasn't lying......fiancé already has her interview date set for March 24!!!! And to think, about a month ago the NVC didn't even receive our petition yet from USCIS CSC! Keep your Faith, Hope, & Love alive!!!

Also, are we required to send any documents to the NVC in order for them to send out packet 3? I am confused on this ?
-
Just a question about the packet 3. So, our petition arrived or was deemed "READY" on February 23, 2015. So, this means that it had arrived at the embassy. Just to get a clear understanding of what happens next. Does our respective embassy send my fiance the actual packet 3 in the mail ?
Also, about how long does it usually take to get mailed out ?
Just want to know, once the NVC sent our petition to the embassy, there is nothing for us to do except gather all the required documents necessary prior to her interview, am I correct on this ?
I just want to know if we have to do anything, notify the embassy in order to receive our packet 3?
Thank you all for your assistance and answers, truly appreciate everything!!!

as part of the I-134 affidavit of support form, did any of you include any additional documents along with it, for example tax forms, written statements, bank account information.....etc
Also, was it necessary to get the I-134 form notarized, or have the original documents required for my fiance to bring translated to English ?
thatAngela, the packet 3 form you speak of, where did you get this form from, was it sent to you by the embassy ?
-
usmsbow, so, when the embassy sent your fiancé your packet 3, what was required of them to do, so, did they receive a checklist of what documents they need to gather for their interview. I see on your timeline, that it says packet 3 received, packet 3 sent, packet 4 received. So, did they have to send back the packet 3, and if so, what did your fiance have to send back to the embassy in the packet 3 ? Also, how long did it take for the embassy to send packet 3 ?
-
Congratulations!!!!! That is awesome news!!!! God bless you on the rest of your journey in life together!!!

Update: READY!!!! WOW, that was fast, was sent last Thursday, it is already at the embassy
-
Questions: what documents as the petitioner do I need to fill out prior to the interview date ? DS-260, or affidavit of support ? Just want to know so I can fill these out and send them to my fiance
-
Update: IN TRANSIT!!!!! Finally!!!!!
-
usmsbow, quick question, so when checking your case status on the ceac website with our NVC case #, right now it says at NVC, when it is sent, what does it say, what kind of information does the site provide you when it eventually gets sent to the embassy ? Thank you for all of your help!!!
-
Sorry to hear about your unfortunate turn of events. My Senator contacted me in about week since I initially contacted her. Just keep hope & faith, and keep thinking positive & praying. It is disappointing at first to be dealt this horrible news, but remain focused, it will all fall into place.

Update: Well, it seems like snowball, once the great news starts, its just keeps rolling in!!!! Last night, I decided to give the NVC a call at around 8:00 pm EST. I was just curious to see if we were assigned our NVC case #, so why not, what could it hurt. So, after being on hold for almost one hour, I finally got to speak with Gus. Gus was very, very helpful, took all my info, and then asked me what was my question, I asked him about a case #, and he said, yes, do you have a pencil ready!!!! I was like ALRIGHT!!!! So, we were assigned our NVC case #, he gave me our IIN #, and our BIN #. I also asked, how long of a wait should we expect before our documents are sent to the embassy, he told me that judging by his experience with other visas like ours, it should be sent out with "lightning quick speed", his exact words. He should it shouldn't be long before they send it and the embassy receives it. Finally!!!! What should've been done a couple months ago is finally happening now. Thank you God, and thank you to all my fellow VJer's and all the very helpful info & insight I gathered from everyone on here. If it wasn't for this specific messageboard, I would not have known what to do in order to get things moving again. Thank you to all, and God bless everyone in their journey towards the visa & a lifetime of happiness.

Alright, congratulations Jim on the great news!!!! What a relief, I can't wait to get that news, that our petition has been sent to our embassy, then I will surely know we are past the halfway mark
-
Update: Once again, another positive & forward motion in our petition. Just got off the phone with the NVC, and finally, our petition has arrived at the NVC on February 12, 2015!!!! Don't have a case number assigned yet, and she told me it would take up to 42 days for NVC processing. I am sure that is a standard timeline they tell everyone, just like Monday when the lady said 35 days for the petition to get from the USCIS to NVC. Only took 8 days!!!!
usmsbow, I see on your timeline that it only took one day to receive your case number after NVC received your petition. Did you call them the very next day and received your case number ?
-
Very helpful, thank you so much for the info, starting to slowly feel at ease with the process, just hoping it arrives at the NVC soon, that would be a huge relief
-
Nice, thank you for the info, it really is encouraging to read this
Another thing, was there any documents that needed to be filled out once it reaches the NVC, or is that once that packet reaches the embassy ?
-
usmsbow, do you know when the USCIS sent out your petition to the NVC, and approximately how long did it take to get to the NVC ? Thanks for all of your info, it is much appreciated!!!
-
Quick question, so when the petition arrives at the NVC, do you receive any notification, email or notice in the mail ? Also, do they give you instructions ? And do they send you any notification when they send it to the embassy ?
NOA2 to NVC: Have you been waiting more than a month?
