Texas filer here... Online it says that the fingerprints were processed, but today we just got a letter today for a biometrics appointment. We have not filed for N-400. I'm not too worried about it. We're just giving other Texas filers an update... hang in there everyone!

Randomly got this email today...
-
My husband's arrived today as well!
Enjoy the holidays and see everyone in 2 years.
So while updating my timeline I just realized on this date a year ago my husband also received his visa. Hahaha wow, what a coincidence!
-
Woo hoo! It arrived today! Status online never changed. Haha. Yay USCIS. And yay no more USCIS for 2 years!
My husband's arrived today as well!

Is your card being produced yet? We're still stuck on "approved" and that seems odd to me....
We got a notification on 11/5 that the card was being produced, then it changed to "certified approval" later in the evening.
Exactly one week later I got a letter in the mail that said it was approved and would be arriving within 3 weeks.
Welp, just after I posted this I got a pre-shipping notification text from USPS. It's on its way! ? It says it will be coming from Missouri.
(I signed up for the USPS notifications that someone else on this thread recommended.)

Congrats and my pleasure! We are right on your heels-- saw today that on Nov 5, they approved our case! Not sure what the next step is... card being produced? Idk, I'm just so relieved.
Same day as us. They must have entered a whole bunch of approvals into the system that day. Ours went from card being produced to later that day saying case approval was certified by USCIS.

Woohoo! Almost 2 months after our interview, we just got a notification that my husband's card is being produced.
Thanks to my congressman's office for helping find our "lost" medical exam paperwork. Even though it took longer, I am thankful we didn't have to re-do it. Also thanks to @CatherineA for your help in contacting my congressman.
-
Anyone who has or gets the medical RFE-- I just heard back from my Congressman's office who contacted USCIS for us. They said that the RFE was sent in error and that our file has been put back in for normal processing. The exact wording of USCIS's response makes it sound like if it goes to a field office for processing, that the K1 package and the AOS package aren't sent together or something. But NOW they have the K1 package with our medical info in it so we can ignore the RFE. Saved us $500 right there. Worth it to me!
Just make sure that you are *clear* with your Congressman. Explain it in bullet points if you need to.
- Had medical abroad for K1 visa
- Packet given to CPB as required
- Applied for AOS
- Followed the instructions you see here (link to the instructions): medical was done within 12 months of filing, and DS 3025 was properly completed.
- Not sure what they're asking for. Is a paper lost? If so, do we need full medical or only vaccination supplement?
That should clear it up.
I just sent my letter and I hope I was clear enough. My letter was 2 full pages.
You're making me want to re-write it and re-send it now!
-
so you need to do an entire medical again? That's absurd they don't have your k1 stuff on file
Yes, that's what the officer said in the interview. So far I have called USCIS 3 times and spoke to Tier 2 twice. One time they said to call Customs and Border Protection. I called CBP and they referred me to the Ft. Lauderdale office which said that they do not have the package. They said that as soon as they are handed over upon entry, they mail them to USCIS. I believe CBP is telling the truth- why would they want his K1 stuff?
I'm so angry! I have called 2 doctors in my area to see about how much money this will cost and they gave me quotes between $575-$770!!! I am furious. Why should he have to redo something he already had done just because THEY lost it. I mean, I'm no doctor but I hope having the vaccines done twice isn't harmful to his health.
In the meantime, I am going to call his doctor in Costa Rica and see if they have any record of the exam done.
I almost lost it with USCIS Tier 2 officer that I talked to earlier. He basically said "this is just one of life's lesson and you will make it through this"... Talk about poor customer service.

We just got finished with our interview in Atlanta. Everything went well until we were told that they didn't have our completed medical. Actually, USCIS doesn't even have ANY of the original k1 packet. ? I'm so frustrated. I have read about this happening to others. I'm going to do some research when we get home.
-
Just got an electronic notice for an interview on September 20 in ATLANTA. I'm trying to be excited, but I was hoping we would get waived coming from a K1.
Time to start prepping!

I woke up to 6 emails from USCIS today saying that my EAD/AP card had been delivered. I received the card last Wednesday and got the texts then... I really do appreciate the emails, but 6?!
I actually got excited when I first saw the emails but I thought it was for the green card.
lol gotta love USCIS.
-
SIGH.
Once you think things are going well....
So our EAD status changed to "has been mailed to me". Yay. BUT.... last night we got an RFE for the green card. RFE for the medical exam and vaccination forms, which they already actually have or he is exempted from. I-485 instructions say if you're a K1 and had a medical in the past year, don't need a full medical with I-485. Ok. then you go to the vaccination supplement and IT says that if you had a DS 3025 properly filled out and submitted (he did) that you don't have to provide that. I'm super annoyed.
I just found out that my insurance would cover him getting all the vaccines again (third time getting childhood vaccines) and there is a civil surgeon who will transcribe them for cheap (and she is more outraged than I am at this issue and refuses to perform a new physical until we exhaust all routes getting a copy of what was already done, and knows that she shouldn't even have to transcribe which is why she does it so cheap), but christ alive! What is up with these people?
I'm not sure if it's incompetence or retaliation for putting in a service request, which is just so sad (are my government representatives less aware of how to do their jobs than I am, or are they wielding their considerable power over me out of spite).
Omg I'm so sorry! ? I think I would cry!!! I didn't get my husband on my insurance when we got married because they wouldn't let me do it without a social security number for him. I unfortunately didn't realize he should have gotten it before the I-94 expired either.
I hope the same RFE isn't coming my way too...
Good luck and keep us updated.

Is there anymore april filers out there are stuck on "fingerprint fee recieved"? I think my fellow fingerprint fee recieved people have all been approved
Meeeeee. And I just got my EAD/AP card today!
-
Just got tracking information on the USPS dashboard. My EAD was mailed today and they used a 3-day priority. Seems like it (2-day or 3-day) depends on how close you are to Kansas City, MO lol
Same again!!! Haha I live outside of Atlanta and got 2-day shipping. It's expected for Thursday!
-
Just got fancy-papered NOAs for EAD and AP.
My card shows in Tennessee as per USPS, with an expected date for this Wednesday... Can't wait!
Congratulations to everybody on your approvals... So happy!
Did you receive a tracking number? Or are you just using that "My USPS dashboard" that was recommended earlier in this thread?
I didn't get a tracking number and no packages are coming up in my USPS account.
-
EAD was mailed to me today. Nothing on USPS tracker so far, but hope to get it on Wednesday.
We also submitted the AP application last week so another round of waiting starts. Will probably still get it before our turn for GC interview comes in NYC.
My card was mailed me too today. Ours must have been in similar stacks because we got the same updates on the same dates for the EAD. I'm also hoping will be here this week!
-
Just received my green card/ permanent resident card!!!! Sooo excited and can't believe it at the same time.
No more dealings with USCIS until ROC time in 2 years!
Thank you to everyone for their help and support and to everyone still waiting, don't worry it is on it's way.
WOW! I can only hope that mine will come as fast. We have the same local office. I just got my EAD approved 2 days ago, but I see your green card was quickly approved after your EAD. Nice work, USCIS!
-
Can someone confirm that it's possible to get SSN before EAD?
Even if you are doing AOS after overstay?
You can, but only if you I-94 is not expired or within 2 weeks of expiring. My guess is that yours is already expired.
I unfortunately did not know this at the time when my husband came here in January. At that point, I was sick of reading about anything immigration after going through a year of the K1 visa process. I regret it now because he really hasn't been able to do much without it. But luckily his EAD just got approved this week.

I am having issues to login to myUSCIS. When I log in shows that the latest update was today, but when I click it says my IP is blocked.
Anybody else have this issue?
On two occasions, it's told me that my account has been locked for inactivity or entering the password incorrectly too many times (neither of which I have done)... It tells me to contact something or change my password, but I never do. I just went back in a few hours it's back up running. But that's at the log in page, not after looking at updates.
But no, I've never received an IP blocked. Try on a different browser or device to see if that does anything?

Still can't check any receipt numbers. Husband called on 7/15 and I don't think he understood what he was asking for OR what they told him. All he remembers is that something is "ready" and that it won't arrive until the end of August. So what that is, who knows. He thinks maybe it was EAD approved-- but it would have arrived by now. Is it lost in the mail? Was it GC "ready for interview" he doesn't know. He called again today. He believed them when Tier 1 said Tier 2 was having a busy day and call back tomorrow. This is insanity.
You should call yourself. My husband doesn't speak much English and I handle most of his paperwork anyway. When they ask who you are just say you're the petitioner for you husband. He has to be present to agree and state his name.
I agree with the last person who mentioned to call in the morning. However, I honestly haven't gotten any help from calling and I've called twice. They did tell me that my case was "ready for an interview to be scheduled", however our I-485 doesn't say that. Maybe that's what your husband heard?
Just out of curiosity... are you able to check your I-485? What does it say? I'm still on "fingerprints fee received" from 4/28, hoping that my interview will be waived.

At 4:00pm EST I received a text stating that a card was being produced for the I-765. WOOHOO!
I'm so excited about this wave of approvals for April filers!
-
I agree but the odd thing is that the SR for which we received the mail also shows under the case history section of I765.
So we have no idea why a response notice for a service request opened for I765, talks about I485 and that the response comes from a completely different field office than that close to our residence.
We have requested a call back from Tier2 officer for the status check of our AOS case as the receipt number is not working and we also have also have an infopass appointment for friday.
Looking forward to getting more information.
Kind regards,
ConiMoni
Good luck!!! Keep us updated.
You seem pretty calm and collected. I would be anxious and panicking.

We just checked the USCIS site and my husband's ROC was approved yesterday! Texas really is moving along finally! I think this has already been established here, but the new site and login with credentials sucks. It has never been updated for us, but when we manually enter the case number in on the normal site it shows updates.
09/24/18 - I751 filed
10/30/19 - Biometrics (originals must have expired)
12/4/19 - Case approved (no notification)
Good luck to all! So happy to be done (for now haha). Maybe we'll try citizenship soon.
