When my wife did her visa it took two weeks before the passport as delivered by 2GO.
Patience is the order of the day always during this visa process.
Thanks for sharing! Hopefully we get it 2 weeks too! lol But yes, I'll try to be more patient..
-
How long is the processing? No one knows as each case is different, you can get thousands of replies but no one can say when your visa will actually be issued.
#1 thing to do is ......... BE PATIENT. Then check the CEAC website everyday (not every hour)
Thanks for your reply Hank_! That's true.. I am glad that others had their visas issued in a matter of 3 days even, was hoping at least under a week's time but nonetheless I hope we get it by this week! This whole wait just makes u wonder too why yours is a taking a while among others...

Hello, my fiance had his interview at USEM on May 15,2015 and was approved during interview (God is good!). Upon tracking the visa, it only states this :
U.S. Department of State
NONIMMIGRANT VISA APPLICATIONReadyApplication ID or Case Number: MNLXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX Case Creation Date: 15-May-2015 Status Updated Date: 20-May-2015Your case is open. Please check your status after two business days via the CEAC launch page athttps://ceac.state.gov/CEAC/.Status has not changed since then.. Anyone with similar or recent experience of being issued a visa recently at USEM? How long is current processing time for visa issuance for the past months who had their visa? Any reply is greatly appreciated. We are hoping to get any change of status by next week maybe? thank you! -
Thank you for all the advices everyone! I will have him schedule his interview 5-7 days from medical to be on the safe side!

Hello! My fiance will be going to manila from Davao City to do medical exam and Interview. Can my fiance do his medical on a monday and schedule an interview on a friday the same week? We are trying to make use of the days he stays there because we dont have relatives at manila and the longer he stays, the more money we have to spend for his stay at manila. Is a 2 day gap okay? Any best suggestions from experience? thanks guys!!

Hello! Its been two weeks since my petition was approved April 6. I just was wondering how long is it taking for those with NOA2 recently and had NVC process their petition? I called NVC and they haven't received mine .thanks!

Hello! So my gross income for year 2014 was only $12K (earning only $2K a month) because I was only working part time and just became fulltime on february 2015 earning about $4K a month now. Do I will my CURRENT income on line 7 of the I-134 as $48K since I am earning 4K a month currently or write the annual income I had for the year 2014? thanks!!!!
-
List your current income on the I-134. Provide a letter from employer and recent pay stubs to prove your current income along with most recent tax transcript. Just use recent bank statements if you are wanting to show assets, though they are not needed if you meet the income requirement.
Your mom would state None for #10, as she did not file a petition on behalf of your fiance(e). You did.
Thank you so much for your reply! I do have an employment letter stating how many hours a week I work, my hourly pay and when I was employed. I have also printed out my monthly bank statements from year 2014 upto recent, pay stubs and w2. Hopefully this is good for proof of income!
would my mom have to fill in question number 8? Write my fiance's name then as wholly dependent or partial? and what would be his relationship to her? OR she doesnt have to fill up anything on questions 8-11? Thank you KayDeecee!

Hello everyone! I am currently filling up form I-134 the Affidavit of support as Petitioner for K1 visa. I only had the annual income of 12,990 for the year 2014 because I just started working month of August 2014 for part time (2x week) then became regular on (feb 2015). I just started working because I just had my RN license month of April 2014 and was a student before. I am now earning 4000 plus a month since Feb 2015 better than my earnings of 2000 plus a month. I just wanted to ask:
>if it would be a problem for my fiance during the interview process in manila? would they consider my case as a co-sponsor?
>I do have my mom as a joint co-sponsor just in case. And also any guides to having my mom fill up for I-134 as a co sponsor? how would she answer to question 10 (relationship)?
> also for answering deposit on savings on the form I-134 under number 7 - can it be the current savings you have at the moment you sign the fomr or should it be congruent to the amount I have when I fiance does the interview? (because sometime soon I might use some of my savings money but might have amount of atleast 3000)
I apologize if my questions would seem unintelligible. I would appreciate all the answers and help!

I received the RFE hard copy I believe 3-4 days after noticing it on the site that I was going to get and RFE. They received it on the 31rst of march and I had NOA2 just 6 days after they received my RFE. Goodluck on you journey!

Hello this happened to me for a week! When I called the USCIS number, I also got no response as to the progress of my case, states to say my case couldnt be found or that maybe I got the wrong receipt number, etc. Anyways, it did come back after a week and showed that I was going to get an RFE. Don't worry though. It happens frequently with the site based on old posts here on VJ. Good luck on your visa journey!

February filer here! Just found out that I will be receiving an RFE soon in the mail. Hoping and praying that its nothing complicated!
-
Just an update! I was able to use the website again! RFE was sent out just today.. I was sort of or lets say was expecting the RFE because of the questions I missed out to fill on the the I-29F part 2. Looking forward to the hard copy RFE and my reply to it the soonest possible
Good luck! God bless us all.

Hey there, congratulations!! Looks like we are very close in terms of dates. There's actually a thread already for February filers. The link is below. Also, it's a good idea to update your timeline to reflect your notice dates. =] Good luck!

Hello Everyone! iI sent out our I-29F petition on February 27, 2015. Just received a text today (March 9, 2015) that our petition was received, on the USCIS site it states they received our petition on March 4. Official NOA1 by mail should arrive soon.
Good luck and bless us all!

Once you get your NOA1 receipt notice, you can try sending in a corrected I-129F petition along with a copy of your NOA1 and explanation. There is no guarantee that it will be matched up with your case file, but there is a possibility. Others have had success adding documentation to their files this way, but some have not been so lucky. Cannot hurt to try though. If it doesn't find its way to your case file, then you will be able to supply the corrected form once you receive an RFE asking for it.
Thank you very much for your reply. Yes I am currently waiting for my NOA1 and have that useful in sending out my corrected I-29F petition along with a letter of explanation. I'll take your advice.. like you said : Won't hurt me to try. I'll keep my hopes up that it will be matched with my file.
Thank you.
-
No you cannot just send it and hope it'll find your original application, do you realize how many applications they get every day?
Wait to see if you get an RFE because it will come with a barcode you will need to put with the information that is required, in order for it to be all matched up properly.
I do know maam the tons of applications they receive everyday. I just wanted to try something to stop myself from the nerve wreck of forgetting to answer those simple questions. I do appreciate your reply. Thank you!

Hello I just sent out my 1-29F last friday 2/27/15 and found out that I forgot to answer part 2 questions on my petition wherein I am not in military service and did not have any convictions. It is possible to send in a new I-29F with the checked boxes for part 2? Had some of you try this and everything went well without getting an RFE? I truly appreciate the help! thanks!

For the petition phase, filing the I-129F, there is not an income requirement. Income is a requirement for the actual visa application at the embassy later. As mentioned already co-sponsors with the K-1 visa can be difficult at best, when the embassy does accept a co-sponsor with the K-1 it is usually a close relative (not sure an uncle of your fiance would make the embassy happy).
You best bet once your petition is approved would be to have a letter from your employer stating your job is permanent (even if you work short hours) and your yearly gross income, along with that keep copies of all your pay stubs. Even though you tax return (2014) will be short, a letter explaining you just completed your schooling and now working should help with that. It is possible by doing these things you will avoid the need for a co-sponsor. Working an additional job may be icing on the cake.
Thank you so much! That really helps
As stated above, $2,000 a month puts you above the minimum requirement. The fact that you didn't have a full year of earnings in 2014 isn't necessarily an issue, as current income is what matters. The confusion arises because how long you have to be working before it is treated as "current" and sustainable is somewhat subjective. The CO's discretion comes into play here. You've already got four months under your belt, and will have several more by the time your fiancé has his interview. I think you'll be fine.
Yes this was my concern. Thank you so much for your reply. This really helps!
