Status said in line for oath ceremony last Saturday and today it updated to oath ceremony letter has been mailed. Looks like things have sped up for the MN office. Or maybe they expedited it for us because we had to wait so long for approval due to our RFE.

Oooh woow...that's great! Please let us know the dates when you get the notice. My wife is still on "in line since Sunday".

If you move when and how do you notify USCIS? I went on the site and it said if you have a Myuscis account to update the address there. Where exactly do I go? Do I change it the day we move or before? Yes we will be still in MN.

You need to file the change of address immediately you move, in a perfect world the day you move.

When you log into your account...

On left top side, -click on the menu,- then forms,- then the first on the list is change of address or form AR-11.

    Good luck!

Sorry, I am using iPhone, but I dont know where the timeline is. I mean when did you file i751 and n400, how long did they take to get approval?

Try this...click on my name and when it opens up, scroll all the way down until you see timelines and photo link then click on timeline. If it doesn't open please let me know.

Basically N400 took 11 months to be interviewed but I-751 took forever from June 2017. When we called them, they said they will interview both together so my wife had to get I-551 stamp.

    Hope it helps.

  4. My wife went for her interview on 23rd. Since she had the I-751 and the N-400, the IO called me in after getting done with my wife. She asked me the same relationship questions and told me she was satisfied our marriage was genuine and she would approve both cases. Today Sunday we got notifications for both, a new card has been ordered and in line for oath ceremony! Good luck to those still waiting for their approvals.

I received my interview letter for June 17th. Do they take up your green card at that interview ? How long is it usually between interview and oath? I have a summer trip planned and I’m wondering if I need to change the dates.

Your green card will be taken when they issue you with a proof of citizenship in form of Naturalization Certificate at your oath. You will only use it at interview as a proof of your identity

Between interview and oath pretty much depends on where you live, Minnesota is roughly 1.5-2.5 months currently.

Quick question guys, if I had traveled for 2 months every year, which would add up to 10 months in total of 5 years. Would this disqualify me for naturalization?

There is continuous requirement which requires you not to be gone out of the country for more than 6 months.

The one you are asking about is physical requirement which requires you to be in the country for at least 30 months in 60 months or 5 years. You have only been gone for 10 months so you are fine.

Hi folks. Just started making a list of documents that I will be bringing to interview.

On various websites I came across people bringing driving records from DMV. Is it necessary? How many of you are going to bring it with you?

    P.S. I don't have any tickets.

It's not a must you bring these records if you don't have moving violations however, as with any other documents you are bringing along, it's always good to bring more than less. When I did mine years ago, I brought it along and he never bothered to check, my wife's interview is coming week and she will bring it along though she has no violations.

Well today I had the Oath ceremony and GLAD every thing ended after years upon waiting and struggle.  There were 1003 people attended from 89 countries. Tim Walz the governor was there gave a speech for all the citizen. I went there little early around 8.45 (appointment was at 9.45) to make sure i have parking and the ceremony actually started around 10.15 (River center St Paul) . Little bit wait but its so Worth it. They will give you the application to register to vote and the application for the passport and to make an appointment with the passport office. I changed my name and they will give you the certificate of name change with the Naturalization certification. Im glad this whole process came to an end and I wish you guys all the best. I know its killing to WAIT, but at the end ,that time is so worth the WAIT. GOOD LUCK and THANK YOU for this Thread.

Just got a notification saying that interview day has been scheduled 😃. I am waiting for them to upload the document so I can check when is the interview day. I will fill the new info in the data-sheet once I know.

How much it takes for the document to be uploaded from the time of notification?🧐

Mine has never been uploaded so that's a possibility, but the actual notification will be in the mail by coming week latest the week after.

What is the average wait time between interview and ceremony for MN? I know another VJ member who also got a RFE post interview and a week after she submitted RFE response she was scheduled for ceremony. We are still waiting to hear something. It's been 51 days since interview.

Wooow...jeeez! I think someone said it was around two months wait so hopefully you could be getting something soon
