I always thought the K3 would move faster than the IR-1. well, my husband's k-3 nevermade it to the NVC. But, his IR-1 has been completed and fwded to the embassy.

In preparation, I had sent him a neatly filed and tabbed folder of all the paperwork i did here along with "evidence" to bring to his K-3 interview.

well I guess they will never give him a K-3 interview now anyway since his IR-1 case is already at the embassy.

my big question of the day is.. will they interview differently for a K-3 interview as opposed to an IR-1?

somewhere I read that our relationship has to be continual -- well.. we have a home loan of 572,000 and a another HELOC (home equity line of credit) for 142,000. moreover, hes got 2 car loans, rental property- with another loan on it, and i can list at least 12 other places where both his and my name are on bills and other #######...car insurance, utility, electrcity, cable, 2 cell phones, american express card u name it WE got it..heck we have a child too.. hes got a florida drivers license and we both have the same address

WHAT MORE WOULD THESE MORONS NEED...?????

I mean.. if they never let him back, does he have to pay back his loans? Im willing to go back to India...

our post is madras and they already have the interview dates posted for july... so i guess it wont be july for us.

i called the dept. of state and the lady told me NOT to call madras and to only call them at the dos for progress on the case. and she said they are going to be sending ME (the agent/USC) packet 3.

I guess whenever you get a chance, call them up and see what they tell you. I asked her an approximate wait time for an interview there at madras and she said 2-4 months... i didnt ask anything further. I will call them on monday to confirm the case is there and if they have sent out the packet 3 or not..

looks like you finally got your case complete!! congratulations.

our case was complete on june 29, 2006

it was shipped out on july 5, 2006 per the automated system

it reached India on july 10, 2006 (per the DHL tracking); ours was the only case to our embassy

i got a letter from NVC on july 10, 2006 saying that our case was completed and has been fwded to the embassy.

Hope everything goes well for theboth of us.

i guess this is a question for the reply that yodrak posted.

Im the USC, and my husband is the future alien.

On our I-130 we have a rpiority date of December 23,2005.

(So if I call the embassy, what should I ask in reference to when he'll get an interview date? since there is no "waiting" for a immediate relative of a USC?)

Oh yea.. since Im the "designated" agent, will I or He(my husband in India) get packet 3?

its been 7 months and 2 weeks since me or the baby has seen our ALIEN

hey i filed a joint return too - and only i signed. my husband is the future alien. he didnt sign.

so u're safe. just one person needs to sign (the grammar they use says either or like u pointed out.. so..)

2. once processed, they will send my future alien a packet which contains:

-- some checklist

-- ? (whatever else)

****HOW LONG YOU THINK TO GET THIS PACKAGE??****

****ARE THE FORMS DOWNLOADABLE, CAN HE PREPARE THESE AHEAD OF TIME?***

3. we have already paid and submitted the IV fee bill and the I-864.

*****WILL THEY ASK FOR THESE AGAIN??****

4. ***** CAN YOU HAND DELIVER THIS CHECKLIST?

YOU KNOW WHATS FUNNY--MY HUSBAND HAS A USC WIFE, A USC SON, A SS#, A FLORIDA DRIVERS LICENCE VALID FOR 10 YEARS, A HUGE FEDERALLY FUNDED HOME LOAN, 2 CAR LOANS, AND AN AMERICAN EXPRESS CARD. SO MUCH AMERICAN STUFF--- ALL BUT A GREENCARD.. HE WAS HERE FOR OVER 5 YEARS, BEFORE THEY FIGURED OUT THAT THEY MADE A MISTAKE....AND SENT HIM BACK.. HOW CAN EITHER ONE OF US NOT LOSE OUR SANITY?

when my husband sent me the ds 230, it was on some A2 paper and it was not as "bright" as the paper we usually use..

I sent it in with no problems.

I just had the guy at Office Depot cut it down so that the length was as equal as the other papers I sent. The width of the paper sent from India was a little shorter..

Everything went fine, nothing for you to worry. Just send it.. Godspeed.

im an IR-1. does it make a difference. I guess i really cant try anything till i hear that #######;s voice saying that the case has been sent....

this is crazy.. our post has a 6 month wait supposedly.

im allready nuts.. this is adding fuel to the fire..

1. wait for operator at NVC to say that the package has been shipped off to the embassy (they might tell me what day they sent it too?)

was jsut reading all the posts..

1. i hope that since i used a downloaded form that it wont count against me (since on the IV fee bill form it says not to use any dnlded forms..)

2. well they didnt do no updating to that darn msg again today..tomorrows a tuesday.. hopefully a new better day with a new update from the NVC automated voice

I hope all the june 8th to the june 12 people hear something soon

can anyone please tell me how long is the reasonable time to wait for the interview to be scheduled by NVC. I have completed my parents case(IR5) on january, and eversince have been waiting for the interview to be shceduled. Every time I call NVC they say it depends on the consulate abroad. What is the latest that you have heard the interview has been scheduled after a case has been completed. Any advice is appreciated. please help

They received the ds 230 on june 8th, and says it was entered into the sys on june 12th.

the operator says to allow 6-8 weeks from the 8th.

so now what....

as to how it got approved fast, i got no clue.. the only things are:

my husband was here for 5.5 years before he went back. he left coz:

he got here on a k-1 visa. got divorced, but had filed a waiver, it was granted for 4 years in a row, allowing him to stay, work, and travel abroad.

well somehow he got a 2nd interview..in nov 2005. based on that K-1

there they said his I-485 was denied in 2002.coz he never filed the waiver..

well hes got it on offiical USCIS papers that it was granted, (2002, 2003, 2004, and 2005) and then I-551 stamps in his passport. dude crossed out his stamps, and told him to file an appeal, which is right now in the miami office.

my husband flew back the day after his interview.. thinking some deportation police gonna catch him. well,

no one ever came, and i filed a K-3, and I-130.

the k-3 nevermade it to the nvc, and it was approved in february 28, 2006.

so maybe these people actually realized that they botched up somewhere and is giving him a break..

Hi Pharmacist, How did your 130 get approved so fast Mine was recieved Dec. 22, 2005 and finally got our 2nd NOA May 22. 6 months! Well, we were in the Vermont so I guess that might be a reason..

Anyway, this whole visa process blows

I overnighted the ds-230 on wednesday, they got it on thursday, and on friday the automated lady said they have received what the checklist asked for, and that it will take 6-8 weeks for review, and then that I will be notified.

Now God only knows how long it will take to get an interview in Madras, India.

I HAVE YET TO FAX THEM THE APPROVAL NOTICE.

I JUST SENT OUT THE DS 230 TODAY JUNE 7.

I NEED TO GET OUT THERE AND FAX...............RIGHT.

THEY TELL ME TO CALL IMMIGRATION, AND IMMIGRATION SAYS IT WAS SENT OUT. AND IF I WANT ANY OTHER ANSWERS TO WRITE A LETTER TO THE MISSOURI SERVICE CENTER.

WELL, IM JUST HANGING ON THIS I-130 THING..

i send that iv fee bill like 3 weeks ago.

ive had a nother fellow vj-er say that all you need in the "indian" package is the ds 230 and a copy of the biographical page.

the nvc msg says" your packet of forms has been received and was to have missing or incomplete information. a letter has been sent out on may 26, 2006. if it has been 4 weeks since......"

i swear on anything holy that i filled out every single thing on that.. i won der what the heck i missed..

until ysdy the msg said ur iv fee bill has been received, and additional instructions will be sent out within the next few weeks. if it has been 4 weeks since....."

btw to any who never read, i was a little anxious( there fore the need for the valium) and sent in the ds 230, even though it hadnt been generated.. i got to call the portsomouth post office to collect that letter and mail it back to me..

and so goes the days of my lives...
