  1. It does make sense (unfortunately), the percentages are the demand for visas, not the whole number of posts. These 165 posts satisfy 85% of demand, the previous 50 handled 75%, meaning the newly re-activated posts are collectively small and handle 10% of demand.

ah ok thanks. I was thinking it was a typo or they are just feeding us numbers to make us happy :P

I did see that our case status updated today but still says Ready. Has not gone to AP yet. Interview was June 16th. Hopefully we get results soon.

  2. Technological Systems Issue
    JUNE 25, 2015

    Visa Systems Issues

    • The Bureau of Consular Affairs reports that 165 posts, representing more than 85 percent of our nonimmigrant visa demand worldwide, are now online and issuing visas.

    • Posts overseas issued more than 82,000 visas on June 24.

    • Posts overseas have issued more than 238,000 non-immigrant visas this week. For context, if systems had been operating normally, posts would have issued approximately 540,000 visas since the outage started.

    • We will continue to bring additional posts online until connectivity with all posts is restored. All posts worldwide are now scheduling interviews with applicants, including with those who applied after the systems problems began on June 9.

    • We deeply regret the inconvenience to travelers who are waiting for visas, as well as their families and U.S. businesses that have been affected.

    • We continue to post updates to our website, travel.state.gov.

Just saw this update on travel.state.gov.It might be a typo but they are saying 165 posts counts for 85% which doesn't make sense as it said 50 yesterday counts for 75%

  3. Thank God Manila is included!! Checked ceac and my status was updated june 15. I was just wondering upon tracking my passport its status has changed to 'there is no status update for the passport number submitted'which is weird. My interview was done june 9 and i believe i got approved.

It just went up today and your interview was on the day it broke so it shouldn't take too long for you. Just give it another day or two :)

  4. Hi!

My husband had his interview last week and was approved. Now I am trying to book him a flight (I am in the US and he is in Tanzania). They are now telling me that Africa has laws that restrict any "third parties" from purchasing the ticket. This means I can not purchase a ticket for him. Has anyone else experienced something like this? I feel so lost because every company is denying my payment.

    Thanks!

That could be true because of the number of scams.

  5. i864 is part of financial evidence. If that is the entire mail then that's all they want fixed. Yeah try to get them to do CC and just bring it to the embassy during the interview. They might put you under supervisor review though which can take up to 42 days depending on their load. If that's the case just send it in ASAP. CC's are happening under 30 days now and since yours is a simple check list you will likely get a very quick CC. Good luck!

  6. My case already completed and been waiting for interview schedule. However, i just received a mail from nvc saying that they just updated my email/mailing address even I did not make any change with my email or mailing address. Anyone has this issue?

I got the same mail yesterday. It was dated April 16th, 2015 so I don't think they meant to send a P4 letter because I have called after that with no dice.

  7. wow, so my case is under supervisor review because they werent generating IV fee... I was told today that it can take up to 42 days????

does that set aside normal review times?? and now I have to wait 42?

    Please dont say yes... :(

It really depends on their load. Our case was under supervisor review for 2.5 weeks and then CC. Hopefully yours will take less time because all you need is a IV fee generated.

  8. So every two weeks they schedule interviews over two days? Because they only started scheduling on Thursday and then Friday

before thursday it was a 3 week drought of almost no one getting interview appointed. I believe NVC is trying to catch up now and fill up May interview dates. Most likely they aren't done yet either, lets wait until Monday and see if there's another flood of interviews for May!!

  9. Hi faisalk! That's what I think, too. Since I filed my 2014 tax via paper instead of electronically, IRS won't process the transcript until mid-late June. So I think I will send in a copy of my tax return plus W-2s for 2014. I am also thinking about sending some current pay stubs to demonstrate my current income :dancing:

I filed paper this year too but I was able to get a 2014 tax transcript online couple weeks ago. I got it just in case I get a checklist. Have you tried to get it on the IRS website?

  10. Guys, finally I get 3 n/a on our ceac. AOS changed to n/a today. But new n/a is not highlight as others 2 n/a. Is this normal? I read on this forum that 3 n/a means case complete right? If it is sooo I m sooo happy that I don't have to wait another crazy 60 days! Thanks! :) :)
