  1. Hi Everyone,

I called NVC yesterday and found out we got a case complete (yay!) and an interview date of March 16th. I haven't received the e-mail confirmation yet informing me of the interview date however was informed by NVC staff person that it would be sent out within a week. For those of you who have also had your case complete and received an interview date, is it advisable to begin the process of having my spouse obtain his medical or should we wait till we get the official interview date e-mail?

    Thank you.

  2. Day 56 at NVC and becoming very impatient :( ...Does anyone know if 60 days really means 60...or can it go beyond that ? I'm just hoping we don't get a checklist because that would be a real setback. It doesn't help either that this week NVC has been impossible to get through to. Lines are always busy, but this week in particular I haven't be able to get through to them no matter what time of day I call.

  3. I also sent everything together in one package and found that it helped moved things along faster. When I called NVC the agent also advised me to send everything in one package since I had everything ready. It's helpful to call them at least once or twice a week despite the 30 minute wait for someone to come to the line because they give you an update with specific dates on when you can expect the next thing to happen.

  4. Hi Everyone,

I just submitted the DS 260 online yesterday (1/5/15) on behalf of my husband. NVC received our documents package on 12/11/14 and this package included all financial as well as supporting civil documents. I was wondering if anyone went about the process the same way we did and knows how long it would take NVC to review DS 260 and give an interview date since at this point we have no other documents to send, and hopefully we don't get any requests for corrections or further info back?

    Thanks a bunch.

  5. Hi everyone,

I have a question and hoping you all could give some feedback. I applied for a spouse visa (I'm the US Citizen/Petitioner). I paid my Affidavit of Support fee and mailed off in ONE package the i864ez, financial documents, AND supporting documents (husband's birth certificate, passport copy, marriage certificate, etc. etc...). I received an email confirmation from NVC today that they received my documents and it will take up to 60 days for them to review it. It appears that others on this forum and online sent the financial documents (i864) and the other supporting documents in two separate packages at separate times. Question is..since I sent everything in one package when will I be able to pay the IV application fee online (it hasn't been posted yet) and when do I fill out the IV application online? Would it be after the 60 day time review period..or I can do it sooner? Thanks a bunch!

  6. Hi Everyone!

This is my first time using this website but everyone on here sounds super helpful and I'm hoping your knowledge and experience can help me out a bit. I filed an i130 for my spouse in August 2014 and am currently at the NVC stage of the process. I haven't seen many resources on the web for interview questions and I would really like to hear from people here who have actually had their interview already and could share actual questions that were asked of the beneficiary so I can prepare my husband. The sample questions I've seen on the web so far are either too specific or too broad. It would be nice coming from someone who has first-hand knowledge (e.g. has already had their interview and been approved). Thanks so much!
