  1. Hi,

I am about to file for AOS. I have a son with severe autism who will most likely never work. As he applying for AOS along with me, is this an issue. I currently meet 250% of the federal poverty level so I can show that I will support him and to date we have not requested any public assistance. Can we go ahead and file or do I need any specific documentation. All I can find seems to relate to AOS for the primary requester which would be me and not for dependents.

    Thanks

  2. hi

I know this has been addressed here - http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/493702-expired-passport-during-aos-interview/ but I'm not sure if this is definitive or not

mine and my wifes passport are current, but my 17 year old daughter's passport has expired and I need to know if there are any issues anticipated with arriving at the biometric appointment with her expired passport. She cant get a state ID without a current passport either so the only ID is the expired passport. I phoned USCIS and was told that I needed a current passport. I asked my lawyer who told me I didn't and then I phoned USCIS again and was told I didn't need it current. I have applied for a new passport, but my country takes up to 8 months to issue it so it could be a problem

    does anyone have similar experiences?

    Thank You
