I am curious what the outcome was as I just got my police check and I checked 35, emplyment/visa outside australia, and dont really have time to get another one.....worried now

I ended up ordering a new one without fingerprints and it came within a week. I only showed them my second police check without fingerprints not the one where i checked 35, so I'm not quite sure what would happen if you took the 35 certificate..

Just got the best christmas present - green card arrived in the mail today!

OMG!!! Just woke up to a notification "we approved your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status".

This is crazy! From what I could tell, it said on the long island time lines that it was around a year wait for I-485.

I was going so absolutely insane waiting for my EAD now I don't even need it I guess?

Hopefully they make the card and send it out quickly and this isn't an error lol

That happened to me too. Most Printers will have a setting to print in black and white so i was just able to set my printer up to B&W and it was fine

Am I the only one who has had no update since my biometrics 2nd of Nov! No ready for interview update, no EAD/AP , No RFE (don't want it but hey atleast I know someone is working on my case).. Am slightly worried *sigh*

I had my biometrics on the 9th of November and haven't heard anything since. I know it's still within the normal timeline but some kind of update would be nice. I've been in the states since the start of August and its getting really depressing sitting around all day not being able to work, not being able to do any thing fun either because I'm not making any money. Husband is stressed because he has to do so much overtime. Really hoping EAD is approved in the next few weeks..then hopefully i can find a job straight away

I didn't use a plastic bag for my photos in my K1 or my recent AOS application, i just used a bulldog clip and clipped it on the application.

Attended my Biometrics today and was in and out within ten minutes!

Can't believe how quick and easy that was, hopefully my work auth comes through ASAP because i want to start working!

All you need to do is;

1. pray and ask God to give you the patience you need for the remaining part of the journey.

2. you need to wait for mails from USCIS instructing your on the next steps.

3. you could also look for fellow October filers here on vj and you can keep track of your application time frame by comparing with others.

Since you are K-visa your are likely not to have an interview. Just sit back relax and let it playout.

So I have been here in New York (Long Island) for over 2 months now after arriving on the K1 visa.

My Husband and i were married two weeks ago and I just sent off our AOS today.

I am just a bit anxious hoping that I got everything right - Can anyone tell me which field office/service centre would process my application so I can track the waiting time?

Also what is next? Do I just sit and wait for my NO1?

I sent in my application for EAD too so hopefully that doesn't take too long!!

I waited till I got my NOA2 then applied for my police cheque. I initially did a fingerprint check but I filled it out wrong and sent another one - just a name check.

The name check came within a week and the fingerprint check came in about 30 days. I only used the name check for my interview and that was fine.

Thats what happened to me. I had not made an account however I had to click the 'forgot password' link - seems to be happening ALOT on the Aussie travel docs website must be some kind of error. Either that or NVC created an account for me when i gave them my email address?

It took me 2 and a half weeks from my NOA2 for NVC to receive my case if i remember correctly. However it took them ages to send it to NVC, after they had sent it to NVC to took like a week or so to receive my case number

Phone records, Facebook messages, What apps etc. However you communicate - that's all great evidence of an on going relationship

I had my interview recently and they emailed me a scanned copy of my application with the checklist

Entry record, used to be a white paper you get on entry but now it's all digital.

In the old days the i94 was a record of your arrival/departure that they'd give to you at your POE. These days it's all entered into an electronic database you must retrieve yourself. This is an important document that will have every single time you've ever entered the US, and will offer proof when you need to AOS, get an SSN, even obtain healthcare.

I had my interview last week and was approved.

I originally did a fingerprint check but I realised I didn't do a 'full disclosure' so I applied again for just a name check. I didn't receive the original incorrect fingerprint check for over a month and a half whereas I received the name check within 3 business days.

I only included my name check in my documents that I brought with me to the interview and I had no issues.

Obviously every CO is different so i don't know, you may want to do the fingerprints just to cover your bases - thats up to you.

LOL Yuna!! So true. But now apparently it shows when it's at NVC or when it leaves. I think they fixed the system... for now... I think they've finally stopped sending me letters, too. Maybe it was the NVC email update that came TWO MONTHS late, lmao!! They were probably like "oh, we sent her the standard 10 mailings already AND an email update 2 months later, so we're good for now."

Also- s_kimberley, call your consulate. I wouldn't do anymore email transactions or confirmations without calling them first because you never know! It probably is them trying to reschedule, but unless you can't contact your consulate, it's better to call them to confirm. No one here can tell you because your individual case is different than others, so I'm sure it IS possible to have to reschedule, but it's best to call them to find out.

So i just got a weird email from the traveldocs website saying that they would reply to my enquiry within two business days - but i didn't send an enquiry.

They also sent me an email saying they had to reschedule my visa interview (to later on the same day).

I replied confirming that i can attend the rescheduled time and i figured the first email was just a glitch.

I should also mention my travel docs account has no information on it. I have paid my visa fee and have my interview scheduled but none of this is shown on my traveldocs account.

Is this normal?

Are they likely to reschedule me again? Its pretty tight time wise now with my flights as it is with the new appointment time..

Just try clicking the 'forgot password' link. I swear i didn't already have an account but when i did this and "reset" my password it worked for me... (hope that made sense)

Yes, that is weird! But good that you can log in now It took me ages to remember that I used ustraveldocs for my J1 and requested the password. I thought there was just something wrong with the website.

Ok so literally just after i type my last reply i took your advice and requested my password to be sent.

But i am just confused as to how i already have an account with my current email address and I absolutely had not created my current email account when i applied for my previous visa in 2011.

Weird right?

Anyway i guess i can complain as i can log in now - i just think its really strange..

A few years ago I applied for a J1 visa but I'm not sure if i used traveldocs website. Also at that time i had a different email address and the only details i am entering are my email address, surname and first name so i wouldn't have thought the sight would recognise me considering I am entering a completely different email address..

I have no access to my old email account so i am a bit concerned as to how i am going to retrieve my possible old account/ create a new one
