here is what i was told the reason that a visa was not granted. He doesn't believe my fiance intend to come to America to be with me. He may think that because her brother in law is my best friend which is probably a red flag to him. I wanted to tell him how else could i have known her? We have known each other a little less than 2 years and have visited two times (total 2 months and half) and attended the interview with her. We have lots of evidences such as pictures, air line tickets, hotel receipts, etc...So as of right now i am planning to refile, but from what some of you are telling me, i might have to reconsider refiling K1 and go a different route. What do you guys suggest!!!

yes i have done all that, reading on stories after stories and have lots of evidence. The consulate asked us why we have so many pictures? I was dumbfounded by that comment. I guess there is such thing as too much evidence of our relationship.

i have visited her two times now and stayed with her more than 2 and half months,which is long then most people who go visit 3-4 times. So are you suggesting that i should file a spousal instead of refiling as fiance?

Unfortunately our fiance interview did not go well, she got denied a visa and so was everybody else who filed as fiance or marriage that day. I did everything i was told to do through this site but it didn't seem to matter to the consulate who interview us in Cambodia. Cambodia is a blacklist country and its very hard to get approve if you are applying for K1 visa for the first time or even second. I have to congratulate those who passed on their first try. It seems to me that they have already made up their mind about who will get a visa before you even step to the window for the interview. I am very disappointed with the decision but there is nothing we can do about it now but to refile. So I'm in a process of refiling it again and my question is, will it be shorter this time around for the application to process? First time it took her 10.5 months to get an interview. I hope it doesn't take that long again. I've talked to some people who also was at the interview and they told me that they have been interviewed 3-4 times already, but i did not ask them how long it took them to get each interview. I just hope it wont be too long because waiting really sucks!!!

I want to know what are my options when a packet 4 that i expecting has not arrive yet and i am leaving to see my fiance tomorrow. I was told that i cannot go to the interview without the packet 4 letter, Is this true? Are there any other ways i can get around this? When i booked my flight, i did not know whether i would be able to stay around for the interview with my fiance, then i checked the website and it shows the date when her interview will be. When i saw the date, i knew i had to extend my stay so i can go with her, now im worried that the letter will not be here by tomorrow before my flight. I know I can probably get my relatives to send me the letter when it does arrive but i m just afraid it might be lost in the mail going oversea. So are there ways around it? Canceling my flight is not an option because i have already paid extra just to extend my flight and i want to spend as much time with her as possible before the interview and i have to be back in the states soon after the interview.

I am confused as to which application i need to fill out for affidavit of support for my fiance. I am being told differently each time i asked someone and just wanted to make sure i fill out the right one. I will have my brother as co-sponsor because my income is not sufficient. Please help..

I am a business owner who took over a business two years ago and the business has not made any money, in fact I lost money when I filed my tax return last year. The question I have is, Does the rule apply for business owner the same as those who are working? I am concern at the interview that my fiancé will not be approve due to this issue because I can't show on my tax return that the store is making money. Hopefully the business will pick up but in the meantime I don't know if I should get a co sponsor or I will be ok as long I as my bank stamens shows that I have some money. Please help because my fiancé interview will be here soon and don't want her to worry about it.

Question on the DS-160.

When they ask for information on person1 and person2, is Person1 your fiance and person2 is me or it does not matter? I was a bit confused.

So i should wait to get a letter from PP embassy to fill out the DS-160 form? Im afraid that the letter might not get to her. Will they notify me and then i notify her about the letter? In Phnom Pehn its not easy to find out an address. Most houses there don't have a street address and as for her i don't think where she stays has an exact address address. When i send something to her, the post office would have to call her to come pick it up.

I am a US citizen and don't have birth certificate from my country of origin which is Cambodia. I am worried that i need to have one. Anyone who if i need one or not since i am already a US citizen a long time ago?

I forgot to mention that all of our family documents were lost or burned during the war.

Received a text today to my surprise telling to go check my case, it was APPROVED!!! I'm very excited after a six and hour months of waiting. So this is my second NOA and just wonder what should i expect next and how long before my fiancee gets her interview??

Yes it has been more than 6 months of waiting. Last time i called them, i get only autmated service. I will try to call them again tomorrow and hopefully i get to talk to a real person

I was looking around on this site and came across the processing time for each service center. What does it mean when it says Unapprove Petition? Does that mean my petition wasnt approve? If so why havent i got any notice in the mail telling me what was wrong. I hope i am wrong about this. Someone please tell me what this mean...Been waiting too long and.

Im not sure how long it takes to setup the interview after NOA2.Right now i am just waiting for NOA2, because im pretty close to that 6 months time frame. I am planning on going back this May and it would be really nice if she has interview sometime when im there. As far as going with her to the interview, it would be nice if they allow that. Im not sure it that is allow. Anyway how about u? U going to visit her anytime soon?
