  2. Hi everyone!

Almost a month when my son and I went to for our IV interview... I already posted it here the day after. If you remember after the interview the woman consul told me my son is may have a claim to a u.s citizenship... I was not completely happy because they wouldn't deliver my visa until my son issued a passport. I know I should be happy because my son is entitled to an automatic citizenship but my worry was how long the whole process would take to end... we both want to be with my husband so badly that's why I felt this way...

After two weeks from our interview we went back to u.s embassy in ACS section to submit the documents they asked for my son. They examine me four times with three different examiner and the last who examined me was the consul. In second examined, I was waited for two hours to be called again and I thought everything was fine because he asked me to pay the passport and for registration... after 30 minutes he called me again and asked the receipt. I was myself calm until I heared him saying I'm not yet finished with you... I still have need something and these are: old passport of applicant parent with stamped prior to and time of conception, family photos and applicant growing up photos... grrrr... mixed emotion.... I was almost collapsed and maybe due to hunger and lack of sleep too... my heart was really wrenching but I tried myself to calm down because I was with my son until I heard my son's name again... for the last examiner and the consul explained and gave me the letter for the next appoinment with the list of additional documents... We were on the car on our way home that I can't hold anymore my tears until I was talking with my hubby over the phone and telling him why... why... why... I'm sicking tired already and I heard him keep on telling me pls. calm down... don't let me worry here... I know... I know... so I said ok I'll talk to you later when I'm okay already...

A week after we went back again to u.s embassy brought with the documents they needed. Get a number and wait to be called... now I learned expect nothing and relax... after 30 mins. our number called and the examiner asked me where and when did our first met, where is your husband now and where in u.s...then after I answered he told me to take back a sit and wait to be called again. In 10 mins. the consul called us and asked some questions like when was my conception time and months of pregnancy. I said started on september then he said no if we follow the passport its october. I was not shock because I knew it he will question me about the sept. stamped w/c my hubby himself does not know why he had it because he came here month of june. Then I was calmly asked him, if I can show him something to prove that my hubby was with me before the time of my conception until my due time. Like receipts, bank statement, return checks, deed of sale with my hubby signatures and dates. But he concluded to say I was sorry because it doesn't hepls... grrrr... even some of those are notarized... so I asked what we gonna do now? The last thing he said is to undergo DNA test both my hubby and our son for proof of parentage... grrrr.... more money and more time to spend again and again waiting for we don't know how long... grrrrr.....

Thanks for reading..... Help us pray guys....advice and same experience appreciated....

  5. Hi everyone!

Just want to share these... Our interview scheduled yesterday april 3, 6:30am. We arrived there 5am then we went into the line at 5:30am coz' we looked a place where to park. At 6:15 we're already inside the u.s embassy. We got our number at 7am. Our no. called at 8:30am for our pre-interview to a filipina woman. She asked me so many trick questions, I think it was about 25 questions including my son's case. She asked our wedding photos w/c I don't have. I show her our family photos in diff. occassion instead. Here are list of docs I submitted:

    1. Latest tax return and W-2

    2. Our family photo album

    3. All remittance ( western union, LBC, fedex, phone bills)

    4. Letters and cards

    5. Hospital B-certificate of my son knowledged by his father

    6. B-certificate of my son from our local registrar office

    7. Adoption Decree

It was a long conversation it took 30 mins. I think. Because she thought my son is our adopted. I answered quickly no ma'am he is our natural son. I gave to her all evidences, then she read the adoption decree stating is to legitimate his status and allow my son to use the surname of his father since he was born before we got married and also, during his birth, my husband's marriage to his former wife has not yet been dissolved. To make it short, she said, he may have a claim to u.s citizenship.

9:20am our no. called again for our interview to a consul woman. Some of previous question repeated. She was very nice to me. She smiled every after I answered her question, I smiled too and it lessen my nervous.

It took only 5 mins... When he looked at my son's docs she asked me if I did went to ACS I answered no ma'am. And I heared this again... your son may have a claim to u.s citizenship. Ok I'll do it for you. She went to ACS and waited for her about 20 mins. When she came back smiled again and she said ok still have many things to fix because we have to see first our legal expert regarding this matter. Will call your no again at other window.

After 5 mins. our no. called again. A filipina woman explained everything I need to know... To make the story short she said you can pay this in Delbros ( she gave me the pink slip) but before you go there you have to pass at ACS (American Citizen Services) first to checked the result of these ( she gave me 221g form noted my son may have a claim to U.S citizenship). Thats it result is positive... ACS gave me a form registration and for his passport application that has to sign by my husband. So I have again to go in process for my son. Met all requirements and come back to U.S embassy. My worry is how long these process would take until they grant a U.S passport to my son... If anyone here knows please let me know...

Am very thankful of these forum because guys all your experiences and advices helped me a lot... and hope my experienced could help others too.
