  3. The Paris embassy can be a little slow because they are taking care of Portuguese cases http://france.usembassy.gov/ivisa/announcement20120223.html (my fiancé and I used to work there) but don't worry I'm sure the packet is on its way! I didn't hear everything but the guy was applying for a different visa and he said his situation was complicated... It made me panicking because we were only 3 people left in the consulate waiting for our turn but we were all approved! so lets not focus on this I'm sure you'll be fine ;)

Thanks you so much, we are so relieved to be done with the whole K-1 process. It's been a long, emotionally draining year for all of us but it was soooo worth it. I cannot wait to get in a plane and move on with our lives :)

Best of luck ya'll I'm sending positive vibes your way!!!

After coming back home yesterday I had the good surprise to find out my packet 3 waiting for me :D

  4. Thank you both!

It took about 11 days for me to receive the Packet 3 in the mail, have you tried contacting them? I sent them an email because I had no idea if the packet was going to be sent thru email or postal mail. they responded within 15 minutes.

I actually just left a review for the consulate here: http://www.visajourney.com/reviews/view-dos-cis-reviews.php?entry=16724

here's a copy and paste for ya:

"My appointment was scheduled at 1pm, I showed up at 12:45 and was able to walk in.

The security was friendly as always but the person who was in charge of gathering all my documents (window 5) was not friendly AT ALL, I even heard people complaining of her attitude. She didn't want my affidavit of support and any other proof of relationship, then she told me that the photo ID were not printed on the right paper which is false, I had them printed at a photographer...

I was told to sit down and wait to be called for the interview. (waited 4 hours and a half..) I was interviewed by a different person (a very nice one this time) and only ask me 3 questions: "Where did you met?" "How many times did you saw each other?" "Have you every been to the U.S?" and to finish "Congratulation your interview went well smile.gif the interview probably lasted less than 5 minutes. (BTW I asked her if my photo ID were acceptable, she said they were fine...)

It was stressful because the waiting felt endless and there was a guy right before me who got denied and started freaking out.. BUT I'm really happy and relieved.

Sorry If the review sounded whiny but this is my honest experience. "

Let me know if you have more questions.

    Thanks for your answer!

I did email them two weeks ago and they answered that I would get instructions as soon as possible. Without telling me that my file was being taken care of or anything. Anyway I just emailed them again.. We'll see!

Any idea whhy the guy in front of you got rejected? :o

  5. Hellooo

Alors, alors ?

  6. Oh, he seemed very clearly to be referring to I129F petitions. I presume specifically those like ours, where the consulate assigns an interview date, rather than those that stay at NVC for the interview appointment to be made. Some of them spend longer at NVC for this part of the process and are quicker at the embassy. Our embassies both take over the work on our case as soon as we have a case number and other related references assigned.

Apologies for the ambiguity in my last post.

Ah ok I see :) No apologies needed

Did any of you already payed the fees? I'm not sure at what point I should do it.

  7. Ohhh my case is in transit! Yaaay! It was so fast :D

I filed mine too, but after I knew it was sent to the consulate. Do you get denied or something if you fill it too soon? :\

After all I got a fedback from someone who did the same and got his visa so I guess and hope it will be okay!

    Cheers

Super, Merci beaucoup pour ta réponse!

Tu doit etre aux anges d'etre si pret du but! :D

  10. Hi, thank you. I should have quoted to avoid confusion.

Yes, I entered it as Immigrant. I do think it is just a matter of being a bit early so will leave it a day and see.

I realized you were talking about the DS160. I seem to recall reading it accepts both. I put in the SRC number yesterday because I didn't have the London number. I will try it and see what happens.

    Thanks for the tip.

Thanks. Did you try yours yesterday when you got it (on CEAC) or did you just enter it today for the first time?

I only tried today. I guess you'll see in the next couple days about yours
