  1. My father 's case one month slower than my mother 's case ,my father 's case sent to Nvc on May 22,I paid my mother 's Aos fee on June 8,I just paid my parents IV fee on July 5,now I checked the website, both IV fee is paid, my mother 's Aos fee is paid, but my father 'AOS fee is "not paid ",what do I need to do?Do I need to pay ?

If it is not paid then you have to pay it again. Unfortunately NVC doesnt give any refund in case the fees was paid and it turned out to be a system glitch. I suggest call nvc once, they will ask to pay it again only. But talk to them just for the sakes.

  2. Hello..

Im petitioning my daughter.. If I have zero income bec im a fulltime mom.. But my husband and I file taxes together.. Is his income is my income too.. Its household income.. But his income is still insufficient..

Does he still need to fill I864A? or not anymore

And just... I864 for me and I864 for co sponsor?

I have the same question. My petitioner does not work but she and her spouse fill taxes together. So, the income has been mentioned on the latest 3 years tax returns column and her spouse has filled i864A. Are we on the right path? My petitioner has filled i864 and her spouse has filled i864A but in both the forms income tax return is the same as both file jointly. And her son is co- sponsor for us.
  3. Read the info directly from the US Embassy New Delhi website: http://newdelhi.usembassy.gov/visas.html. It specifically says non-immigrant visa appointments for June 22-26 are cancelled. Deosn't affect immigrant visa appointments (although they probably won't be able to print those, either).

They are going to take interviews for immigrants, but it will cause delay in Visa printing. Hoping it is solved in next week.

  4. I booked an appointment by phone for City center Apollo Hospital at Ellisbridge, Ahmdabad for 20th June.

    - Our interview is 31 July so the lady on phone insisted that don't get it done so soon as it is valid 6 months only. I told her we will travel to USA in 3 - 4 months time.

    - Then she booked for 8 AM even when I was requesting around 9-10 AM as we have to travel from another place 150 Kms away. She was adamant and said they will not be responsible for later time if the doctor goes away and your medical is not done !

    - She took everybody's name and contact information ( phone no) and dictated all the things that we need to bring. Following is the list she asked us to bring -

    1) Original passport + 2 photocopies

    2) Interview letter + 2 photocopies (so that makes it 3 copies). It is okay to take a print out of email P4 letter.

    3) Photographs - 6 (indian style passport photo with white background - I am a little unsure about this so I am going to carry both indian style as well as USA style i.e 2*2 white background)

    4) Previous medical records, vaccination records for child + 2 copies of vaccination records.

    5) Black pen

    6) USA address - The address where we will go once we are in USA.

Then she said this list is for each person. So everyone carry their own pens :)

Also I asked if we get the reports same day. She said if everything is normal in the test results, adults can get report on same day but the report for child will be available on Monday i.e. after one working day ( Don't know why - Kids don't need blood tests and x rays)

    Hope this helps !

I too booked at City Centre Apollo on 27th june, IW 23rd july. Ur right we have to carry 6 indian style photographs but we are going to carry both.

  5. Thanks destroyed92...

Can you tell me one thing, That file mention that the Applicant must take DS-260 Confirmation page to the interview. Now my uncle has 3 Confirmation page of DS-260, one for each family members. So, what he should do? Take all 3 DS-260 confirmation page?(I believe thats what he needs to do) or just principal applicant's Confirmation page?

    Thank you.

All the three beneficiaries DS260 confirmation has to be taken to the interview. Not just principal applicant's.

  6. Hi Aria,

Can I know if your process was completed and how long it took to get the interview date....?

My Priority date is also Nov - 2001 , I just got my NVC case completed on 31-Mar -2015 , I had processed it late im waiting for inteview schedule just wanted to know how long i will have to wait.

    Regards,

    Janan

Ur PD got current a long time ago, so i guess you will receive interview this time for sure.

Call NVC on monday and ask for the date, they will give it surely.

  7. Hello all,

    Petition Date: 16 Sept 2002

    Approval Date: 13 Aug 2009

    Visa Current(approx): 10 July 2015

    CSPA Age(approx): 20 years 2 months.

The petition is for my father from my aunt(F4) and fees has been paid for my parents however my name was not included so could not pay the fees on CEAC website. We have emailed the NVC but it says you will have to wait for reply and it was in November. Now it's certain that my name wont feature in the interview as well and I cannot do medical and other process to follow. The website shows my parents status as completed and fees as paid. How does it work from here? Was the fees payment a important process that we missed for me? Other than the birth certificate, passport and the application what else determines the eligibility for CSPA? Lots of questions but lots of worries too!! Thanks...

First of all, you cant pay fees as your name is not there so you didn't miss any chance, don't worry. My PD is 13th sept 2002 and my name is also not there so didn't complete any of my process. Now, NVC replies to us saying that there is no visa number available and the decision will be taken at the time of parent's interview.

The visa officer determines our CSPA age at the time of our parent's interview, and after that he issues our interview letter to our parents, this is what happened to some of my friends. After that our IV fees and DS260 will be invoiced so fill it up complete the medicals and appear for the interview after a week. So, don't wry if we are eligible under CSPA, we will get visa.

  8. Hi there,

I am petitioning my father. He submitted and completed his online DS 260 application, however, he did not print or save the confirmation page that he is suppose to bring at the interview. We tried going into the ceac website to print it, however, we are unable to because it is locked. He also doesn't have anything on this email. Has anyone ever experienced this issue? Is there any alternative? they won't even let him in the u.s. embassy without it. Please help. This is really causing my father to stress out, he already has health issues. Please help!

Nvc emails the confirmation of ds260 as soon as ds260 has been filled. It is in the form of pdf file that contains the confirmation.

He might have received on the email id that has been originally registered.

  9. Does anyone have any information they can provide on this? We did receive case numbers from the NVC and paid the affidavit of support fee, but we are still confused about the actual form I-864ez. The instructions say we must wait for it to be mailed to us, but I've read elsewhere that we should fill it out online so it will create the barcode, then print it and give it to the immigrant. Any ideas?

    Thank you very much!

Download it from the USCIS website. Fill it in the computer and print it. All the best.

  10. My usa immigration interview experience at Mumbai consulate:

    Details:

    Priority date : 4 apr 2001

    Interview date : 25 jan 2013

    Preference category: f4

We (me, my parents and my brother ) reached at consulate at 5.45 am. We were made to stand in the queue at about 6:30 am. There were two ques one for the Immigrant and the other for the No-Immigrant Visas. (student visa ,visitor visa , b1 ,b2 )

My brother was standing on other side of the road because his name was missing in appointment letter.

After 5-10 minutes , 2 vfs guys check bar-coded sticker with the help of tablet and scanner of non-immigrant visa applicants. And also told all immigrant visa applicants to hold their appointment letter in hand .

Then at sharp 7.00 am we were allowed to enter into consulate. There is sitting arrangement outside the security room’s door.

After 2 minutes we were allowed inside into the security check room, where we were asked to put all the bags, files, watches, wallets and also the sweaters and jackets into a plastic basket which they gave for a security scanning.

After the security check we were sent to waiting area , which is located at main entrance of the consulate. after 2 minutes we enter into consulate .a window no.16 one lady stuck 2 stickers of token no on my mom’s appointment letter.

There are two series of token numbers. One starting with letter I and the other with S.

After that we were made to sit in the chairs arranged in front of the 16 counters (where the interview would be conducted).

At 7.45 am , our token no displayed on big screen .we went to window no 4. Young Indian lady was there behind the glass.

Indian officer : Give me your appointment letter. I gave i/l .then she asked for passports . I gave passports. Then she gave us our original documents back which we have submitted to NVC.

Indian officer : In which language you want to give your interview.

    My mom : gujarati.

Indian officer : Give me mam’s birth certificate(photocopy) , pcc and medical report. I gave all documents .

Then she asked for my dad’s birth certificate (photocopy ), pcc , medical report.i gave all documents.

Indian officer to me :you are over 21 , so your case is closed. However there is a law called CSPA. i will count your CSPA age and I will let you know if you are eligible or not.

Then she asked for I-864 and I-864A of petitioner and co-sponsorer .i gave .then she asked for one photocopy of I-864 of co-sponsorer.i gave.

Then she started questioning my mom .

Indian officer : who is calling you mam to united states ?

    My mom : my sister.

Indian officer : what is she doing there ?

    My mom : job

Indian officer : how long she has been living there in united states ?

    My mom: 25 years.

Then she instructed my mom and dad to put their hand on scanner for finger prints

Left four fingers > right four fingers > two thumbs.

Then she told me to wait .she closed window .after 15-20 minutes she called me and asked for my birth certificate , pcc and medical . I gave. Then finger prints .

Then she gave me two form to sign .

    1. For u.s military selective service.( it is only for male b/w 18-25 )

Then she told me that you have to register at near by post office for us military within one month when you go to states. I saw that from glass..to my surprise there was not my cspa worksheet..( i think my age was locked when we paid fees and submitted ds-230 in 2010.)

  11. Will there be any retrogression looking at the current movement. This time its 6 weeks for sure. And october-november-december people have just strtd receiving COA. And have heard that there are less cases from July 2002 onwards. What do you guys think will there be any retrogression?

He tried many times .. but call didn't go through ... he tried early morning .. late night .. but its always busy or the IVR disconnects him when it asks to press 3 to talk to representative.

Though I doubt anyone will get interview date with PD in august. Maybe next month they will get the letter or email.

Try calling them again and ask abt the interview again.

  12. Hie, I received checklist of AOS yest but it said that you meet minimum qualifications for visa interivew. However, there are minor mistakes which needs to be corrected and sent to the main applicant so that he/she can carry to the interview and not to NVC. They also said not to send to NVC as it may reopen our case and cause delays. So, does it mean my case is complete? I called NVC and they said "it looks" complete. We don't need any more docs from you, thats what they said. Can anyone throw some light in this.?

    Thank you.

  13. Hi all F4's

I just had my interview on 13th march 2015. All went well and visa was approved. This is how it went.

Our time was 09:30 am . But we reported at 0800 and to our surprise we were escorted directly inside.

So advise everyone is to reach an hour earlier than time given.

After security check was done, an Indian lady escorted us to the immigration visa section. For visitor and student visa there is a different section.

We were made to sit and the lady asked each one of us( I, my wife &my son) to arrange documents in following order.

    1. Interview letter

    2. DS 260 conformation letter

    3. PCC

    4.Medical reports(Without CD)

    5. Copy of Marriage certificate(Separate copies are needed for Husband & wife)

Then My wife who is principle beneficiary was asked to get the Token from the window.

After our token was displayed we all went to the respective window where an Indian lady asked for our passports(Last previous passports if any are also taken)

She took our medical reports, PCC, Copy of birth certificate and copy of marriage certificate(Separate copies are needed for Husband & wife).

She gave us back all the original documents submitted with NVC.

My son was told that he should not marry before getting GC and will have to enroll for Military services.

We were again told to wait for our token no. to display.

After display we went to the window where we were greeted by an American CO. First all of us were made to read the oath bu raising our hands.

He started by asking my son what he was doing in India. How old he was. What was calling him. What she(petitioner) does. When she last visited India. How may children she has.

Then he asked my wife how her sister first went to USA. Then he asked me what I do in India. Then for a few minutes he started searching on his computer and finally he declared that our

visa are approved and will get your passports from your specified pick-up location within a couple of days. We were given a sheet of paper stating we will have to pay $165 for each person

    before coming to USA.

We all said a big Thank You and left.

The whole process took us less than 2 hours from entry.

Advise : Please take enough copies of all documents as inside cost of one page photocopy is $1(Rs.64). Also keep coins (change) as they ask for exact amount. Nothing less or more.

Thanks all F4's for your valuable updates and advise.

Thank you for sharing ur experience. All the best :)
