Hi all.

Perhaps I am wrong (don't think so though), but there seems to be ac*really good* serial troll hanging out in the K1 forums. I really don't want to call the folks out (in case I am wrong) other than to say it statrted with Mischui (?) and his thread of being soooo sad, and sooo in-love with his girl in China (he was busted as a troll by Shonjave). Aussiewench may remember him too...anyway, almost everyday there is a new poster with a similar tale, and very similar writing style. He will usually make the post and just disappear, or maybe respond once or twice and disappear. Also, he/she is much more intelligent on the immigration process than what he presents.

I'm sorry, but this is REALLY bugging me because I am sure I am correct and so many people are responding to him. The posts are just too coincidental and I hate to see someone taking advantage.

If anyone is up to some sleuthing just read around the K1 forum (hell, he may even be in others as well).

I'm a little surprised at the lack of compassion here. I'm in favor of doing things by the book, but how many of us have been in such dire circumstances that we could even understand what these people go through?

The people that come here illegally are probably not affluent in their country. Perhaps we should do more work to make these countries more economically viable so people won't have to leave. Poverty is the issue.

Its not about compassion. Its about thousands of people crossing into USA every dam day with the intent and purpose of violating the law of the USA. Its about people taking advantage of the generosity, compassion and sentiment of Americans.

Contrary to popular belief, the USA is not responsible for fixing and solving all of the worlds problems. WE have enough problems here that need to be addressed first and foremost.... yet we are more concerned with "taking care" of those from other places first? Now THAT is utterly fukcing ridiculous!

You wanna come here? DO it legal...follow the law, and you will be welcome here. DO it illegal....I loose all compassion for your criminal azz until you do it the legal way.

Laws are laws for a reason. There is NO justification for breaking the law.

Since my wife started working she has been sending money back to her mother. She never asked me to send one dime and is intent on using the money she earns. I have asked her to make sure she puts our family first and forego sending or reducing the amount she sends if we ever need it. Until that time comes she can do what she wants.

I need to clarify...Fisch is correct that they are not proposing to give totally free EADS. I was ill-informed on this .

However: how in the heck is an illegal going to come up with that kind of cash to come here? Sounds like it confirms what I previously state that they will continue to come illegally rather than pay $3-4k.

Firstly, I do not wish the immigration hell on anyone. I believe any immigrants who are not harmful to our country should have an oportunity to come here through legitimate legal channels.

However, we are a nation of laws, and as such, people who are here illegally are breaking the law. Noone can justify breaking a law and saying it's not a crime... We have border control and immigration laws for a reason. We are a sovereign nation and our borders MUST be respected. Does anyone here just allow anyone that wants to walk into their homes to do so? Hell no! What other countries have open and free immigration to anyone who wants to enter? What other countries allow such clear violation of their laws? What makes illegal people think they have a GOD GIVEN RIGHT to come here against our laws, and why the hell do Americans think it should be allowed?

Our government thinks that if they make new laws that do not require enforcement of the crime then the problem is fixed and they do not have to address the real problem. CHICKEN SH!T I say.

Everyone should always remember this:

In the USA crimianls have more rights that honest law abiding citizens.

Think the immigration process is long now? Let these bills pass into law and USCIS will be so fricking flooded you'll never get through this nightmare...not to mention the people coming illegally are still going to come illegally. And while the government is giving away benefit to illegals, does anyone here think they will get the same benefits just handed to them.

If the gov is giving away free EADs to illegals are they going to stop charging us or give us refunds? Nope!

Hi all. Just wanted to say congrats to all of the recent AOS approvals and to say my wife's green card arrived today. Our interview was March 10 as was her biometrics...green card exactly 2 weeks from the interview!

CONGRATS!!! Alittle rest from immigration is well deserved.

Usually they will conduct the interview in either language...which ever you prefer and which ever is easiest for you to communicate in.

Has anyone ever filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau? What was the outcome?

Yes! I filed one last year against VoiP.net over their billing practice. The BBB of Florida made several written enquiries regarding my specific case and they never responded to the BBB. VoiP eventually corrected the *uck-ups without ever responding to BBB. A few months ago I received a letter from BBB stating that the company never responded and BBB would be "marking" them and would continue to follow up.

Regardless of the outcome...black marking those bastards was well worth it to me...and filing was very easy to do on-line!

Hello. I really want to thank everybody who replied, you've made me feel so supported, and of course, only the people who go through a real love distance relationship know what it is like to having someone so close to our hearts but yet so far cuz of distance. Those who criticize foreign people coming to the states dont realize what it is like to leave everything behind for the person we love, i've come to know it will be the hardest thing for me to do and my fiance says that he knows he has a big responsibility cuz i'm leaving my family for him, and also i'm certain the K1 visa process will be stressful, i feel stressed and worried already, so, having this type of relationship is no easy cake, and it's unfair to having someone's finger pointed at me.

Thank you so so much for your support and for making me feel so welcomed already, God bless you all and may He help us shorten the distance from our loved ones sooner than expected.

Are you from Huntsville? Only place I can think of that has a scientific community. I was born and raised in Alabama, but have lived in New Mexico since 1994. I do miss the food (real BBQ and catfish) and "sweet tea", but I get my fix when I go back each year to visit the family. One things for sure...I don't miss the humidity!

And it has been my experience (and from what I've heard from Northerners) that racism is bad across the country, it isn't only Southern.

He said it might take 90 days or more to complete the check and he gave us an e-mail address we could use to check on the status of things in case we begin to wonder if we have fallen into 'the black hole'.

Congrats on the sucessful interview! We had ours today and are in the same situation with FBI checks, but we were not told of the web address where we could check our case status. Is this something you can share with us? Thanks, and again many congrats to you and Wes.
