  1. They will find out about any arrests. Submit paper work and then a summary of what happened. It is better to tell everything (disclose everything) about any arrest then to try to "hide " any arrest. If they find out you were arrested for anything and you don't disclose it then they will think that you are trying to hide it. You will for sure get an RFE or a complete rejection of your petition. Good Luck

  2. It takes a little time to send it to Russia and then they have to open it and process it. Then you have weekends and holidays that NO works . A lot of people on Visajourney site I think believe that they are the only one that the State/Embassy has to deal with. I just read about someone so upset about not being notified yet about the money they sent and come to find out it left Guam for the US 3 days ago. They were told 3-5 days for it to arrive but they never think about processing at the office. Then they start calling and jamming the phone lines. I have heard that they get 2000 packets a day at State Department etc.. If it is two weeks out then I would start to call.....Good Luck

  3. Yea, on the B-2 visa they want to make sure that they go back home after the visit. It's not automatic that everyone can get a B-2. On the co-sponsership I can't help you on that as I don't know how they will react. Your K-1 visa will be in his hands soon. Now is the hardest wait time. It will come so hang in there. Good Luck

  4. My wife's interview was last Dec. and it was a very easy process. They didn't want to see any pictures but you should have some in case they ask. Don't go crazy with pictures but have maybe 10 or so. Her interview was only 10 mins at most. Some basic questions like when you last met. Maybe she asked 2-7 questions. How long did you know him. Where do you plan to live. Questions like that. Go to the Moscow embassy web site for the documents that you need. You will get an email when you papers get to the embassy telling you what to do next. It's the exact stuff they tell you on the web site. There are some things you can do now and to save time you need to do them now. Like get your medical etc.. It's on the web site. The interview was very friendly. Good Luck

  5. If I was in this sitiuation I would have her get a tourist Visa and come to the US around the fourth month and have her stay six months. Have the baby here while waiting for the K-1 visa to come through. We call it an "anchor baby". Then with papers in hand as a USC for the baby you will only have to wait for the K-1 to come through. Many women have done that in the past.....Just a suggestion.

  6. WOW ....it may be a little harder. I thought that having a Russia fiancee was going to be hard with all of the stuff going on in Russia and the Ukraine but it went real fast for us. It was all very easy, no problems. I was a USAF B-52 pilot and her father and mother were KGB (retired of course). We had no problem....Good Luck

  7. Do not move ! Be prepared for him to leave after he gets his permanant green card. He should not treat you like this ! His hate for others has polluted the love he had for you. He hates Texas, Haitians, Mexicans and poor people. He abuses you because you don't speak Spanish like the DR people do. WHAT?....Why would he put up with all of this torture other than to get a geen card??? I am so sorry.

  8. FINALLY after 3 and a half years and exactly one day shy of the 6 month mark after sending in the removal of conditions packet(NOA1 was August 25, 2014), we received a text notification to check the USCIS site. My husband's 10 year green card was approved and it's in the mail. Just one last step, applying for citizenship which he can start in July of this year. There is a light at the end of the tunnel. We have had a very smooth journey in spite of the nay sayers who warned us that because of certain "red flags" we have in our marriage our journey would be long and difficult. We sailed through the entire process from start to finish. No RFE's, no significant delays, just a few weeks of AP after his interview at the consulate in Amman. To those nay sayers who told us there was no way we be approved because I happen to be 20 years older than my husband, and because he is Muslim and I am Catholic, because I am divorced with children and that we were married not long after meeting for the first time, we prevailed. I am not sure why a certain few people go out of their way to intentionally scare people who are in the midst of this long journey, people who insist that just because you may or may not fit the conventional mold of what a relationship is supposed to look like, that there is no way you will succeed in this journey without pain and heartache. This community is about supporting others, not about adding stress to an already stressful process.

I want to send a shout out to the rest community here at VJ, the majority of whom are kind, compassionate and very VERY knowledgeable. Without the guidance, support and advice from the members here we never would have been able to complete this process on our own. When the time comes for my husband to apply for citizenship I am sure we will be back for more sage advice from the many wonderful members of this community.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts,

    Cathi and Moath

The nay sayers are just trying to let you know to be careful and use common sense. USCIS say that 75% of marriages end in divorce during the process up to and after getting a 10 year green card. I pray that it doesn't include anyone on their journey but............. Congratulations !!!!

  9. I don't think you will have any problem but as you know "it's Russia" and anything can happen. I took in cameras, computers and a variety of stuff last year and as long as it meets the dollar amount that is allowed it's OK. You need to check or google the amount/value that can be brought through Russian customs. I believe if my memory serves me right it's $1000 in value maybe a little more now. There is a web site that list everything that is allowed but I can't remember the exact site. Try Russian customs entry. Last time I went through I just walked through. I think that there is something having to do with optics but I don't remember the specifics. I hoped I was some help....good luck.

  10. While the I-485 does ask questions about you, the petition is for the the person wanting to become the green card holder. No you do not need to submit a 325A for yourself only for the person wanting to have a green card.....Hopes this helps. Good Luck... Oh and NO you don't need passport pictures of yourself, only the person wanting a green card.
