  1. hi

no, at the point of entry when the officer at customs receives your packet, you will be escorted to an office where they will check the documents, they will ask you where do you want your card to be mailed

you can give him or her the new address

    yes but...

In some cases the officer may not come to his mind that you may change your address.

So, its better for you to take the move yourself and inform him that you want to do so.

  2. Any help with this guys?
Now the case goes to optimized but have the same error message as follows:

    Validation Error(s)
You must correct the following error(s) before proceeding:
    • My Case Status does not recognize the receipt number entered. Please check your receipt number and try again. If you need further assistance, please call the National Customer Service Center at 1-800-375-5283.
  3. Thanks all for your replies

Today I tried to check the issue with the receipt number but the page shows an error.I do not know why actually...

For how long the process took in the airport, for those who ask,it didnt take more than 30 minutes.it was so smooth and fast

  4. Hi all,

    Hope u r doing well

Finally, we get to US through Ohare airport in Chicago but have a question

Upon entry the officer did not take digital photos of us but only the fingerprints.

    Is that ok?

Also is there any source we can check the progress of our green cards through?

    Thanks alot

  5. Hi all,

    hope you are doing well

I have an inquiry about entry to US. I am a holder of visa but submitted Affidavit of support to the embassy.

Should I enter US at same POE in which my sponsor lives?

Will they ask if he is waiting me outside the airport?

Off course, I mean to overcome the possibility of inadmissibility because of public charge factor...

    Thanks

  6. DV visas do not require necessarily an affidavit of support, But still some embassies are requesting it like what happened to me.

    Any way...

    - your relative will file only one form for both of you.

    - it is recommended to carry the bank statement with you to make the process looks perfect.

    Good luck...

  7. The embassy made a mistake on my brother country of birth, even though everything was listed correctly, he returned his visa to embassy and it was fixed in a week. You need to fix that before you travel to the USA. you don't wanna risk having a admission denial when you reach the airport, I just want you to be aware that the final decision for granting admission is for CBP at the port of entry. In your case , what ever is listed in your passport is irrelevant regarding the martial status. You need your immigrant file to have the correct information.,

    Thanks DC85

yesterday I submitted the passport to the embassy, they asked for my cellphone number.

So, I am waiting for their call.

  8. Firstly,thanks alot for replies.

What I am asking about is;i am single in my passport and single in visa application form.because I got married after submitting it.

I know that people make mistakes, but I am just want to confirm is it a mistake or the visa should be matching the passport and the form, that's it

    Anyway thanks again, really appreciate

  9. If you are "single" you can't have a derivative wife. It's obviously a mistake but why take the chance of entering the US like that? In any case you are supposed to notify the embassy if there's a mistake. Get it fixed.

    thanks for reply

but, do not they take the information on Visa from DS260 ? in which I was single and got married after submitting it?

  10. I think Chicago is cold :D but if you have family and a support system that will be a big help in settling somewhere.

Congratulations on getting the visa and good luck for your new life in the US!

That is the main reason why I do not like to get there, Coldness is my enemy :D

I have to found warm place and do without my relatives :D

    Thanks Susie
