  1. U.S. Department of State

    NONIMMIGRANT VISA APPLICATION

    Administrative Processing

    Application ID or Case Number:xxxxx

    Case Creation Date: 01-Jun-2015

    Status Updated Date: 17-Aug-2015

Your visa case is currently undergoing necessary administrative processing. This processing can take several weeks. Please follow any instructions provided by the Consular Officer at the time of your interview. If further information is needed, you will be contacted. If your visa application is approved, it will be processed and mailed/available within two business days.

  2. Shauneg, how does it changes from immigrant to non-immigrant? In other words, are you referring to the CEAC website where you choose, "Check my visa application status"? At this point our K1 case is in AP and can only be checked by choosing ""Immigrant" - Check my visa application status". Once this changes to "ready" I will then need to look under "Non-Immigrant" - Check my visa application status in order to check on the status?

    Many thanks!

I actually didnt have to change anything on the drop down menu....when it was on Ready it said immigrant on top and now while in AP it says nonimmigrant

  3. Ckeck is has changed from immigrant to noimmigrant?

If says noimmigrant , then that means they are ready to issued very soon.

but if say immigrant then you need wait or involve your congressman or senator office to find what going on.

Its says nonimmigrant...which is I guess a good sign. Why does that make a difference?

  4. It looks good; they responded with a request for a signed statement retracting your

request, and you did. Since they never received a signed statement requesting

cancellation of the visa, it *should* be OK.

You never know, as the person reviewing this is also human, but they usually do know

that this "stuff" can be very stressful and emotional, and that, sometimes, you make

a mistake you soon regret, under that pressure.

Keep up hopes, it does look good !

    Thank you!

  5. Hello Everyone,

I am in desperate need of some advice. I'll try to make this short and to the point (I'll try)

    * 3 year relationship (11 trips total so far to visit him)

    * Visa Process started September 2014

    * Interview for K1 Visa - May 2015 - Visa Approved

    * CEAC - Case Ready- as of June 2015

Problems with systems started, no passport no visa. Both my fiancé and I were very stressed and emotional because we had made so many plans in June and we were arguing all the time. One of those arguments went to far and I sent in an email to ustravel... saying I wanted to cancel his visa and I would not marry him (on June 27). On June 29 after crying and just being completely devastated I quickly sent in another email saying I did not want to cancel explaining my emotional state.... they asked me to send a letter when I first said I wanted to cancel, which I did not send because I obviously did not want to cancel, I stated this in various emails.

We continued to call and check on passport status, no info. Finally on August 7th as a response to one of my many emails someone emailed me telling me, I had sent an email saying I wanted to cancel and that I needed to send a signed letter and a copy of my passport saying "I wanted to retract the request to withdraw petition". I immediately sent that in. The response was "it will be forwarded to the corresponding unit for review".

Do you think there is a chance he will get his visa issued? or not? Keep in mind I never sent in a signed letter for the cancellation.

  6. I've been having the same problem for 3 weeks now, I called then again today and was told since its been over 45 days for my case I would be transfered to a level 2 specialist, when transferred I was told the wait time was 75 minutes!? I left my name & # for a call back, let's see what happens. I am also like many of you afraid that my case is now in space somewhere... i just can't understand why they changed the website when it was perfectly fine and why they havent been able to fix this problem... very frustrating

  7. I've also posted this forum las week...from what I understand Texas processes the east coast heavier populated states such as NY, FL..etc. common sense would say this system needs to be fixed bcause it really is not fair to many people....its like having two long lines and instead of moving people to the shorter line you keep them in the long one and you just stand there watching people who come in later leave before you all happy w their food while u still hungry ? system sucks point blank needs restructuring!

  8. If we really want to change the system, we need to stand up for everyone going through the process. Sadly, most people are concerned with their own timelines. There's so much focus on illegal immigration in this country, we need to remind our government that legal immigration needs attention!

This is such a great point! To add insult to injury the website had updates and doesn't work... you know how hard it is to look up your case and see no information, and call them and they tell you I dont have any information for you because there were updates blah blah blah...i don't think they really care about how important that one little tool is for us! Our lives are missing something and its our loved ones...we have goals aspirations, plans for our future we just want an organized system I mean this isnt free!..come on already! I can't even look up my case ??
  9. ? does this mean that Texas Center relationships will b stronger? Or the ones that just get overlooked for months? I think not....im jk jk making light of everything. I do appreciate everyone here we are here for the same reason under different circumstances Good Luck to everyone and don't mind my smartasness...I'm deprived of the companionship of my babe among other things ??

  10. I know this is not the first time that this topic has been posted and at the risk of being redundant and sounding like a whining baby I must say it is completely unfair that the California service center processes aplications so much quicker....now i understand that the Texas center receives a lot more applications because it handles the heavier populated states but that just doesn't make sense! It is so sad and disheartening to see people apply after you and get responses before, I mean seriously somethings got to change with that process! In any case nothing we can do to fix it but continue to wait ?...just venting a little. What do you all think about this?
