  3. I was of the understanding a person can schedule their medical appointment without proof of an interview, but that they must bring their interview letter to the appointment, and if they don't. they are turned away.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

The official instructions for my country state I should bring my P4 letter to the medical because the panel physician might want to take a look, however when I called the doctor and asked he said he has no use for it so he doesn't care if I have it or not. At the medical he indeed didn't even bring it up.

    Go figure.

  4. I am confused and i need help about which financial documents I need to take for my interview?

    Anyone?

    Dwheels?

You need to take what is listed in your P4 letter.

You might want to call your embassy to confirm though. I did and they told me to bring fresh couple photos which wasn't mentioned in the P4 letter. Good thing they did because the CO did ask for them.

  5. I call NVC only once per week on Friday's to ask if we have an appointment and the last NVC representative I spoke to told me to quit calling and wait for the email!

Wow, that was quite rude and inappopriate. Calling makes sense because emails often arrive late, but even if that wasn't the case, I feel reps have no business telling people to stop calling. Guess the rep was just having a bad day, but that's still unprofessional.

  6. Hi, I just got my IR-1/CR-1 visa and am about to pay the production fee through ELIS. So I have a question now. Exactly how does the immigration and green card production process go? At the embassy I was told I enter the US using my single-entry immigrant visa and while there I'll need to start the green card production process. However I heard of many people who had their green card ready and waiting before they even go to the US. So now I'm confused...

  7. I'm so happy he will finally be coming home soon!

And staying! No more coming and leaving! :)

Yeah the interview was fairly straightforward. They did ask quite a lot of questions but most of them pretty standard. No trick questions or anything, lol. The lady wad very nice. In the end she didn't really tell me if I'm approved or not, instead she just gave me some paperwork and told me I should read it because it contains useful information for when I move to the US. Lol!

Got my visa today too, along with the sealed, huge and really awkwardly shaped immigration package.

I plan to write a more extensive review as soon as I get some time.

Thank you VJ, you made this journey a lot less painful than it could have been. And a special thank you to the resident patrons, you know who you are. ;)

  8. Please people advice . the attached file info is what i got on my interview letter . as far as i can tell here , NVC did not mention anything about the new form i864. according to this letter i dont need anything but the original copy of the below docs

    Passport

    MOROCCO FICHE ANTHROPOMETRIQUE

    MOROCCO CASIER JUDICIARattachicon.gifCapture.PNG

    E

As far as I've noticed, the P4 letter won't ever mention the new I-864, but they could easily ask you to present it *at* the interview. To my understanding, what makes the new form a requirement (or not) is your interview date in relation to 10/6/15, as per this statement:

Starting 10/06/15, USCIS will only accept the 07/02/15 edition. Until then, you can use the 03/22/13 edition.

In any case, it is always a good idea to bring the updated I-864 with you to the interview, if at all possible.

  9. Hey can someone send me the current codes. What I have in the first post is circa 2012 and its old and doesn't even list F.

    From my P4 letter:

  10. But I told him that those stays were exchange programs from my university. Whatever they want to find out from my resume they just could have asked, it's the same! Just in the resume I put my words on the paper, but so do they at the interview.

They probably want something they can easily put in their archives, if they need to refer to it later.

Does anyone know how long it take to review all that again with a new requested document? A lady on the phone said 30 days... But I just can't believe that such a simple thing would cause such a long delay...

From what I've learned, most of the time is spent just simply waiting your turn. The review itself probably takes no more than 30 minutes.

  11. So my case went to Ready just now. It went to In Transit on Sep 18. So 3-4 days, not too bad. So yay! Looks like all I have to do now is nail that interview. B-)

Here's the funny thing though. This whole time DHL never showed anything relevant at all. Today I tried many different combinations of date range from, date range to, and the reference code - nothing. Only a couple of combinations ever produced any result at all, and none of it was relevant to Croatia. How come? Is it really ready or should I keep on worrying?

Žena i ja smo u identičnoj situaciji.
