  1. That would be amazing!! I check my case status every day and never saw a potential interview waiver update. Does that only come by mail?

I'll make a timeline - I've been meaning to lol. I applied in early May 13 and they received it May 20!

Yeah the letter only comes by mail, no update to status online.

I would say you are definitely approved if it says that on your case status- congrats again!

I'm hoping we get an update soon...

  2. Hey! How is everyone doing today?

I just refreshed my case status page for my AOS Green Card and it says "'My Card is Being Produced". Now, yesterday morning it still said "'My Fingerprint Fee Was Received" or something like that. I haven't gone in for an interview and haven't heard anything on my case up until this update.

Is it a glitch in the system? Has anyone else received this update?

    Thank you!

    Jonny

Congrats! Looks like you are approved. I would assume you should have received a Notice for potential interview waiver letter or maybe that's still coming in your mail.

When did you apply for AoS? I don't see your timeline

  3. Hey Derwood... so if your priority date has been reached by your local office does that mean you can file a service request even if it hasn't been six months since you got the NPIW letter? St Paul says that they're on January 12, 2015 as of July 31st. We filed end of February so in theory the next update should make us current. But we didn't get the letter until June meaning three more months. Does anyone know if your priority date is current for your local office if that means that you should prepare for an interview or just expect to wait for the waiver? Now I'm curious.

Our local office is also St. Paul and we are wondering the same thing, in roughly 4 months from now they should be processing our date....yet we just received the NPIW letter yesterday for 6 months which sounds like it could be much longer?

I read about people waiting a year or more with the letter, did there letter say 1 year or 6 months still? Hoping it goes quick.....

    Thanks

  4. just wanna ask how long did you wait for the SSA to update her ssn with the name change and how soon did you get the new card? i went to SSA the 20th for the name change and then had a job interview the 21st and got hired however, on the 25th when the company did the background check i was told they cant verify my SSN (which i explained to them probably because the ssn is still on my maiden name)...im just glad job wont be starting until the 14th of september but im really worried coz i haven't received anything from SSA til now.

We got her updated card about a week later.

We've been through this and had the same thing... Companies are unable to do a check on the SSN and verify it if the SSN was issued after June 25th, 2011.

    Read this: http://www.ssa.gov/employer/randomization.html

You can also search around here and google and find many topics about it.

It should also say something in the background report for reasons why it may not be able to validate the SSN, I know it does if it's through HireRight.

  5. We just got back from the SS Office to update the name on our existing SSN and they said that her EAD wasn't found in the SAVE database...yet, which is interesting because we got our EAD card almost a month ago- so the woman basically said, we either give out receipts with estimated delivery of SSN in 2 week or 4 weeks and we get the paper that says 4 weeks so they can verify with DHS.

Also, she said in her experience its usually no more than 3 weeks in these situations.... so now we wait!

    Still no update on AOS.

  6. No issues renewing ID card today with EAD, in fact the person we spoke with said that even if we had a document showing the AOS pending (NOA1) that would have been sufficient....Funny because they told us no before...

Oh well, we got it renewed and name change without issues. Next stop is Social Security office for name change....

Hoping to get an update on AOS soon!

  7. From how long did it take once your EAD was approved to getting the card in the mail? was there a NOA 2 notice sent? I have to do the same at DMV for the state id card since mine expired on i94 date. Let us know how it goes.

Approved July 16th via notice from USCIS, then July 22nd, notice on USCIS that it was mailed, and now delivered today. Pretty fast process, we're impressed.

Our State ID expires in 2019, but has a "Status Check" date of when the i-94 expired, so we are going to renew that for a name change and also it will have a new status check of when the EAD card expires in 1 year from approval date.
