  1. This question is geared towards any that had an interview in Bogota. We would like for my wife to fly direct from Bogota to Florida. As it is right now with the new mailing the visa thing and no longer able to pick it up, do you think we would be able to have it mailed locally in Bogota so she doesnt have to go all the way back to Medellin?

Not very many replies from the Colombian people lately. Maybe my questions are out of the norm. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

  2. Hello all,

I am having a small issue, it is near our interview time, and I don't want to mess up this easy little form.... does anyone out there have an example of the I-134 with a child on it ?? I just need to ask you a few questions and maybe you can walk me through it if you would be so kind. I have asked a few questions on the site, but nobody that answered has any info about the form with dependents.

    Thanks!! John

I just got through an interview in Bogota. I have 1 child that I partially support listed her where it asked to mark partially. go ahead and semd me a message and i will be glad to help you with it.

  3. trying to find someone that had the interview in Bogota with a young child. My wife just left Bogota and the baby didnt go to the medical, so she got conditionally approved and has to come back with the baby for the medical and to pick up the visas. Trying to find out if I need to get vaccinations for the baby and how much those were? Also trying to find out if I have to pay for a seperate visa fee for the baby at the same bank?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  4. Well if you werent going to be together for the year it takes just to get the appointment I would say put money aside for an attorney. But since you are going to be lucky enough to be with him I would start with the i130 packet in the example forms section. Hopefully it will be quicker for the 2008 applicants because the mid 2007 applicants waited 1 full year prior to noa2 then another 2 months for the appointment.

    good luck to you

  5. I HAVE BEEN ACCUSED OF GETTING PAID TO MARRY MY HUSBAND, THE FBI JUST CAME TO MY JOB WITH THIS BULLSHIT. I WANT TO KILL SOMEONE RIGHT NOW I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO. PLS ADVISE ME BEFORE I DO SOMETHING I WILL REGRET.  :dance:

They would have arrested you on the spot with a warrant if they had any evidence. I also find it odd that it was the FBI and not immigration. Something is not right here. They dont just show up and advise you they are accusing you.

  6. My wife got a conditional approval in Bogota today. She must return with the baby do the medical and get vaccinations for him and pay for another appointment, when that is done the visas will be shipped to her house. So we are trying to get the medical appointment as fast as possible but it is looking like 2 weeks is the earliest.

Also for those going through Bogota do everything possible to make the appointment with Dra Gonalez the only female doctor on the list as my wife seen girls leaving and crying after the appoinment with Roa saying he absolutley hummiliates the girls making them strip down or actually taking off the robes himself. I have been hearing this for 2 years now and cannot beleive he is still getting away with it. I guess this type of abuse is part of the visa proccess as well, for that reason no one is allowed to enter the room along with the patient. Be careful with that!!

  7. Then it looks like she will get denied in the morning for this. Hopefully they will rescedule right away so she can return with the baby.

    Thanks

For K3 NO VACINNATIONS ARE REQUIRED UNDER LAW, they are only required to adjust status. FOR BABIES UNDER A K4 VISA (tag along of K3), YES a medical is required but it is so brief and pointless besides its not even the same cost as an adult.

For example, look what it says for my consulate (Santo Domingo)

    Direct Excerpt from website:

You must go to Consultorios de Visa for a medical examination. Please see the enclosed information sheet for the steps to follow in order to have a medical examination and be vaccinated. All applicants, regardless of age, must have a medical examination performed at Consultorios de Visa.

    THEN it says:

You must pay at Consultorios de Visa US$100.00 or the equivalent in Dominican pesos for each adult examined (US$30.00 for each child under age 15). This amount includes X-rays, blood tests and the medical examination itself. If the examining physician considers that other tests are necessary, you must pay for these separately. Children under 15 years of age do not need to have X-rays taken nor blood tests conducted, unless the doctor considers them necessary.

So i wouldnt worry about that. Although your countrys embassy/consulate website kinda sucks...

Everything we recieved and everything I have read here states the baby does not need a medical or vaccinations to come to the USa on the moms visa k-3. My wife is getting her medical as we speak, just called me from the doctors office and says the receptionist is stating the baby must be present as well and has to go through the medical exam along with her. Dont know what to beleive since you cannot trust anyone living there.

Does anyone know if this is true in Bogota? I sure hope not, its been one stressful week going from Medellin to Bogota dealing with the theives with vaccinations ect... Cant wait to get this over with, know I understand why less the half the applicants actually make it the embassy and or beyond.

    Thanks alot

With him they have to get naked and with Dr Gonzalez no. Please let me know your experince with this Mlae docotor in bogota.

  10. Hello, My interview is coming up in August as well. Trying to find out if you really need the batismal certificate or what to do if you cannot get it due to location of birth. Does anyone kow if a reasonable hotel close to the embassy in Bogota. When I used to go to Bogota i would stay in the casa dann carlton but thats far from the embassy and also higher end then what we need for this trip.

    Good luck guys

  11. has anyone changed the appointment dates for Bogota. i just found out that our appointment date not only is on a Tuesday but also the previous days of the previous week are festivo days in Colombia. So my wife would have to stay in bogota for more then 8 days, its ridiculous. So we are now trying to find a number to call them or should we just send an email with the case number.

    Anyone??

  12. Does anyone know if you really need the certificate of batism? It would be immpossible for her to get this as it is from a small pueblo way outside of medellin.

Does anyone know of a reasonable hotel close to the embassy in Bogota? How many days did you need to get it all done? Lab work, doctors appt interview and bank? Im thinking 4 days shoud cover everyhting however trying to get it done in 3. Its the lab results im not sure about. Dont knowif its on a walk in basis or you need an appt with them as well.

Thanks alot for your help, its been a hell of a long journey so far. Glad to be getting close.

  13. Does anyone know if you really need the certificate of Baptism for the Bogota embassy?(she was born in a small pueblo far from medellin, immpossible tog et this certificate from there.) Also does anyone know of what hotel to stay at thats very reasonable close to the embassy? My wife is flying in from Medellin. I think 4 days should be sufficient to handle the lab, doctors appt and interview. Any info would be great.

    thank you

  14. I had withdrawn a fiance petition 3 years ago. I sent a letter to the CSC asking them to withdraw. They sent an NOA2 anyways several months later. Honestly I think you are wasting time withdrawing the way they handle things at the service centers, if you do send a letter of withdrawal make sure to keep a copy for future reference if you decide to marry outside of the US again. Or just let it go through and dont follow through with packet 3.

  15. Aprox 5 hours after I posted this I was extremly shocked to see that both were approved through email notification.

Lets hope that yours are coming here shortly too. What I think might have helped was I did begin to get aggressive calling the last month. I filed an overdue research paper with a rep on the phone, you can do that if your case is over 1 month beyond the time lines. Then the last call was 2 weeks prior an officer that told me they were doing a backround check on my wife. I asked how long that usually takes and he said didnt know, so I asked is it usually less then a few weeks and he said yes it should be.

So I would get on the phone daily and file reports ect.. That might have boosted this.
