Just a quick update on our case.......
It is so exciting but..............the nerves before the interview are crazy. My fiance is sleeping right now but tomorrow morning she will arrive at the Hong Kong embassy by 830am and her interview is at 930am. We quadruple quadruple checked every single document and compared to the checklist from the embassy as well as the notes from VJ. We cant imagine why there would be any reason that the interview will not go as planned but it is still completely nerve racking. Within 12 hours from now though I will be able to provide an update and hopefully the news will be APPROVED!!!!

for us...... the medical couldnt be booked until she got packet 4 actually. Packet 3 had the letter requesting the police report but packet 4 had the letter requesting the medical. For an update, the medical went well for my fiance and she will be picking up the sealed medical report on Feb 26th. So once she has that in hand she should have everything she could possible need for the interview on Feb 29th. I cant believe that it is only 5 days away. I will definitely provide an update once it is complete.

When is your interview? You file last november and before this month ends you already book your interview! Pretty ecstatic!
Actually our interview is Jan 29th. We are hoping that is goes smooth and she can have the visa before Feb 6th and if so she will fly here for good on Feb 9th.

Hi,
Does the packet includes a letter from the embassy for police clearance? I worked at Hongkong before and I need to get a police clearance from there too but the requirements need a letter from the embassy for the purpose of getting one. Thanks ?
Yes... when she received packet 3 there was a letter from the embassy stating the need for the police clearance. All she had to do was to take it over to the police station. They said normally they take 2-4 week to process but when she told them she already had an interview date of Jan 29 they said they would expedite and ensure it was completed and at the embassy prior to the interview date. Hope that helps!!!

Just got another update from my fiance.......
She got the call from the Hong Kong embassy and they accepted the packet 3 stuff and we now have an interview date!!!!!!!! It will be January 29th and she should have all documentation on hand and ready to go. She also booked her medical for January 20th already as well. So as long as they approve she and her son should be flying home with me on February 9th!!!!!! So excited!!!!!!

So excited to hear of the progress with everyone!
My fiance completed the work for packet 3 and mailed the info back in today. The embassy shoudl recieve it tomorrow and she is going to call in the afternoon to make sure it got there. Hopefully they turn around packet 4 asap and we find out the interview date. We have everything needed except for the medical and she already talked with the medical office and they said she would be able to have the examine within a day of getting packet 4 and they would need 7 days to create the report. So we are hoping that she can have the interview scheduled during the first week of Feb. I will actually be flying to Hong Kong because we are having an exgagment party for all of her friends on Feb 7. So if by chance she could actually have the visa by then we are going to plan to fly back home together. This is truly so exciting and it is awesome to hear the other stories as well. Thanks!

My fiance received packet 3 from the Hong Kong Embassy today! So she is going to be spending tomorrow getting all the next steps completed. She already has all the docuemnts that she needs from me so.............. we will just submit the packet 3 stuff and wait for packet 4! it is definitly getting exciting at this stage.

My fiance was in town for the past week and a half so I wasnt able to provide an update but......We sent in the reply to the RFE we recieved on Saturday Nov 29th. We got notice from CSC that it was recieved Monday Dec 1st and we then recieved our NOA2 on Thursday Dec 4th. Just hoping that the holidays dont hold up the NVC to much. My fiance has contracts for both work and her apartment that end in mid February and we are really hoping that she will be able to have her Visa in hand by then so she can just come here instead of trying to figure some temporary stuff out there. Congrats everyone else who has recieved NOA2 and still praying for those that are still waiting!

I actually have an update.... my fiance was able to get the "decree absolute" that states her prior marriage was ended in 2008. So we are very excited cause this is exactly what the RFE requested. So she will be here on Friday for a 1 week visit and we will send out the document this Saturday. I have heard that CSC responds quickly when RFE responses are received so we are kind of hopeful that we will get our NOA2 before she leave for home. Thanks!

Hello, I would like to say I appriciate any support that could be offered.......
I received the RFE in the mail and it stated that we need to provide further evidence that my fiance's divorce was final. She got divorced in 2008 and we sent in a divorce Nisi which said that it would final after a period of 90 days. But the RFE stated we must submit a FINAL divorce decree. My fiance has contacted the Hong Kong goverment and they said they dont issues those and that the Nisi would be the final document. So kind of stumped as to what our next move in. If anyone has any suggestions it would be appriciated! Thanks!

Thanks for the feedback! It is so good to be able to come here and just talk with people who truly understand what this is like.....
For the notice, I recieved an email and text and then when I logged into to the uscis it had been updated with the status. The actual verbiage is below. I am certainly hoping that whatever it is it is minor. C. will be coming to visit me the whole week after thanksgiving so I am hoping that we will be able to get whatever it is finalized and addressed while she is here. I will certainly post again when we get the RFE. Thanks!

Well I have an update! Not so happy but still progress. We got an RFE on the way. Hopefully it will be here first part of next week so we can respond asap. I have no idea what it could be as I followed all the info on the K1 guide and had all the evidence for everything. Hopefully something very minor like a signature or something. I'll post again once I get the RFE and see what we are dealing with. Thanks!

I just was just checking on the current November filers and it looks like there are already 2 couples who had noa1 in Nov have already received their noa2. From CSC. And if you look at the trends from October most were received within 2-3 weeks from CSC. Saying prayers for everyone to receive their noa2 fast. Waiting for the love of your life is harder then anything else you could experience.

NOA1 received!!!
Congrats! And thanks for posting. With the uscis website update issues I had this fear that it would affect their notification system as well. So it looks like it is good!
For us we got a notice on Friday that the alien registration number had been assigned for our case.

Sent to Wrong Lockbox Location
in Adjustment of Status (Green Card) from K1 and K3 Family Based Visas
Posted
My wife and I sent in the paper work for her and also our sons AOS. We feel very confident about the info and triple and quadruple checked everything before mailing and then at the post office I got excited that it was done and had a total brain meltdown and mailed the packet to the Dallas lockbox. I didn't realize it until we checked the status of delivery and saw it had been received and signed for at Dallas. Any suggestions on what we should do would be appreciated. I called once but they had not done anything with the case yet so there was no data for them to look up. Thanks!
