  1. She has not internet......When I go to Philippines I carry a dual sim and keep Smart and a SUN IDD.

Sun IDD cost like 1 peso per minute to call USA and the quality is very good, I think it is for international only calls to USA.

If she doesn't have internet, she may buy cheap phone cards

  2. Hi.. when I request to expedite my interview, I wrote an email to the embassy. Then they response that they waive my moms interview and that she can come anytime on the date given. Setting an appointment online, doesn't really works for immigrant, because they will not conduct an interview without the files.

Thats awesome... If undont mind to get the email address you used to email them.

    Do they responded quick?

    When is your parents interview?

  3. ah. ok.

so it's on you to set the visa appointment.

set up an account at ustraveldocs.com/ph

and set up the visa appointment. once you have a visa appointment letter, is easy to get the medical at SLEC.

You might be able to get the medical without the appointment letter - if you have any checklist emails from NVC showing the consular casefile number (MNL2014XXXXXX) can bring those in to SLEC.

Thank so much. I wil check the ustraveldocs.com/ph to set up appointment for interview for my parents

I just registered online for SLEC. :)

  4. I never recieved any email saying it is completed, though, i checked ceac webiste it says ready.

    Here what is says:

Your case is ready for your interview when scheduled at the U.S. Consular section. If you have already scheduled an appointment for an interview, please prepare your documents as directed in your appointment letter and appear at the consulate on the appointed date and time. Otherwise, please wait until you have received interview scheduling instructions.

Please take the medical exam at St. Luke’s Extension Clinic in Manila at least one week before your interview. You are encouraged to register online at the St. Luke’s website:
www.slec.ph prior to your medical exam. The medical exam may take more than one day to complete.

  5. Apologize if there is a duplicated thread.

Here's what i saw on ceac website.. My question is, should initiate to make appointment to get a medical at ST. Lukes and interview? or should i wait?

  6. I requested an expedite request to NVC and they forwarded it to Manila Embassy. After a week, I received an email that it was approved for expedite.

The U.S. Embassy or Consulate is willing to expedite this case when we have all the fees, forms, and documents. If you have not already done so, you can pay your fees and submit Form DS-260 at ceac.state.gov. Please send everything else to this address:

    National Visa Center

    31 Rochester Avenue, Suite 200

    Portsmouth, NH 03801-2915

I have been calling NVC to get an update when are they going to send the documents to Manila as I would like to schedule her interview and get my mom's medical as soon as possible. I saw on the SLEC website that she has to show proof of interview schedule before she can go for medical. NVC told me that they dont have timeline when will the case be completed but my expedited request was approved. Doesnt make any sense to wait again? Anyone experiencing the same thing?

Hi, How did you expidite your application and what is the reason?

  7. It is very ridiculous that i haven't recieve my Dad's IV invoice. I already paid for my mom's IV bill 2 weeks ago. I called NVC multiple times, they keep saying i should recieve it soon. I called again yesterday and the rep said that they are having technical difficulties in sending invoices.

Does anyone of you guys having this problem?

  8. The question is -->

Do you have a communicable disease of public health significance such as tuberculosis?

I think the answer is "NO". You said you are cleared so I guess you don't have TB anymore.

If the question is "have you had the in the past year/6 months (or whatever)? then the answer is "yes" then explain why.

    That is my thought...

  9. how long is the process for name correction? my birth cert. was type written and my mom said it was the midwife who filled it up.. everything else are correctly spelled except the MARIA to MA.

It took about less than a week for them to fix it. My dad's last name is Munoz, on her birth cerificate it wa Munios. We changed it to Munoz because all his docs are Munoz.

My mom name is Elisa, on her birth certifcate it was Eliza. She changed it also.

It is easy change, just lots of paper works
