  1. did biometrics for I-485 and EAD on 11/17/2014, until now nothing, waiting my EAD/AP card, relieved to know that looks like everyone that did biometrics earlier this month didn't received anything yet as well, seems like we gotta play the waiting game until december at least right? :) as long as all goes smooth no problems, Awesome luck for all of us ! :dancing:

Did my biometrics last November 17 too and I'm still patiently waiting for any updates., Hope it won't be that long :(

  2. Thank you everyone!!

So as far as I understand it, no need for AOS as she already has the CR1 visa (my apologies for the confusion there as I went they AOS ).

I will be sure to give her that info ...thanks RayJan!!!

And I'll talk with her a little more to see where she is on the school stuff for the kid. She understands and speaks good English but she knows no one else but the hubby's family, and unfortunately the adult daughter is feeding her a bunch a BS it seems.... From everything about not being able to get a bank account to other immigration facts, but most likely she is doing so to instill some kind of fear into this young girl.

Being that the adult daughter has POA on the dad, when he passes, will the Filipina wife be able to get a copy of hubby's death certificate? I did tell her a few days ago, just to be sure she gets every single piece of document that the nursing home and doctors have about the USC hubby and his medical stuff. They know she is the wife so they will at least give her copies... I hope!

You're most welcome and please let us keep posted on what happened... I shared this story to my uncle way back in the Philippines who is a lawyer and contacting the immigration will be her first move. Hope everything will turn out good.

  3. I suggest to have her contact CFO (commission on Filipinos overseas), they're the government agency which is responsible for FIlipino welfare when we get here in the US and for sure our government won't hesitate to help her on what's the best action to take. Www.cfo.gov.ph

  4. Based on experience, it took them 2 days to respond.

We got our RFE on April 17 and we sent our response(after gathering all the supporting documents even if they just need the letter of intent to marry which we initially submitted) on the 23rd. They received it on the 28th and my husband received the approval notice on the 30th of April and that is in Texas Service Center and I am not sure with other centers though.

  5. When my husband and I went to the civil surgeon, I was told that I need to have another medical and physical exam for $200 and I was like No way.. I showed him my vaccination record and my flu shot record (courtesy of Convergys.. hehehe) and I told him that since I already have those then all I need is to have it transcribed. It really pays to make some research before seeing these civil surgeons...

The more confident that you say it, they will certainly believe you for it ;)

  6. i know lots of people asked about it already. But I can't find the previous thread.

My fiancé didn't sign the intent to marry letter that he has sent me. What should I do?

I was not asked for it during my visa interview and CFO seminar.
