It's been 2 weeks after my Biometrics and no updates from the government yet... Hopefully it won't be too long.
-
did biometrics for I-485 and EAD on 11/17/2014, until now nothing, waiting my EAD/AP card, relieved to know that looks like everyone that did biometrics earlier this month didn't received anything yet as well, seems like we gotta play the waiting game until december at least right? as long as all goes smooth no problems, Awesome luck for all of us !
Did my biometrics last November 17 too and I'm still patiently waiting for any updates., Hope it won't be that long

If you are using your married name, you need to bring your original marriage certificate too aside from your passport and the biometrics appointment letter

Goin there earlier is better... I arrived at 6am and I was number 11..Hehehe...

Thank you everyone!!
So as far as I understand it, no need for AOS as she already has the CR1 visa (my apologies for the confusion there as I went they AOS ).
I will be sure to give her that info ...thanks RayJan!!!
And I'll talk with her a little more to see where she is on the school stuff for the kid. She understands and speaks good English but she knows no one else but the hubby's family, and unfortunately the adult daughter is feeding her a bunch a BS it seems.... From everything about not being able to get a bank account to other immigration facts, but most likely she is doing so to instill some kind of fear into this young girl.
Being that the adult daughter has POA on the dad, when he passes, will the Filipina wife be able to get a copy of hubby's death certificate? I did tell her a few days ago, just to be sure she gets every single piece of document that the nursing home and doctors have about the USC hubby and his medical stuff. They know she is the wife so they will at least give her copies... I hope!
You're most welcome and please let us keep posted on what happened... I shared this story to my uncle way back in the Philippines who is a lawyer and contacting the immigration will be her first move. Hope everything will turn out good.

I suggest to have her contact CFO (commission on Filipinos overseas), they're the government agency which is responsible for FIlipino welfare when we get here in the US and for sure our government won't hesitate to help her on what's the best action to take. Www.cfo.gov.ph

Congrats to you both...

Based on experience, it took them 2 days to respond.
We got our RFE on April 17 and we sent our response(after gathering all the supporting documents even if they just need the letter of intent to marry which we initially submitted) on the 23rd. They received it on the 28th and my husband received the approval notice on the 30th of April and that is in Texas Service Center and I am not sure with other centers though.

My husband and I watched the latest episode and I was kinda disappointed with how the Filipina reacted on her engagement ring to the extent of asking her fiance to go the jewelry store to have it checked. Personally, I don't care if the ring is real or not what matters most is how I am loved and cared by my man.

Finally received my Biometrics appointment letter today and it was dated October 31, 2013. Hopefully it will run smoothly and won't take that long this coming November 17th.

Finally got my Biometrics appointment letter today (dated October 30, 2014). Looking forward to have it done smoothly on the 17th of November...
-
It's better to ask her to send another copy of the form. It's better to do it than wait for an Rfe which will take a little longer... Using a whiteout makes the form invalid coz there should be no alterations or corrections made on it.
-
October filer here as well.. We sent our Aos, ap and ead on October 21, 2014 and it was signed by R.Mercado on the 23rd.. Finally got the receipt notices last week and hopefully we will be able to receive the Biometrics letter real soon...
-
It's better for her to attend the CFO seminar in Cebu and it's easier if she already has her visa with her so there's no need to go back to have it stamped...
-
Just got my EAD and AP receipt yesterday. Hopefully the Biometrics appointment letter will be here soon... crossing my fingers...
-
Received NOA for AOS only by mail today...waiting for the biometrics letter in vain...
-
October filer here too... We sent our aos, ead and travel last October 22 3014 got the email and text notificationon October 24.. Still waiting for the physical NOA and biometrics letters too...

Based on my readings, if you get denied you have the option to file an appeal so that there's no need for you to start all over so long as it's the same petitioner.
-
I was never asked for it during my interview, yet I asked one from my fiance now husband just to make sure. It's better to bring whatever you can to be on the safe side...
-
It didn't take us that long from the submission to approval too... less than 2 months and it just took us longer to set an appointment date but all in all, the experience was a blast
-
Aside from the requirements above, I was also asked with my fiance now husband's passport biographic info page, photos as proof of evidence of our relationship (i just brought the compilation of photos that I made), itr (as a proof that my husband was never married) abd mosy of all let your fiancee bring her confidence with her...
God bless on your journey!

When my husband and I went to the civil surgeon, I was told that I need to have another medical and physical exam for $200 and I was like No way.. I showed him my vaccination record and my flu shot record (courtesy of Convergys.. hehehe) and I told him that since I already have those then all I need is to have it transcribed. It really pays to make some research before seeing these civil surgeons...
The more confident that you say it, they will certainly believe you for it
-
Congrats you both deserve to be happy.
God bless!

i know lots of people asked about it already. But I can't find the previous thread.
My fiancé didn't sign the intent to marry letter that he has sent me. What should I do?
I was not asked for it during my visa interview and CFO seminar.
