No idea, I wish I did. When I filed for N400 people were saying on the forum that their I751 was processed faster after filing for naturalization, doesn't appear to be the case any more haha.

If it's any consolation (which it won't be, other than there are more of us in it together!), I got my NOA in the first week of Dec 2016 and am also still waiting. I filed my N-400 in mid-May so looks like I'll be waiting a while ...! I'm with you and Lordofemrys!!!!

Thank you so much for this answer!  I didn't realize there were so many sites to check status.  Well, I guess at this point, we can just hang in there since things at least seem to be advancing!

Trust me, I didn't either til this month! Just personal opinion, but I actually like the dhs one a lot better in terms of user friendliness as well.

Went for walk-in and wait 3hrs for bio.

They let me take my bio after long wait but they were super helpful and nice.

    Now, waiting time is on.

I've tried to add myself, but not having the best of luck here! + 1 for the googledoc!

natepoland, another New Orleans office online filer here with an almost identical timeline-sent/cashed May 11 and biometrics yesterday!!! so it will be interesting for us to keep track of one another!

Hi everyone!  My husband is a December 2016 filer.  In fact, his case was received on December 6, 2016.  I am so happy to see that Dec 2016 filers are finally being approved, so congrats to everyone!  However, I am seeing filers before our date approved and filers after our date approved.  Is anyone else in the same situation?  It seems like the order of things is totally random.   Oh, and one more question.  How are people receiving emails about changes in their status?  Is there some way to sign up for it?  We have a USCIS account... are the emails automatic?

Ok...so there are two USCIS websites

    https://egov.uscis.gov/

    and here

    https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov/

where you can create accounts, and sign up for text and email notifications. Check that you have the email notifications set up. From my own personal experience, the DHS account is emailing me more reliably than the other one. Even though I have always had email and text notifications enabled on the former, I have never had one!

And I think we are all in that situation, so don't worry too much. Mine was received on 7th and there are some after us who have been approved, but some before us still waiting!

  5. Just a very quick update in case this happens to anyone else!

I got my initial WAC receipt# on December 7th 2016, Biometrics were in Jan 2017, silence since til the Feb glitch saying the case had gone to my local office.

THEN this morning early I got an email that my case had been updated. Woke up and thought AT LAST! SOMETHING!

Logged in (and it's showing on both sites), to find that the update is another message dated yesterday saying that my case has been transferred to my local office! Identical to the Feb one.

(Note that like Bill and Katya I decided to apply for N-400 while waiting for the I-751, did that a couple of weeks ago, Biometrics coming up).

Honestly, at this point I am pretty relaxed about the whole thing, even thought it's frustrating. It's going to happen at some point, I am here, with a genuine marriage, legally, living with my awesome American spouse with a stamp in my passport to demonstrate I am in status.

Basically, I just wanted everyone to know in case anyone else got this message-it's not just you!

Congrats to all those getting approved!

  6. Sorry, yes (dislocated my thumb so my typing is a challenge!). After all the worry- I'd actually say it was a pleasant experience. 5 mins, guy was lovely.

They called us in 10 mins late (he apologized!), he made smalltalk with us as we were walking to office

We got into office, he asked us for our IDs, we swore to tell the truth... he asked us where we met, asked my husband (the USC) what date we married, asked for our most recent bank statement (I'd submitted a bunch with the application) and if there was anything else we wanted to give him-gave him a couple more pics, he looked at the originals and then took the copies I'd brought he asked us 'Do you feel married?' we both looked at each other and burst out laughing then we all chatted a bit and were then approved on the spot, he reminded us about removing conditions in 2 years and to keep my GC with me at all times. That was it! We were parked 5 mins away, in, out and back to the car within 55 mins with a stop on way back to buy milk!

Hope yours goes as smoothly! I think I've covered it all but let me know if you have any questions if there's anything I've missed.

  7. Any October filers with interviews scheduled? We are at day 120 with no news. We will be outside normal processing on Monday according to our service center.

Hey, I sort of disappeared I'm sorry- I filed on Oct 2nd, biometrics 5th Nov, EAD card arrived on 24th Dec, had our interview on 22nd January and got my card today.

I know that's not AT ALL reassuring to you- but I DO know that my local field office has very fast turnaround times for appointments which may explain the speed of interview date etc

  8. Hey Everyone,

Has Anyone ever dealt with having to show documents for your criminal record? I am from Canada and have one from my youth. I called the court house they claim they do not do letters stating there is no longer a record. Any help would be appreiciated. My EAD card has come in and my interview is on January 15th 2015 at 12:45

I'm not sure anyone has answered this for you- you can request your records from the police- and pay a fee (you might be able to expedite by paying extra, I know that's an option in the UK)... if you're going home for Christmas it will make life a bit easier fingerprints wise!

    http://www.rcmp-grc.gc.ca/cr-cj/steps-etapes-eng.htm

BUT... it will just come back that there's no record as your youth record will be sealed sealed/destroyed (unless you did something very very naughty indeed!), so you DON'T actually have a record to declare. Check with the local police force to ensure that it's been sealed or destroyed

  9. "If your Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization, has been pending more than 75 days, you may contact the National Customer Service Center (NCSC) at 1-800-375-5283 and ask that an Approaching Regulatory Timeframe “service request” be created. The NCSC will route the service request to the appropriate office for review. Please have your receipt number ready when contacting the NCSC".

  10. EAD has been shipped!!! Got the email this morning! Im all smiles!

    Congrats to everyone getting news!

GREAT!!! And so fast after your RFE!

Thanks to you all but just nervous i guess we here from them soon

I wouldn't worry,. even though it's really stressful... September and early Oct filers are coming through slowly, though there's no rhyme or reason as to when... Same office as me, one week before me in biometrics and CoTL already has green card on way while I've heard nothing! And you can take heart from jamaican Barbie that things can move FAST after an RFE delay. Just a waiting game....

About 30 minutes ago I got texts and emails about my EAD being in Card PRODUCTION!!

I am so happy about this!!

I am out of the Atlanta office.

CONGRATULATIONS!!! That's excellent pre- Christmas news!

  11. Yes nothing for us either, it's day 62 today and no updates since our biometrics. We were hoping to travel for christmas vacation, but we switched our vacations today since the AP wont be ready in time.

I will file a service request on day 75 for the EAD/AP card, which is what their website says to do.

    Adjustment of Status

    10/01/14 - Package (I-130, I-485, I-765, I-131 Concurrent Filing) sent to Chicago Lockbox. (Day 00)

10/02/14 - Package delivered and signed for (Day 01)

    10/07/14 - Acceptance confirmation text messages/emails received (Day 06)

10/10/14 - Hardcopy NOA's for all forms received in the mail (Day 09)

10/17/14 - Biometrics letter received in the mail - Appointment October 31 (Day 16)

    10/21/14 - Biometrics early walk-in completed (Day 20)

Yes, same here re the 75 days. It's getting really tight for me as far as finding a new job is concerned....

My apologies, i just realized i posted this in the wrong topic.

Not at all- it's good to know!

Sucks re the vacations though...! But at least NEXT Christmas we won't need to worry about this....

  12. Had our biometrics appointment today. Wife was in the emergency room last night so I was already afraid that we were going to miss this morning's appointment. So somewhere in the process of getting there we forgot our marriage license!! We were both really tired from yesterday but of course we didn't want to miss this so that's probably why.

Anyways, when we got there they sent us back to get it because in her app we applied with my last name but her license has her maiden name. So we had to go back and show that. It was very fast once we got back with the marriage license.

Any post biometrics news? Nothing for me yet?

  13. Hey Guys I need some help..Below is what my RFE says I am a bit confused and need some clarification as to what it is that they want. There are 2 boxes that are checked ill type out exactly what each box says. I'll represent each box with a bullet point. The stuff in yellow is what they highlighted in my RFE. I dont understand what they want from part 1 but I understand part 2 completely. Can anyone shed some light? Cause i dont know if they want both part 1 and part 2 or just the joint sponsor. I dont want to have to make an INFOPASS appointment because im gathering documents as I am typing this to get it sent off.

    • Submit all supporting tax documentation (W-2s, 1099s, Form 2555, and all supporting tax schedules) submitted to the Internal Revenue Service for the most recent tax year.

The petitioner/sponsor must submit all supporting tax documents for the most recent tax year.

    • Based on the documents submitted with Form I-864, Affidavit of Support, for the petitioner/sponsor, the income did not meet 125%(100% if military) of the poverty guideline for the petitioner/sponsor's household size.

Submit evidence of assest that meet the standards listed below or obtain a joint sponsor.

Just remind me again how many there are of you- just the 2 of you right? and remind me what your back story is a little- is it you guys who were students last year? Sorry, I'm madly busy here and everyone's kind of going into a blur on here, I don't have time to go back and look...

I do all the finances and bookkeeping and payroll stuff at work so at least I understand that part!

They're saying that based on what you sent, you don't meet 125% of the poverty guidelines - but that's not to say they're right- they might just be misreading what you sent/needing more info from you to prove that you do/have lost something that you sent...

    HERE are the poverty guidelines

    http://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/files/form/i-864p.pdf

IF you do based on W2s or whatever and you sent it all... then maybe something got lost at their end...

Form 2555 is foreign earned income -Was your 'sponsor' here all year last year? Self employed or employed? Do you meet that income and what did you originally send them (again, I'm sorry, I know that you've already said that elsewhere, I just thought you'd appreciate a speedy response!)

You MIGHT need a joint sponsor, you might just need to resubmit what you have already done...

Send me a personal message if you like, rather than listing all your income etc on here! I hope that's some help
