  1. So I can submit the DS160 before it reaches there then?

I'll call again in an hour and see. As of last Wednesday it didn't leave NVC this Wed will make two weeks of it being there.

I don't see why not, unless that was the fatal mistake I made... There's nothing in the online application itself that requires any information you haven't already received. Although, the message on the Embassy website explains that their unable to process the applications at this time, so I don't know how much help it'd be. Might as well wait until this gets all cleared up cause otherwise it'll just sit in limbo hell. You can always start the application now and save it so it's ready to be submitted once they're able to start processing again!

  2. "Your search did not return any data."

That's what I keep getting, I've called them back and they say it's there, BUT hasn't been sent to Bridgetown yet and can offer me no further information.

    That's what my search returns as well, so we're in this together! On the Montreal embassy website, there's the following message;

Currently, we are unable to print most immigrant and nonimmigrant visas approved after June 8, 2015. In addition, U.S. embassies and consulates are unable to process new applications submitted on or after June 9, 2015.

Does this essentially mean that the DS-160 I submitted on June 10th is stuck in weird "technical difficulties" limbo alongside this error message that Allie just said was normal? AHHH! Hahaha.

  3. Congrats Allie

I'm still unable to search what's happening with my file at NVC -_- idk if it has to do with this problem their having or not.

Is it giving you a technical error oooorrrrr...? I can't search mine at all and I don't know if I should just sit back and wait or if there's something I can do. I KNOW WE ALL JUST WANT TO MOVE THIS DAMN PROCESS ALONG AND BE HOME ALREADY! :crying:

Also, CONGRATS ON YOUR APPROVAL ALLIE! YAYAYAYAYAAAAY! :dancing:

  4. I'VE BEEN ON HOLD WITH THE NVC FOR A FUN 51 MINUTES NOW. Was told that we were "in the system" and then promptly transferred to this hold music hell. HOW MUCH LONGER SHOULD I HANG ON?! This phone call is costing me a small fortune...

The music is making me crazy, I've made up a lyrics and a dance... AHHHHH!!!! Hahaha.

After a whole 57 minutes, I got through and we got our case number! The gentleman on the other line MUST be in the process of training because he was very green, but helpful!

If you're calling NVC, be prepared for a wait! And if you'd like me to teach you my dance, I can accommodate. ;)

  5. I believe you can sign back in, no? Theres an option that if you don't finish your application at one time you can go back into it later. Even though you finished, have you tried logging in again? If anything, the screenshot is fine. Just print that if you can't get the email. All they really need is that confirmation code or whatever!

I have attempted a few times to recover the application but it keeps kicking me off! Blargh! I'm going to keep attempting and hope that the website is just being freaky and I'll be able to grab it later. I think the screenshot should do thought, right? I printed it at work today and it looks good! Haha. Thank yooooou!

  6. Has anyone filled out their DS-160 and attempted to e-mail the confirmation page and it disappear into e-mail limbo hell?

I don't have a printer at home, but I do at work so I attempted to e-mail the confirmation page to myself, my fiancé, as well as to my work e-mail and I haven't received it yet and the damn application page expired and now I'm dyyyyyying thinking that I don't have what I need. I do, have a screenshot... AH! What do?!

  7. Quick question about the DS-160...

It asks me about upcoming travel plans, right? What the hell do I put here?! I have no upcoming travel plans to the US besides when it's finally time for me to join my fiancé there for good! Do I guesstimate? That doesn't seem proper. Haha. It won't let me skip it. HALP! I've Googled my little heart out! (I'm not a great Googler, I'll admit...)

Thank you in advance! You are all amazingly beautiful creatures!

  8. Hey All!

When calling the NVC, am I meant to be getting a "Thank you for calling the National Visa Centre! Because of the large number of calls we've been receiving, all of our customer service representatives are busy helping other customers. Please try again later...." recording? And then it disconnects. I haven't heard this "busy" signal everyones been mentioning, or is that it? Am I doing it right?! Hahaha. Now that it's more of an involved waiting game, I am convinced I'm going to screw it up somehow! Reassure me! Ahhhh! Hahaha.

    Thank you!!

  9. Long time listener, first time caller...

With an NOA-1 date of 10/28/14 we saw an APPROVAL yesterday, 05/26/15 -210 days!

I have much enjoyed being a fly on the wall to this forum, and although I have not participated, I thank each and every one of you for your support, and knowledge to help my fiancé and I make our way through this hell of a wait! Looking forward to reading more of everyone's progress! Much love, and health, and happiness to you all!

    See ya'll on the NOA-2 side! :)

  10. Good Evening,

From 2007 - 2008 I was in the UK on a Working Holiday Visa - do I require police certificates from the UK? How do I go about obtaining them having only been there briefly on a Working Holiday Visa? I have visited the ACRO website but cannot seem to find any information on completing the application as a Canadian citizen.

    Thank you kindly!

  11. Yay congratulations, the paper work side of things in my opinion is the most stressful part as its the only part you really have control of. All I will say is triple check every single question on forms, make sure all signatures are there and original and ensure you have everything listes of the VJ's k1 guide. Make sure you also have 3 copies of everything (one to send, one to send to beneficiary and one for oopies). Best of luck :)

Ah! I'm so glad you mentioned the original signature. We've been scanning the forms to send them back and forth. We'll overnight the originals and be a day behind but on the proper track again! Thank you guys so much!

While I'm here... The answer to the 34a portion of the I-129f, ours is pretty detailed, is that okay? We typed up an extra single page of our meetings (thankfully we live pretty close - 7 hour drive) And we're able to spend a lot of time actually together. Do we list every visit over the 2 year period as requested or just a quick breakdown?

    Thanks again!

  12. My apologies! I do believe I meant the petition fee.

Initial package is all ready to be sent off on Monday, pending we can figure out what amount we are sending with it.

I shouldn't be using my brain this late at night - it's 1:30 here - but it's one of those things that's keeping me awake. Haha.

I thank you again for your assistance, it is greatly appreciated!

  13. Amazing! Thank you for the quick replies! So far, the payment part has been the only thing to stump me.

One more question, again may be silly... This fee, is it the $265 as stated on the USCIS website? Is that the most current fee? Or is it the $340 as stated on the I-129F instruction form as posted above? CONFUSED! Hahaha.

    Thank you again!
