  1. Just want to clarify for others who might be in a slightly different situation:

I'm glad that it turned out to be a mistake in your case, but as I said earlier, it is very possible to have two biometrics appointments withing a few weeks or months of each other.

If you have already done your biometrics and your fingerprints are unreadable, they will ask you to do them again. It is not an issue of having multiple finger prints, it's just that when they take your finger prints at the application support center or the field office, they cannot guarantee that their quality will be accepted during the background check process. Regardless of whether or not the process is computerized, a bad scan is still a bad scan.

Again, I'm glad that you won't have to do this. Best of luck!

I never SAID I don't have to do another finger print. I shared the link that talks about possible mistakes from USCIS that's going on. I am not sure if I have to do another finger print. I have not received any letter yet but I suppose to this week or so. if I get a letter I will simply call them to see if this is a mistake or I have to do another finger print. I hope it is a mistake just to save time and plus Houston office is extremely slow!

we gotto see what will happen next!

  2. Sorry, no recommendations except being patient. It sounds like you haven't been waiting all that long. USCIS tries to complete your process in about 5 months. The national average is about 5 to 6 months, meaning that some offices will be faster and some will be slower. Houston is a busy office and will probably take longer. Even of they are faster than average and if they get done with your process in the target of 5 months, then you will take your oath in December. That means that if you are interviewed in November or early December, then you're still moving faster than average. I wouldn't worry at this point, but that's just my opinion. Look at Houston applicants in other monthly threads and compare your timeline to theirs. I read the other threads too, so I'll be happy to answer any questions on your month's thread.

Thanks, yes I figured all I can do it to wait :)

  3. Congrat Nimaan.

JimmyHou, it seems like you have been in this website for awhile specially Houston office. I filed my N-400 on 7/21 and had bio 8/19 (GC anniversary is 10/11 based on marriage). I receive a YL but I am still waiting to get inline (almost 2 months now). is there a chance I am inline but they forgot to update the website (still initial review) for some reason, any recommendation?

    Thank you.

  4. if your field office is Houston (as is mine), there is a delay. It's one of the most backlogged field offices. Hopefully we'll get our interview letters soon. I haven't gotten mine either. Just my yellow letter that i'm in line and my text. That was back on August 22nd.

Yes it is Houston, I was hoping to be inline by now. I filed 7/21 and had bio 8/19 got Yellow Letter & still waiting to get inline at least.

  5. Hi Houston 1, this information might cheer you up. My friend and I applied for citizenship together: we filed the forms together, we did our bio together (even though the original dates where a day difference), we both got yellow letters (again with a day difference). However I did get an inline and my friend did not.

Now we're both waiting for the interview letter and hoping that it would be the same day (we want to save some money on gas plus it's nice to have a friend with you before the interview for the support).

Diazy, thank you, all we can do it wait :) I had my bio 8/19, I guess will wait & see.
